Tennessee basketball to host five-star center
Tennessee will host 2027 five-star center prospect Eve Long. The 6-foot-3 center will visit Tennessee on Sept. 13, according to Dushawn London of 247Sports.
'Eve Long, the No. 7 overall prospect in the class of 2027, has locked in multiple fall unofficials,' London announced.
Long is also scheduled to visit Notre Dame on Oct. 18 and Kansas on Oct. 25.
She is from Olathe South High School in Olathe, Kansas. Long ranks as the No. 2 center nationally in the 2027 247Sports Composite.
The 2027 prospect has SEC scholarship offers Tennessee, Oklahoma, Mississippi State, Auburn, Arkansas, Ole Miss and Texas.
Caldwell guided the Lady Vols to a 24-10 (8-8 SEC) record and advanced to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 in the 2024-25 basketball season. Tennessee will tipoff its 2025-26 season Nov. 4 versus North Carolina State in Greensboro, North Carolina (ESPN2).

ATLANTA (AP) — Kendell Brooks scored on a 53-yard interception return and rookie quarterback Cameron Ward had mixed results as the Tennessee Titans beat the Atlanta Falcons 23-20 in a preseason game Friday night. Falcons undrafted free agent rushes for 43-yard TD vs. Titans
After an uneventful first half, the Atlanta Falcons have turned things around in the second half of their preseason matchup against the Tennessee Titans. Not only did the offense break off a huge touchdown run, but the kickoff team also managed to force a fumble on the ensuing kickoff. Undrafted free agent Nate Carter bounced back from a slow night to break off the 43-yard touchdown in the third quarter. Tight end Teagan Quitoriano recovered the fumble and wide receiver Chris Blair hauled in a 53-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Easton Stick. Just like that, the Falcons tied the game with the Titans at 20. The team scored 17 points in the third quarter after putting up just six points in the first half.
