Preity Zinta Embraces A Dynamic Fitness Makeover at 50: Here's What's In Her Routine

News1811 hours ago
Preity Zinta's dedication is proof that fitness evolves with you and staying consistent, curious, and committed can keep you strong at any stage of life.
At 50, Preity Zinta is showing the world that fitness truly has no age limit. The Bollywood actor continues to inspire with her commitment to staying healthy and strong, recently sharing a glimpse of her intense workout session on Instagram — and it's nothing short of motivating.
In the video, Preity is seen training under celebrity fitness expert Yasmin Karachiwala. Dressed in sleek black activewear with her hair neatly tied in a ponytail, she moves through a series of dynamic exercises, mixing strength training with functional movements. From crunches to squats and pulldowns, the actor may have looked focused and strained at times, but her grit was unmistakable.
Preity wrote in her caption, 'It does not matter how long and how much you train over the years… One needs to keep changing it up so you can push your body further and harder. Here I am trying a new workout for a new project I am working on with the one & only Yasmin Karachiwala. Hope I can inspire some of you to go to the gym now."
Let's take a closer look at the workout components she tackled and why adding them to your own fitness routine might just be a game-changer:
1. Dumbbell Squats & Sumo Squats
These foundational moves aren't just about building strong legs, they also target your glutes, hamstrings, and engage your core, improving both posture and flexibility.
2. Side Lunges
Side lunges are great for hip and thigh strength. They improve lateral movement, enhance balance, and help protect your joints from injury — a perfect low-impact move for all ages.
3. Cable Curls
These bicep-burners offer consistent resistance, helping build arm strength, muscle control, and endurance over time.
4. Crunches & Planks
A classic for a reason. Crunches are effective for toning the abdominal muscles, while planks go a step further activating your shoulders, back, glutes, and legs for full-body engagement.
5. Arm Pulldowns
Targeting the back, shoulders, and triceps, this upper-body move builds strength and improves coordination, especially helpful for posture and overall muscle tone.
Whether it's for an upcoming project or personal health, Preity Zinta's dedication is proof that fitness evolves with you and staying consistent, curious, and committed can keep you strong at any stage of life.
So the next time you're tempted to skip that workout? Remember Preity's words, and show up for yourself just like she does.

Sharon Stone Was 'Frustrated' With Rubber Knives in Nobody 2: 'Throw Real…'

Last Updated: Sharon Stone, 67, returns in Nobody 2 as antagonist Lendina, frustrated with rubber knives. After a 2001 stroke, she doubted herself but was convinced by her kids and Bob Odenkirk. Sharon Stone got 'frustrated" throwing rubber knives in Nobody 2. The 67-year-old actress features in the upcoming action sequel as antagonist Lendina and demanded that real knives be used in the scenes to make things more authentic. Sharon told Empire magazine: 'I've been in the action-movie business for a really long time. I was getting really frustrated because the stunt team was having me throw a bunch of f****** rubber knives. If you're going to throw knives, throw real knives." Sharon had not appeared in an action movie since suffering a life-threatening stroke in 2001 and admits that she had doubts about whether she could return to the genre after being approached for a role in the film alongside Bob Odenkirk. The Basic Instinct star said: 'Twenty years ago or so I had a stroke. And I started over, and I haven't done an action movie since then. I literally did not know, 'Do I still have it in me? Am I going to be able to come in here and make people believe that I can be this ass-kicking hyper-villain?'" Sharon was convinced to sign up for the sequel after watching the original 2021 flick Nobody with her kids – adopted sons Roan, 25, Laird, 20, and Quinn, 19 – and explained that they were thrilled when she accepted the part. The Total Recall star said: 'When I was up for it, my kids were out of my minds." She also relished the opportunity to collaborate with Better Call Saul star Odenkirk. Stone said: 'He's a good guy. I love the work, Odenkirk loves his work. He's like (Robert) De Niro, working to work better." Bob also enjoyed the experience and is now planning to work together with her on another film. The 62-year-old star said: 'We're trying to think of another movie we can do together. I have an idea that I've been kicking around. A very low-key comedy." The idea to cast Sharon as the villain came about as Odenkirk wants the Nobody franchise to become a 'fantasy" in a similar way to the James Bond films. He said: 'I want it to become a fantasy. I want it to become James Bond, and I want the villain to be as big and colourful and unreal as a James Bond villain." Odenkirk suffered a heart attack while filming Better Call Saul in 2021 but insists that reprising his role as ex-government assassin Hutch Mansell did not pose a health risk. He explained: 'There's almost no scarring on my heart after all that. And the reason is, according to the nurse and my cardio doctor, is that these other veins that feed your heart were somewhat enlarged. They're bigger than you normally see, and that was because of the two-and-a-half years of training for Nobody. I can work out. I do two a day when I'm training for the movie." view comments First Published: August 04, 2025, 19:15 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. ‘Bahut Khadoos Hai!': Farah Khan's Cook Dilip ROASTS Her In Front Of Boman Irani In Hilarious Vlog

Farah Khan's cook Dilip calls her "khadoos" and reveals hilarious secrets in front of Boman Irani in her latest vlog. Farah Khan and her cook Dilip's delightful banter continues to be the internet's favourite comfort-watch. In her latest vlog, the filmmaker and choreographer takes Dilip along for a visit to actor Boman Irani's house, where the two friends cook up some traditional Parsi dishes—along with a generous side of gossip. As Farah cheekily warns Dilip not to tell her husband if she flirts with Boman—whom she adorably calls 'her favourite"—the trio gets busy chopping, marinating, and chatting in the kitchen. But the real entertainment begins when Boman pulls Dilip aside for a 'private" tête-à-tête and insists the cameras be turned off (spoiler: they weren't). 'Farah camera ke saamne itni acchi baatein karti hai, jab camera band hota hai toh kaisi hai?" Boman asks, teasing. Dilip doesn't skip a beat: 'Bahut khadoos hai (She's very grumpy)." Boman, feigning mock hurt, continues, 'Woh mere baare mein hamesha acchi baatein karti hai. Kya yeh sach hai?" Once again, Dilip delivers a killer punchline: 'Nahi, aapki bahut burai karti hai (No, she talks badly about you)." And when the conversation shifts to food—Farah's favourite subject—Boman asks if she's actually following a diet. 'Diet pe nahi hai, Farah ma'am. Khoob saara khaati hai," Dilip reveals with a laugh. 'Diet pe hoti hai toh dal chawal, soup chawal… par jab diet pe nahi hoti, toh khoob saara khaati hai." The vlog, while packed with humour, also offers glimpses into the genuine warmth shared between Farah, Boman, and Zenobia Irani, who joins in to help with the chutney prep. From laughing about flirtations to arguing about food portions, the camaraderie is evident—and deeply infectious. Farah and Boman's friendship goes way back. The two first worked together in Main Hoon Na, followed by their adorable pairing in Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi and later Happy New Year. Over the years, their off-screen chemistry has remained just as entertaining as their on-screen magic—and this vlog is proof that some bonds only get better (and funnier) with time.
