It even includes cult classics like Resident Evil, Death Becomes Her and The Purge. 2 The Tubi app can be easily added to your Fire Stick or mobile device Credit: Getty 2 The streamer is free and boasts a catalogue of over 40,000 movies and TV shows Credit: Alamy Tubi offers a free ad-supported video-on-demand library which is compatible with Fire Sticks and mobile devices. Since launching in the UK in July 2024, the streamer has expanded to include more than 40,000 movies and TV episodes. The latest additions to the platform's extensive material comes from its deals with major distributors like AMC Networks, Lionsgate, NBCUniversal, New Regency and Sony Pictures. It includes films like Baby Driver, Zombieland, The Purge, and Mama - as well as a range of TV shows. Ross Appleton, General Manager of Tubi's UK service, said: "Since launching nearly a year ago in the UK, Tubi has doubled its library size, cementing its position as offering the biggest collection of free movies and TV series in the UK. "With rising costs and fragmentation in streaming, Tubi will continue to offer viewers extensive content choice and a highly personalised viewing experience. All for free." Sam Harowitz, SVP of Content Acquisitions and Partnerships at the company said they had looked at performance data to help them choose which genres to focus on. He said: "With these latest studio library deals we have further invested in robust existing partnerships and doubled down on providing fandoms with a deep catalogue of movies and TV series across top performing genres such as horror, action, thrillers, and comedies." In addition to its licensed content, the streaming service has also produced more than 300 exclusive originals. This includes the adult animation The Freak Brothers which was met with positive reviews. Roku reveals brand new streaming stick TV device packed with free channels With a star-studded cast including Woody Harrelson, John Goodman and Pete Davidson, the show followed three Freak brothers and their cat as they adjust to life in 2020 after a magical strain of marijuana put them to sleep for 50 years. If you're looking for a more family-friendly show, viewers can enjoy the popular animated series RoboForce which boasts a 9.2 / 10 star rating on IMDB. The streamer has also debuted an extensive list of original documentaries for those looking for a more hard-hitting TV show. Housing the largest collection of on-demand content, with 275,000 movies and TV episodes, the popular streamer has amassed a fanbase of 97 million monthly active users. With a range of foreign language films, and availability in countries including Ecuador, Mexico, Canada and Australia, it's no wonder the platform has amassed such a global viewership. The service was founded in 2014 as a revolutionary stand out in the streaming sector. Instead of a subscription-based model, the company relies on ads to provide a free service to its millions of users. Platforms like this have become increasingly popular as the cost of living has gone up and households have cut down on the number of services they pay for. All you need to do to access the seemingly endless free content is sign up to an account online. You can then download the app across a range of compatible devices - including Fire Sticks and mobile phones - to make the most of their content, wherever you are. The streamer is also running a competition for indie filmmakers that could launch their career. In a collaboration with Kickstarter, their FilmStream Collective gives filmmakers the opportunity to access funding with guaranteed distribution on the platform.

Toto Wolff tears into Red Bull's 'petty' and 'embarrassing' protest against George Russell - after Mercedes star won race following Max Verstappen incident
Toto Wolff has branded Red Bull's protest against George Russell 'embarrassing' after the Englishman zoomed to victory at the Canadian GP. Red Bull accused Russell of driving erratically and displaying unsportsmanlike conduct towards Max Verstappen during a late safety car incident. The safety car was caused on lap of 70 after Lando Norris had collided with McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri, forcing his retirement and his car to need recovering. Verstappen marginally overtook Russell for a split second, but the Dutchman accused Russell of 'braking erratically' going up to Turn 13. Red Bull's protest - the latest in a soap opera of clashes between the pair - was dismissed and Russell held on for his first win of the season, with team-mate Kimi Antonelli finishing third. Mercedes chief Wolff told Sky Sports: 'First of all, it took team Red Bull Racing two hours before they launched the protest, so that was in their doing. You know, honestly, it's so petty and so small. Two opposing views on this moment between George Russell and Max Verstappen 👇 #F1 #CanadianGP — Formula 1 (@F1) June 15, 2025 Toto Wolff has branded Red Bull's protest against George Russell as 'embarrassing' 'They've done it in Miami. Now they launched two protests. They took one back because it was ridiculous. 'They come up with some weird clauses, what they call clauses. I guess the FIA needs to look at that because it's so farfetched it was rejected. 'You know, you race, you win and you lose on track. That was a fair victory for us, like so many they had in the past. And it's just embarrassing. 'One of them they actually pulled as a protest, they didn't even follow it through because it was nonsense. 'The second one took us five hours because I don't even know what you refer to as "unsportsmanlike behaviour" or something. What is it all about? Who decides it? Because I'm 100 per cent sure it's not Max, he's a racer. 'He would never go for a protest on such a trivial thing.' Verstappen was given a five-place penalty at the Spanish GP and given three points on his licence - he is now one away from a race ban - for causing a collision with Russell. The Dutchman said he was 'p****d off' with 'childish' comments about a potential ban in the build-up to the Canadian GP. After the latest spat, Red Bull boss Christian Horner told Sky Sports: ' 'No, absolutely not [no regrets. I mean, it's a team's right to do so. You know, we saw something we didn't think was quite right.

Misogynistic attacks on Nicola Sturgeon lead to real threats, warns Kate Forbes
Speaking at the Scotland 2050 conference in Edinburgh on Tuesday, Kate Forbes addressed what she called 'abhorrent' comments from Everett, who is known for roles in hit movies such as Shrek 2 and Napoleon. In an interview with The Herald, the actor – who moved to Scotland when he was 18 to work at the Citizens Theatre in Glasgow – called the former first minister 'a witch' when discussing the record of the SNP with the arts. 'As soon as the witch Sturgeon came into power, everything changed in Scottish arts and everything had to be about being Scottish,' he said. READ MORE: Hate crime figures fall but disability attacks reach record high The former first minister branded Everett's comments 'deeply misogynistic', and Forbes was asked about them on Tuesday while speaking on a panel about women in public life. 'The problem is that these accusations, these criticisms, are so often tinged with misogynistic language. 'Whether it's women making or men making it, it is reflective of the deep-seated nature of misogynistic language and the fact that politics has gone from an exchange of views to just personal attacks, devoid of policy scrutiny. 'It's abhorrent. It's despicable. 'What's remarkable is that we've now been talking about this for at least six or seven years and it's only got worse in that time.' Forbes said that any post she made on Twitter or Facebook would see replies full of 'reels of the stuff'. (Image: Jane Barlow/PA Wire) 'It's only when somebody who should know better makes comments like that, that suddenly we all say, 'well, that's not acceptable'. But this is going on constantly. It is exhausting. 'It is totally misogynistic and whether it's men making it or women making it, the point stands that it is saturated with misogynistic language, and I think that the destructive nature of social media cannot be understated. I think it is going to transform our politics for a generation. 'It's going to transform, totally change, the type of people that are in politics for a generation, and it's particularly affecting young women.' The Deputy First Minister later said that she 'almost never' speaks publicly about the abuse she faces on social media – or the threats in real life – because she fears it will put other women off entering politics. She told the Scotland 2050 conference that the misogynistic attacks on social media were not isolated, online incidents. 'It's not just what happens online, sticks and stones and all that,' she said. 'The problem is that this spills over into the real world. 'I know myself, I'm fairly short and small, and if I have people that were once accusing me of all sorts of things on social media, then turning up to surgeries – as they have done. There's certainly been enough press coverage of threats that have been made around actual means of hurting me, it spills over into that. 'We all say, well, 'isn't it dreadful, we need to do something about social media'. 'It's just going to be a cycle until there is an intervention, that something disrupts the cycle, and we as a country – and as I suppose those of us who participate in the public square – decide to take a different approach.'
