Ghaziabad: Cops in the city have unveiled a commissionerate courts monitoring system (CCMS), a digital platform that promises to streamline court proceedings and enhance transparency in legal processes.
The system, developed under the supervision of police commissioner J Ravinder Goud, will offer real-time access to court information and updates on the status of cases.
"This digital initiative represents a fundamental shift in how we manage court cases. After a month of rigorous development and training, we're here to offer this service to the public, making legal processes more accessible and transparent," Goud told TOI.
The CCMS portal, officials said, would enable users to access court-related information remotely through their electronic devices. For law enforcement, the system provides live tracking capabilities across various sections, ensuring efficient case management and precise monitoring of hearing schedules.
A notable feature is its ability to monitor surety bonds across different BNS sections, helping prevent fraudulent submissions.

The system will also oversee precautionary measures implemented at police stations under various CrPC and BNSS regulations, ensuring accountability and proper documentation.
DCP (trans-Hindon) Nimish Patil, who is also the CCMS nodal officer, said accessing the system was a user-friendly process. "Users can simply visit www.ghaziabadpolice.com, select their court of hearing, enter relevant sections and case numbers, and instantly access hearing dates without visiting any office physically," he added.
As of now, the system has been fed with data for over 7,000 active cases across various courts

The agency suspects these individuals have been aiding terror infrastructure by facilitating operatives, transporting sticky bombs and IEDs, managing funds, and handling arms, ammunition, and narcotics. Foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said in a statement that the US move to block the resolution, which was supported by 14 of the 15 members of the council, demonstrated "the country's complicity in the crimes of the Zionist regime (Israel) and strongly condemned it". The draft resolution had demanded "an immediate, unconditional and permanent ceasefire in Gaza respected by all parties" and the unconditional release of hostages held by Hamas in the war-torn Gaza Strip. It also called for the lifting of all restrictions on humanitarian aid entering the territory. The assaults happened multiple times from January to March this year, police said. Police have confirmed that all three have been arrested, and has been booked under different sections of the POCSO Act and the BNS, including gang rape. According to the police, the minor was gang-raped several times by her mother's boyfriend and his aide, both of whom are in their thirties, in Haridwar, Agra and Vrindavan between January and March this year. The men perpetrated the crime with her mother's consent and in her presence, the police said, adding that they also threatened to kill the minor's father if she disclosed it to anyone. On Wednesday, the Uttarakhand Police arrested Anamika Sharma and her boyfriend, Sumit Patwal, from a hotel in Haridwar after a medical examination confirmed that her minor daughter had been sexually assaulted. Haridwar SSP Pramendra Dobhal also confirmed that Patwal's accomplice, Shubham, was also arrested late on Wednesday night from Shahpur, Meerut. The matter came to light on Tuesday when the minor told her father about her ordeal, following which he lodged a police complaint. A case was registered against the trio under BNS Sections 70 (2) (gang-rape), 351(3) (criminal intimidation), 3(5) (criminal act) by several persons in furtherance of common intention) and relevant sections of the POCSO Act. Sharma was stripped of the party's primary membership once her name surfaced in the case. However, BJP sources in Haridwar claim that she has not held any party post since August 2024, PTI reported.
