What is the Manscaped The Chairman Pro Electric Shaver?
Manscaped has been making waves in the grooming industry, predominantly for popularising electric shavers that have been designed to tackle the, ahem, nether regions. YouTube, social media sites and the web in general has been awash with tongue-in-cheek adverts for The Lawnmower and other groin-shearing products.
The same focus on a smooth finish with minimum irrigation has now been applied to the face, with Manscaped expanding its range of SkinSafe products into some of the best electric shavers and beard trimmers out there.
The Chairman Pro sits at the very top of the range and offers two interchangeable heads that offer either a baby smooth finish or precise control over stubble length. It's a canny USP, as it gives the user greater choice when it comes to the results – whether that's one, or even two-day stubble or squeaky clean cheeks.
The Chairman Pro is a fully waterproof electric shaver, allowing it to be used in the shower or bath, or with creams and oils for sensitive skin, while a small LCD display gives an accurate read out of remaining battery life.
All of this is housed inside a smart package, which is easy to hold and looks great, with simple magnetic heads making both cleaning and swapping out the four-blade foil for the stubble trimmer a doddle.
How we test electric shavers
It's difficult to get a feel for an electric shaver after just one use, as it generally takes a few sessions to work out whether it provides the desired finish without irritation or razor burn, as well as its ability to offer the advertised runtime.
That's why we test all shavers over several weeks, with The Chairman Pro used three or four times a week to gain insight into the closeness of the shave, how the electric shaver handles, the overall skin comfort, its ease of use and the ease of cleaning and maintaining.
On top of this, we timed each shaving session, allowing the unit to run its battery down over the course of a week or so to see if the manufacturer's runtime claims were accurate.
To get the most accurate overall picture of performance, we also tested any accessories that came with the shaver, be it stubble guards, combs or cleaning kit.

Closeness of shave: 9/10
Where the Chairman Pro is concerned, closeness of shave is optional, as it comes with two different shaving heads that magnetically snap on to the main body.
A four-blade foil shaver is designed to shave even thicker stubble right down to the skin, with SkinSafe blade technology employed to minimise the risk of irritation. With this head attached, it offers squeaky clean results on even tougher five-day stubble, with only a few passes and minimal pressure required.
Alternatively, the stubble trimmer, which features just two foil blades and two individual plastic guards, allows for a two or even three-day stubble look. However this isn't a beard trimmer, as it still cuts the hair short. For that, you will be better suited to one of the best beard trimmers.
Similarly, the Chairman Pro isn't one to turn to if you are thinking of trying a spot of amateur barbering, unless you are taking a grade 1 down to the skin. A pair of hair clippers is far better suited, as they are more powerful and allow for varying lengths.
During testing, I preferred the stubble trimmer with the shortest guard attached, as this allowed for a smooth shave, without taking it right down to the skin. That said, it took multiple passes to ensure all of the facial hair was trimmed which, for some, might lead to some irritation.
However, the four-blade foil is excellent at delivering a really close shave, with no razor burn or ingrown hairs reported, even after several weeks of use.
Maneouvrability: 8/10
Manscaped's top tier electric shaver comes with a number of handy features, including the LED light that illuminates the part of the face that you are heading towards. In addition to this, the company also includes a Precision Lock feature that allows the main shaving head to be locked at the perfect angle.
When left to freely swivel, the Chairman Pro did a fantastic job of following the contours of the face, but locking the head at a specific angle assists in achieving a more precise finish to longer stubble, carefully trimming sideburns or simply reaching those more difficult spots, like under the nose.
However, the shaving heads themselves are quite large and therefore lack the sharp finish of separate, smaller T-blade precision trimmers that can be found on some rival shavers. These typically slide up from the rear of the shaver and allow for more precise lines.
In addition to this, I found that the Stubble Trimmer, complete with plastic guards, struggled to tackle hard-to-reach areas, requiring multiple passes over the top lip and under the jawline to ensure all hairs were tackled equally.
Other than that, it felt great in the hand, with an ergonomically designed shape and textured plastic on the flanks ensuring it was easy to grip, even when wet.
Comfort: 9/10
Manscaped's SkinSafe technology is designed to minimise irritation and nicks in the most sensitive of areas and does a great job of trimming hair to the skin without snagging or irritation.
The main four-blade foil employs a multitude of different blade designs to first lift hairs and then guide them into the foil for efficient cutting. If you prefer a clean shaven look, this is the most efficient tool and it does so without irritating razor burn, nor the need to perform endless amounts of passes.
Even after using it for several weeks, shaving at least twice a week, I didn't experience any signs of irritation, nor did I notice any ingrown hairs and other nasty side effects.
It's also possible to use the Chairman Pro alongside specific shaving gels and oils, which mitigates any form of irritation further. It's a comfortable experience and one that's extremely easy to use, with that illuminating LED making it easy to spot flat-lying hairs and spots you might have otherwise missed.
Ease of use: 9/10
Electric shavers rarely require a degree in modern mechanics to fathom, but the Chairman Pro is up there with some of the simplest to get on with. Charging is via a fairly standard USB-C cable, meaning it can be charged from laptops and other handy outlets when travelling.
A full 90-minute charge delivers a claimed 75-minutes of runtime and that's pretty much spot on. During testing, I managed seven circa ten-minute shaving sessions before the small LED display on the unit informed me it was time to charge.
Other than that, swapping heads simply requires pulling the magnetic units from the pinch points at the sides and lifting away. New heads snap on with ease and the small plastic guards are guided into obvious slots. That said, these plastic guards are a little flimsy, meaning they require some care.
Ease of cleaning: 9/10
Being waterproof, the Chairman Pro is very simple to clean. Remove the magnetic foil cover, tap hairs into the sink and then rinse the unit with warm water. Manscaped then suggests you run the shaver motors under warm water with the unit switched on, before laying everything out to air dry.
To ensure the blades remain sharp and effective, Manscaped sells replacement magnetic blade heads on its site, which range from £28 for the stubble trimmer to £45 for the foil blade. Manscaped recommends changing them every 12 to 18 months, but this will vary on the degree of usage.
Technical specifications
There are many electric foil shavers that rival the Chairman Pro, but very few come with swappable magnetic heads for greater control over stubble length. One of the closest in terms of price is the Wahl Lifeproof Plus Wet/Dry Shaver, which is a sturdily built unit that delivers an equally close shave.
Telegraph verdict: 9/10
Considering the price, the Chairman Pro offers an excellent shave, alongside the ability to gain greater control over stubble length. If you don't like the perfectly clean shaven look all the time, this is a solid addition to the bathroom armoury.
Throw in the LCD display, the built-in illuminating LED and the general build quality, and the Chairman Pro represents excellent value for money. It's worth noting that the 90-day warranty is shorter than some rivals, which can offer up to four or five years.
That said, Manscaped can take care of your entire grooming routine, offering various packages that throw in shaving gels and soothing balms, as well as the ability to subscribe and have these automatically replenished. Great for forgetful hairy types.

Ninja air fryer at lowest price all year on Amazon and cheaper buying direct

This particular model of Ninja air fryer is one of the brand's best-sellers and is currently on offer on Amazon, saving shoppers a huge amount of money Air fryers have become the latest kitchen sensation, offering a faster and more convenient cooking method that's winning over families everywhere. With so many brands vying for attention, it can be quite the challenge to select the cream of the crop. Ninja, despite being on the pricier side, has gained a reputation for producing some of the finest air fryers around, as evidenced by the tonnes of glowing reviews on its website. Ninja's own research also suggest that its air fryers could lead to energy savings when compared to traditional oven cooking. The Ninja Foodi MAX Dual Zone Digital Air Fryer is one of the brand's most popular, with Ninja saying that it can whip up fish fingers and sausages a whopping 75% quicker than your standard oven (pre-heating included). Its studies further suggest that an air fryer could "save up to 65% on energy bills" when rustling up sausages, in contrast with a fan oven. While the Foodi MAX Dual Zone Air Fryer is reduced on the Ninja website, down from £229.99 to £179.99, bargain hunters will be thrilled to find that Amazon has slashed the price even further. Right now, Amazon is tempting shoppers with the Ninja Foodi MAX Dual Zone Digital Air Fryer at a reduced rate of £170.12, which translates to a hefty 26% discount. And if you're one to keep an eye on deals, Camelcamelcamel confirms this is the lowest price the gadget has seen on Amazon this year. The Ninja Foodi MAX air fryer, praised for its dual cooking zones that let different dishes be prepared at the same time, has been making waves, according to the Daily Record. With six versatile cooking functions – max crisp, air fry, roast, bake, reheat and dehydrate – this gadget is revolutionising kitchen counters by delivering a range of culinary possibilities, from crisping frozen goodies to warming up last night's dinner. Moreover, Ninja says it slashes fat usage by up to 75% on its air frying setting. Ideal for either meal prep aficionados or hosting duties, the air fryer's large size can whip up eight servings in one go, fitting either 1.4kg of fries or 2kg of chicken effortlessly into each compartment. It comes with two non-stick, dishwasher-safe 4.75-litre drawers and crisper plates to make the clean-up as breezy as the cooking process. With an impressive 4.8 out of five-star rating from a massive 38,960 Amazon reviews, the Ninja Foodi MAX has won over users, one of whom exclaimed: "The best thing about this product is that it pays for itself through energy savings." Another customer couldn't contain their excitement: "This air fryer is very good! I'd heard great things about Ninja products and this one totally lives up to the hype. It's nice to be able to cook two things at once with different settings. It's so convenient, cooks food way faster than my oven." "The product arrived promptly and in great condition. I use this every day. It is so easy to navigate and easy to clean. Food comes out tasty, especially the veggies," wrote another thrilled buyer. However, some customers haven't been completely impressed with the air fryer. One dissatisfied consumer reported: "It's not much bigger than the 300 but has better capacity, so it's useful for larger families. However, the controls are hard to see and use." Nevertheless, there's a whole host of other air fryers vying for attention on the market, including more pocket-friendly versions with solid reputations. Debenhams offers a bargain with the Geepas 9.2L Air Fryer that has five-in-one functions for a tempting £52.58. The device comes with an easy-to-use interactive touchscreen, nine established cooking programs, and a spacious 9.2L non-stick container. For those who fancy a less expensive Ninja alternative, the Ninja Foodi Dual Zone Air Fryer could be the way to go. Sold directly by Ninja and on sale at £149, this variant features six distinct cooking modes, separate cooking compartments, a roomy 7.6L size, and claims energy savings on your oven bills by up to 75% (as determined by Ninja's own independent research).

Review: 70mai Dash Cam 4K Omni has eyes everywhere

Review: 70mai Dash Cam 4K Omni has eyes everywhere Camera can monitor all angles, capturing incidents from the sides or rear 70mai Dash Cam 4K Omni The dashcam market is a pretty crowded one so it takes something innovative and special to stand out. And the 70mai Dash Cam 4K Omni certainy does that - mostly for the good, a little for the bad. An upgraded version of 70mai's unique 360deg dashcam., the 4k Omni's video quality has been upped thanks to a new Sony Starvis 2 IMX678 sensor, which gives crisp 4K footage at up to 60fps and clear views in all lighting conditions. The dual-channel setup includes a rear camera capturing 1080p video at 30fps, providing comprehensive coverage of your car's surroundings. So far, so good, but what really sets it apart is the 360degs bit. This means the camera can monitor all angles, so very useful for capturing incidents from the sides or rear, areas often missed by traditional dashcams. The AI Motion Detection 2.0 system makes the most of this ability by automatically tracking and recording movement around the vehicle. Due to its all-round feature the main unit does look a little unusual as it hangs down from your windscreen. If you're in a large car it's not an issue but the bulbous body can look a little incongruous in a smaller one. Installation is pretty straightforward, although I'm not brave enough to push the cables into the panels. I've always wanted a dashcam professionaly fitted but have found that most installers will only install dashcams you have purchased from them, which is rather annoying. The rear camera is far smaller as you would expect and a more standard design. Finding the perfect spot can be tricky, but this is no different to any other dashcam. The rest of the setup is via the 70mai app, where you can access and manage recordings, plus view live footage and download videos from your phone via wifi. I'd describe the app as 'good enough' with scope for improvement. Some users have complained about a flaky connection, but I didn't run into any troubles on that front. 70mai Dash Cam 4K Omni Once on the road, everything ran smoothly. I found the 360deg coverage genuinely reassuring, while 70mai's Night Owl Vision did make a big difference after the sun goes down (especially when it came to reducing glare from oncoming vehicles). Another plus is the 4K Omni can offer 24-hour smart parking surveillance, app alerts, a 'find my car' feature, and real-time tracking, if paired with a 4G kit. What you do get as standard is a 128GB SD card for video storage, plenty for endless recording, and a voice control feature with commands such as 'take a photo', as well as lane departure warnings and collision detection alerts. The standard 4k Omni is available for £299.99 via Amazon with the hardwire 4G kit an optional extra. What users say "Been using this dash cam for a couple of weeks now and really rate it. The 360° rotating lens is proper useful – covers the front, sides, and even inside the car if needed. The 4K front and 1080p rear footage is sharp, even at night. Number plates are clear and there's no weird glare from headlights." "I fitted this kit with 4G hardwire kit and I need to say, that it is great! Night video or picture quality is great! You can check your car remotely inside and outside thanks to 360 head - great ides btw. Really good piece of kit!" Alternatives Article continues below HUPEJOS 360° 4K Dash Cam BOTSLAB 4K Dash

Amazon's bestselling strimmer hits sale for less than £30

Time to get those gardens ship shape It's officially summer, and it's the time of year again when gardens need a bit of a freshen-up. Perhaps it's time to cut the grass for a garden party, strim off some overgrown weeds, or tackle any mess in outdoor spaces just in time for BBQ season. Long gone are the days of dragging a corded strimmer around and being limited to how far the equipment can be used. Cordless strimmers are on the rise as more people want tidying their gardens to be an enjoyable, easy experience rather than a heavy-duty chore. Now, shoppers can grab the 21V Cordless Strimmer, Telescopic Lightweight Grass Trimmer from Amazon for £29.72, down from £37.82. This electric strimmer has two six-inch metal circular blades that can cut branches and hard brushes, while ten other six-inch metal blades can cut weed piles and thicker grass areas. It is also equipped with an adjustable telescopic rod that can be adjusted between 33 and 47.2 inches to the appropriate length according to different environments. The lightweight 2.5kg strimmer also has an adjustable cutting head for different angles of use, and anti-collision iron bars to ensure shoppers don't worry about the strimmer getting damaged if it touches anything hard or concrete. The strimmer is equipped with an upgraded 1500mAh lithium battery, which can be used for one hour, meaning shoppers can hopefully get everything done in one go. It comes with a number of additional accessories including two lithium batteries, one quick charger, one wrench, one set of gloves, goggles and a handle, one grass guard, one pressure plate screw, a retractable tube interface and one gasket. If this strimmer isn't for everyone, there are a number of alternatives to choose from, such as the VonHaus 1000W 2 in 1 Grass Trimmer & Brush Cutter for £84.99 from Debenhams, which is said to be ideal for neatening edges around lawns, fences, decking and more. It's not cordless but has a long 10m cable for easy movement around the garden. Another option is the Bosch EasyGrassCut 26 280W Corded Grass trimmer for £35 from B&Q which is lightweight, powerful, strong and durable for lasting results. The Amazon strimmer has been rated 4.8 out of 5 stars on Amazon, however. One person said: 'Actually really good, very surprised by the quality and the lightness of it. Spare blades, easy to put together. Great value and excellent quality.' Another wrote: 'Excellent product. Easy assembly.' 'This strimmer is brilliant. I watched the video which was very easy to assemble. There are lots of different blades which made it easy for me to cut back tress scrubs and remove weeds and dandelions from my lawn. If I can do it, anyone can use this strimmer. It's not heavy. I am a pensioner and I did not struggle with it. I don't need a gardener anymore, very pleased and impressed with my purchase,' said another. Some left opposing reviews on the product, as one person said: 'Okay for the amount.' Another said: 'Excellent at the price for light use - but use with care.' For an affordable strimmer, the could be an ideal, quality buy.
