What our Post expert thinks about the FIFA Club World Cup Inter Milan doesn't necessarily need a win to advance past the group stage, but with a draw and a win already under their belt, they'd need to be blown out on Wednesday night to stop them from advancing. River Plate is currently leading the group with the goal differential tiebreaker slightly better than Inter's. This is to say it would be wise for Inter Milan to play a slow pace and control the ball as they look to advance on Wednesday. New customers, 21+ and physically present in NJ, MI, PA. Real Madrid top target refuses to talk about future
Real Madrid have done an exceptional job in the transfer market so far, notably bringing in the likes of Dean Huijsen, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Franco Mastantuono. However, one player that continues to elude them is Alvaro Carreras. The SL Benfica fullback was destined to join Real Madrid earlier in the summer, but his move has stalled recently. Advertisement Carreras is, in fact, still playing for Benfica in the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup, although Real Madrid have not given up in the chase. The Spanish giants still remain hopeful of completing the Carreras signing after the Club World Cup. Alvaro Carreras on his future In the midst of this Club World Cup campaign, Carreras was approached by MARCA editor Jose Felix Diaz, who asked him about his future. Carreras, though, remained coy about his future, refusing to openly acknowledge speculation about his future at SL Benfica. Alvaro Carreras remains a key target for Real Madrid this summer. (Photo by) Advertisement 'Now the important thing is the World Cup. Everything's fine,' he told Diaz. Carreras' statement suggests he is being cautious about talks regarding his future, especially knowing that Real Madrid must still find an agreement with SL Benfica, in order to facilitate his transfer. The Spaniard, for his part, though, is determined to join Real Madrid this summer and is, in fact, counting days for a move to the Santiago Bernabeu. However, with the Club World Cup not getting over until the second week of next month, Real Madrid will have to pay the waiting game, for now, as they look to secure their fourth signing of the new season. Real Madrid, though, are also attentive about other alternatives in the market, having been linked with a move for Alejandro Grimaldo lately.
