Kelly Clarkson Performs ‘Heartbeat Song' With Daughter River Rose in Las Vegas
'Last night we had a very special guest — my daughter River Rose joined us for 'Heartbeat Song,'' Clarkson wrote on Instagram. 'It's her favorite song.' River, now 11 years old, previously performed the record with her mom in 2023. 'She's been jamming to this song since she was a baby,' Clarkson shared at the time. 'She loves this song so much, so she was like, 'Can I sing this song?''
For that performance, the pair was also joined by Clarkson's son, Remington Alexander. 'Both of my kiddos backstage getting ready to join me on stage in Vegas. Nothing will ever be as cool and amazing as these two little humans that will always have my whole heart,' Clarkson said.
Clarkson and River have become frequent collaborators over the years. In 2023, the singer recruited her daughter to appear on 'You Don't Make Me Cry' from her latest album Chemistry.
Clarkson kicked off her latest Vegas residency earlier this month after delaying the opening hours before her first night. 'The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice,' she said. 'I want the shows to be perfect for y'all and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve. The show is truly incredible. The musicians and singers are outstanding, and I want us all to start out strong.'
The live show is scheduled to continue through November.

Kelly Clarkson postpones Las Vegas residency due to ex-husband Brandon Blackstock's illness: What we know
The singer announced that the remaining August dates of her 'Studio Sessions' shows at Caesars Palace will be postponed while she tends to her family. Kelly Clarkson says she is postponing her Las Vegas residency so she can be with her children because their father, her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, has been ill. 'Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas,' Clarkson announced in a post on Instagram. 'While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children's father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them.' The nature of Blackstock's illness was not disclosed. Clarkson added: 'I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding.' The 'Since U Been Gone' singer's remaining shows at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace this month had been scheduled for Aug. 8-9 and Aug. 15-16. Her next run at the 4,100-capacity venue, which was previously announced, is set for November. According to Caesars Palace, ticket holders for the postponed dates can hold on to their tickets for rescheduled shows in 2026 or opt for a refund. According to Ticketmaster, Clarkson has six dates at Caesars scheduled for July and August 2026. Clarkson, 43, and Blackstock, 48, married in 2013. The couple announced their split in 2020, and their divorce was finalized in 2022. The American Idol alum and music manager have two children: River Rose, their 11-year-old daughter, and Remy Alexander, their 9-year-old son. Postponements and absences This is the second postponement of Clarkson's residency, which opened in July. The first show was abruptly postponed just hours before she was set to take the stage after the singer said that she needed to rest her vocal cords. "The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice," Clarkson wrote on Instagram on July 4. "I want the shows to be perfect for y'all and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve.' In March, Clarkson stepped away from her eponymous daytime talk show for nearly two weeks while a variety of celebrities acted as guest hosts. When Clarkson returned, she cited only 'personal reasons' for her mysterious absence, which stirred speculation among fans that it could have something to do with Blackstock. News Nation subsequently reported that Blackstock was sick and that Clarkson skipped show tapings to take their children to see him. Solve the daily Crossword
