JORGINHO has completed his move to Flamengo - just hours after leaving Arsenal.
The Brazilian midfielder, 33, was released from his contract early by the Gunners.

Jorginho joined Arsenal in January 2023 from Chelsea.
The 33-year-old made 78 appearances for Mikel Arteta's side, but mostly featured off the bench this season.
Jorginho was set to leave the club when his deal expired on 30 June.
But the club arranged for him to be released early so he could play for Flamengo in the Club World Cup.

He has penned a three-year deal with the Brazilian side.
The Gunners described Jorginho as a "valuable and integral part of the club" in a statement confirming his early release.
It added: "Everyone at Arsenal Football Club would like to thank Jorgi for his contribution to the club.
"We wish him and his family all the best for the future."

Flamengo's draw for the Club World Cup sees them face Tunis, Los Angeles FC and Chelsea in the group stage.
It means Jorginho will face his former club on June 20 at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field.

A familiar face to Blues fans will also play against Chelsea in the tournament opener.
Olivier Giroud, who played for both the Blues and Arsenal, currently leads the line for Los Angeles FC.
The MLS club booked their place in the competition with a nervy qualifying win over Mexican giants Club America earlier this month.

The winner-takes-all tie came about after Mexico's Club Leon were kicked out of the new-look competition before it even started.
Leon were due to be in Group D alongside Chelsea.
But they were booted due to a violation of Fifa's rules on multi-club ownership.
The 32-team tournament starts later this month.
Manchester City, among the favourites for the crown, face Italian giants Juventus, Morocco's Wydad AC and Al Ain of the UAE in the group stages.

Five Chelsea players are in Thomas Tuchel 's England squad, squeezing in games against Andorra and Senegal between winning a European final and competing at the Club World Cup. They will resume the Premier League in mid-August and go again for 11 months, culminating in the real World Cup. Given the schedule, it's been suggested Tuchel should have allowed Reece James, Cole Palmer, Levi Colwill, Noni Madueke and Trevor Chalobah to spend time with their families rather than calling them up. I'm firmly on the England manager's side. His responsibility is to win the World Cup, not protect clubs about to play in an additional tournament in America for greed. Physically, England's double-header won't demand a lot of intensity from the players and it's a rare chance to spend a full week together in the Spanish sunshine and benefit the squad in terms of camaraderie. Having the Chelsea boys involved is a help, not a hindrance, to our chances of glory next year. They will get a chance to disengage mentally after the Club World Cup and I think the other arguments regarding player welfare and too many games are overblown. I find the argument about player burn-out a bit tedious, and I speak as someone who experienced the demands of competing at a high level. With the size and strength of squads these days, very few players are used in every minute of every match. Palmer, for example, sat out Chelsea's group fixtures in Europe and the Conference League final was only his 48th game of the season for club and country — not excessive or likely to cause fatigue. There has never been a better time to be a footballer. With the facilities and sport science available to them, no stone is left unturned when looking after them physically and mentally. Tuchel doesn't have any obligation to alter his plans to accommodate the Club World Cup, a contrived competition which is more exciting to those clubs raking in prize-money than the players themselves. For Palmer and the other Chelsea lads, having spent a week in Barcelona, going to the Spanish Grand Prix and enjoying a barbecue before a game against Andorra won't be draining or detrimental to next season. If any of them do start to feel sorry for themselves, they should look at Mo Salah and Lionel Messi as two examples of top professionals who are always available and able to maintain exceptional standards. And if Chelsea are concerned about some of their players next season, they can give them time off at the start of the Premier League, as Pep Guardiola has done for Manchester City. What would have been unfair is Tuchel making concessions and not picking his strongest squad. The manager has very limited time with his players and this has been an important week for Team England, off the pitch as much as on it as manager and team-mates get to know each other properly. He has shown a single-mindedness I think augurs well for the World Cup.

The Blues have already been extremely busy since the end of last season. Brazilian winger Estevao Willian is set to make his move from Palmeiras official alongside Ecuadorian youngster Kendry Paez. Chelsea have also signed Liam Delap and Dário Essugo from Ipswich and Sporting Lisbon respectively over the past week. And those signings could potentially be joined by English wideman Gittens. As first reported by French outlet RMC Sport, the West London side have agreed on a seven-year deal with the 20-year-old to move to Stamford Bridge. Chelsea have tabled a £29.5m bid - although it's believed they'll need to go higher - and hope to get a deal secured before the first part of the summer transfer window closes on Tuesday. Gittens, an England under-21 international, was actually at Chelsea as a youngster as well as a host of other clubs. He eventually found his way to Manchester City but quit the club in 2020 as he became the latest in a long line of promising English talents to move to the Bundesliga. He has since gone on to make over 100 appearances for Dortmund, scoring 17 goals - 12 of which came last season. Despite still having three years left to run on his deal, it appears he will now depart Dortmund if the two clubs can agree a fee. Gittens has a £50m release clause in his contract, but Chelsea are hoping to get it done for slightly less. Sporting director Sebastian Kehl admitted earlier this year that there was potentially interest in Gittens. He said: 'There's definitely a market for him. He's a very exciting player. We'll be having discussions soon. If offers come in, we'll have to deal with them.' 'We want to reduce wages,' Kehl added. 'That said, it's possible we'll continue with some of these players. But some may no longer be part of the BVB squad next season.' Gittens will arrive at Stamford Bridge as a possible replacement for Jadon Sancho, who has departed the club after Chelsea chiefs decided not to sign him permanently following his loan. The West Londoners have decided not to activate a £25m clause in the deal, and have consequently paid a £5m penalty. In a statement on social media, the winger said: "Grateful for the experience. Big love to everyone at Chelsea who made me feel at home — teammates, staff and the fans. Wishing the club all the best moving forward. Truly grateful, Thank you Blues." Sancho made 45 appearances across his season with Chelsea, scoring five goals and notching ten assists as Enzo Maresca's side won the Conference League.
