Warm weather expected across KwaZulu-Natal
'KwaZulu-Natal will experience warmer conditions than much of the country, with cloudy skies and only light winds,' said forecaster Mpho Rasimphi.
This week, the province will remain one of the warmest regions in South Africa.
Night-time weather lows will stay relatively mild compared to the interior, with Durban at 12°C.
'KwaZulu-Natal's overnight temperatures will be comfortable, especially along the coast, where the sea breeze helps maintain warmth,' Rasimphi explained.
Cloud cover will persist into the night, adding to the balmy feel.
The coming days will bring weather, sunshine, and clouds, with isolated showers expected over central inland parts.
'We are seeing a chance of showers moving into KwaZulu-Natal on Friday, especially in the afternoon,' Rasimphi said.
Despite this, temperatures will remain warm, with highs in the mid-20s for much of the province.

Cloudy skies and rain ahead for Gauteng
Gauteng residents should brace for a cloudy Friday, 15 August, with widespread showers expected for the weekend. According to Mpho Rasimphi, a forecaster, the weather system will intensify Friday overnight, bringing a 60% chance of rain over Tshwane and surrounding areas. Johannesburg is forecast to peak at 24°C on Friday, offering mild daytime warmth before the weekend cools. The wet weather will continue into Saturday, with showers stretching from Gauteng into the Free State and North West. 'It will be a warm day in Gauteng, as temperatures will remain in the mid-20s,' Rasimphi noted. As the rain lingers over the weekend, cooler nights will take hold across Gauteng. Some areas in the central interior are expected to experience minimum temperatures below 10°C. The combination of rain and cooler air could prompt residents to prepare for damp mornings and chilly evenings. Let us know by leaving a comment below, or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 021 1. Thundershowers expected in parts of KwaZulu-Natal
KwaZulu-Natal residents in the southern parts should brace for wet weather tomorrow. Showers and thundershowers are forecast across various parts of the province. Forecaster Phemelo Zonke said the cold front is driving unstable weather over the southeastern regions, affecting both inland and coastal areas. Early morning fog patches are expected in some areas, potentially reducing visibility to less than a kilometre. Motorists are urged to drive cautiously during the morning commute. Zonke advised, 'Fog can set in quickly and unexpectedly in coastal and inland valleys. Keep headlights on low beam, maintain safe following distances, and avoid sudden stops.' Tomorrow, showers and rain will also affect the Eastern Cape's southern coastline, while thundershowers will occur in the Northern Cape and Free State. KwaZulu-Natal's interior will remain cooler, while coastal cities may see warmer breaks between showers. Let us know by leaving a comment below, or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 021 1.
