Tennessee basketball to host five-star center

Second-year head coach Kim Caldwell and Tennessee continue to recruit future Lady Vols. Tennessee will host 2027 five-star center prospect Eve Long. The 6-foot-3 center will visit Tennessee on Sept. 13, according to Dushawn London of 247Sports. 'Eve Long, the No. 7 overall prospect in the class of 2027, has locked in multiple fall unofficials,' London announced. Long is also scheduled to visit Notre Dame on Oct. 18 and Kansas on Oct. 25. She is from Olathe South High School in Olathe, Kansas. Long ranks as the No. 2 center nationally in the 2027 247Sports Composite. The 2027 prospect has SEC scholarship offers Tennessee, Oklahoma, Mississippi State, Auburn, Arkansas, Ole Miss and Texas. Caldwell guided the Lady Vols to a 24-10 (8-8 SEC) record and advanced to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 in the 2024-25 basketball season. Tennessee will tipoff its 2025-26 season Nov. 4 versus North Carolina State in Greensboro, North Carolina (ESPN2).
