Katie Price reveals sad reality of Harvey's weight battle as he struggles with simple tasks
Katie Price has opened up about her son Harvey Price's health and she admits he is struggling with his weight - but she has vowed to help him through
Katie Price is "heartbroken" over Harvey Price's health battles as she gave fans an update. The reality star and former model has been open about her son's health and recently revealed he was close to being 30 stone.
Katie shares Harvey with her ex Dwight Yorke and her son, 22, has a rare genetic disorder called Prader-Willi syndrome, which causes symptoms such as slow growth and constant hunger. In a new update, Katie admitted Harvey's weight was "life-threatening".
"I'm so heartbroken and gutted that his weight is just going up. I just googled it in stones, 188kg is just a few kg of being 30 stone. It's so life-threatening now, I'm still waiting for the doctors to get back to me starting on the mounjaro and his journey to a healthy life. It's so sad his quality of life at the moment where he's so big," she said.
"He just can't really do much. It's just another thing I have to deal with because he's at high risk of having a heart attack, he struggles to put his trainers or struggles to walk anywhere but I love him and I'm going to help him through this."
Katie had previously explained his health was really serious as she admitted they had turned to the doctors for support.
Speaking about his health, she had said: "It's really, really serious and life-changing for Harvey. He's at risk of a heart attack and because of his condition, he's not getting any smaller. He's putting on weight. It doesn't matter what we do.
"He can't put his shoes on without sweating. He can't walk far because he gets out of breath. It's because of all the weight. So the doctors are doing it to give him a better, longer life, and for his health."
Katie described his Prader-Will syndrome as "cruel" and admitted it can be "hard work".
She said: "It's a cruel and horrible illness where he feels hungry all the time - and if he doesn't get food, he gets angry. It's hard work. He'll smash things up if you say no. I've had to re-plaster my walls because he'll bash holes in them with his head."
Katie recently took Harvey back to college, but admitted it was a feat to get him back there as he was upset about going.
She said: "It's always hard taking Harvey back to college," as she says: "Harvey's upset, aren't you Harv? It's okay." Talking to camera, she then added: "Now that was very difficult, it was really upsetting. Harvey just did not want to go back to college ...
"I'm surprised I've still got a car left, he was literally gonna go for the car. It is so sad when your son just doesn't wanna go to college and just wants to be with you all the time. That's why I can't wait for him to come home near us but the place we have got for him is not ready yet - maybe in May. So yeah, it is heartbreaking."

Gardeners told easy way to get bigger and better hydrangeas with kitchen scrap
Hydrangeas are one of the most popular summer flowers in the UK, and now there is an easy way to get bigger and more abundant blooms without spending a penny at all Hydrangea flowers truly dazzle in the summertime, and there's a simple trick to achieve even more spectacular and plentiful blooms without spending a penny. Gardening expert Katie Femia, founder of The Homespun Hydrangea, has explained that orange peels can be transformed into a homemade fertiliser - giving acid-loving plants like hydrangeas a significant boost. She explained: "Orange peels will help feed the soil and create a healthy foundation for your plants. Plus, orange peels are great for your budget since they offer you FREE food." Packed with nutrients beneficial to hydrangeas such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, orange peels can aid in cultivating larger and more robust blooms. Hydrangeas have a preference for slightly acidic soil conditions to flourish, and orange peels not only enhance soil quality but can also affect the hue of the blossoms, turning them an exceptionally vivid blue. Yet, perhaps one of the greatest advantages of using orange peels as fertiliser during the summer months is their strong scent, which can deter a variety of pests with highly sensitive noses. Oranges have long been recognised as a natural and harmless deterrent against garden invaders like aphids, ants, rodents, and even cats, , reports the Express. What you'll need: Start by collecting orange peels in a container or bowl, and once you've amassed a sufficient amount, give them a rinse to wash away any potential chemicals lingering on the peels. Place wax paper on a baking tray to keep the orange peels from adhering to the tray, then spread the peels out in a single layer without piling them up. Heat your oven to a low setting, such as 140C, pop the tray into the oven, and allow the orange peels to bake for approximately 90 to 120 minutes. Katie shared: "I like to check on the peels every 30 minutes to see how they are doing. This way you can see if they are ready to come out or need a little more time. Oh, and the house will start to smell really good during the drying process! In about two hours, you will have orange chips." Following the cooking process, it's time to transform the peels into an ultra-fine fertiliser. Pulverise them using either a food processor or the old-fashioned way by placing them in a sandwich bag and giving them a good pounding with a rolling pin. Once pulverised, transfer the peels into a sealable container and sprinkle the contents around your hydrangeas or bury them beside the plants. Katie added: "In no time, your soil will be soaking this stuff right up! It will enrich the soil and add to the acidity, making your plants thrive!"

Will Young gives rare update on his 'wonderful partner' as he talks about plans
Pop Idol winner Will Young has opened up about his private life after the popstar previously spoke about his desire to start a family and potentially foster children Will Young has opened up about his personal affairs and the blossoming hope of starting his own family someday. The inaugural Pop Idol champion, 46, has poured out details about his "wonderful partner" and the enriching life they're creating together. This heartfelt insight comes after he previously disclosed last year his aspirations to have a family and even venture into fostering children. In an interview The i, Will said that his heart had finally unfurled, attributing this change to overcoming the limelight's challenges that once complicated his love life, in part due to the relentless paparazzi pressure he said he used to experience, reports Devon Live. He explained: "I'm in a lovely relationship. I'm having a wonderful time with a wonderful partner. I had a closed heart, but it's opened up now. Why has my heart opened up?" "Meeting the right person. And making the choice to be open to someone. If you're waiting for that Hollywood moment, you might be waiting for the rest of your life, so you've got to make a choice that you want to be in a relationship. I was restricted by the mainstream music industry. "Being followed by the paparazzi used to be stressful, but it's just not a thing any more. Maybe it was quite exciting for partners of mine in the past or maybe not; I don't know, but I don't think it made dating more difficult." Last year Will shared with Attitude magazine his dream to father a family following the release of his album Light It Up. He told the publication: "I'm quite interested in fostering... I think I'd be very good at being emotionally available and emotionally validating." Reflecting on his dating life, Will shared that he, like many others, uses dating apps. He said: "It's a bit of a lottery. My last boyfriend was off an app. And the person I'm dating at the moment's off an app." Will has been open about his personal journey, including his battle with PTSD, and how gardening has become a therapeutic outlet for him. In an interview with the Telegraph, he said: "When I first went into treatment for PTSD, I had just begun work on one of my gardens. I think because I totally focused on that, it really helped me get better. "I've found that the simple act of putting my hands in the soil helps because it's grounding... it literally grounds me, it grounds my whole body.... I find one little job to focus on, it calms me down. It is meditative." On top of his musical endeavours, Will is set to feature in the 22nd series of the BBC 's ancestral exploration programme Who Do You Think You Are?, airing tonight (Tuesday, June 3) at 9pm on BBC One.

Kerry Katona and Katie Price make huge 'baby pact' to show they're not 'too old'
Best pals and mums of five, Kerry Katona and Katie Price, are reportedly hoping to become pregnant together after sharing their desire to have a sixth child Mums of five, Kerry Katona and Katie Price, have made a "pact" to become pregnant together, according to reports. The best pals have both expressed their desire for another child, with Kerry telling her followers: "I know I'm 44, but I think I want another baby". Katie, 46, who was pregnant with Kerry in 2007 with their respective daughters, Princess and Heidi, has also said she would like to become a mum again and now it looks like the women are determined to welcome a sixth child into the world, which they allegedly believe "would make a great reality show". Speaking about their family plans, a source told Closer magazine: "Both Katie and Kerry have said they want another child so they've made a pact to be pregnant together, saying it would make a great reality show. Both want to show they are not getting old and see babies as the ultimate age-defying statement." Kerry, who has been single since November when she split with personal trainer, Ryan Mahony, told her followers she was willing to have another baby on her own if necessary. Taking to Instagram, she said: "I know I'm 44, but I want another baby. Don't have a fella - but done it all before. Why change now?" In response to her post, many of Kerry's fans told her she should now focus on herself and think carefully about making such a huge decision as one replied: "NO you don't" while another added: "You're blessed with the children you have. Plus they're all growing up and you're glowing up." Also uncertain whether the former face of Iceland has really thought about the practicalities of having a another baby, the source said: "Pals think Kerry is in love with the idea of having another baby, not the practicality of actually becoming a mum. They think she should wait for a grandchild. "But Kerry says before anything else she's a mother, it's her greatest achievement by far and she could give a child so much more stability now." Katie, meanwhile, has been very vocal about having another baby and has explored both IVF and egg donation as a result. Speaking to Paul C Brunson on his We Need To Talk podcast, the mum-of-five revealed that she bought donor eggs last year before meeting current boyfriend JJ Slater 32. Opening up about her plans, Katie revealed she was optimistic about the future despite being unsuccessful with IVF, sharing: "I had IVF and it failed because basically my eggs are too old. "I gave it a go even though the doctors said you've got a 1 percent chance of that working, but I just said I might be that 1%. I'm doing it! I went through all of it and it didn't work. "So I have got donor eggs, I got them last year. You don't see the picture but they go on how I look, like the dark hair, the green eyes, Spanish... because I've got like Italian/Spanish in me." Saying she was happy to have a baby on her own before she met JJ, she also said she'd found a black sperm donor in the US, revealing: "And then because I'm not afraid to have a baby on my own, before I met JJ I was quite happy. I found a sperm donor from America, from black origin."
