The Final Challenge
As we learn in episode 7, the gang have been blackmailed by none other than Paul, Samia's ex boyfriend. Ever since they broke up, he's been bitterly angry and resentful, even leaving a hidden camera in Leo's room to spy on Samia, and hacking the gangs' phones.
After pitting the friends against one another and forcing them into a variety of games, designed to test their friendship and greed. Paul played both sides here, but Samia figures his game out when she discovers a notification on Paul's phone while over at his place of the cameras.
Is Victoire double-crossing the group?
Episode 8 of Young Millionaires begins with Paul cancelling the transfer of the funds as Samia leaves his place and re-joins the group. They mull over what to do next with Victoire, who eventually leaves and decides to reveal everything to Paul. She bemoans how the group are trying to cut her out of the deal, and had Tom follow her. She also outs to Paul that the gang know he's the blackmailer and are playing up to the camera for him. This is all about revenge for them and they want to take him down no matter what.
Paul explains here that he never intended to take the money for himself, he just wanted to torture them all and try to get Samia back for himself. Now that his secret is out, there's no way it's going to happen.
However, Victoire wants to try and sweeten the deal by suggesting that she take half the cash for herself. If not? Well, she warns that Samia will head over the following day, take the evidence from his computer and go straight to the police, thus busting him for cyber-harassment and extortion.
Victoire convinces him that our titular characters don't care about the money anymore and simply want to take him down, prompting his paranoia to skyrocket. Victoire continues to play him like a fiddle, suggesting that he head over to Panama personally and empty the accounts, packing all the cash into briefcases and hiding them somewhere.
Since Paul doesn't intend to jet off for Panama, Victoire offers an alternative. With her bank manager along for the ride, he drafts an agreement allowing them to launder the money into fake companies, and after considerable time has passed, they'd get back the money, which Paul and Victoire can split between them. Trusting all of this, Paul signs the document and they toast.
What happens at the Bar Mitvah?
Victoire continues, believing he should get his revenge by heading to David's Bar Mitsvah and exposing their scheme on a big screen for all to see. The gang are all at the party, ready to drop the bomb. Samia winds up alone with Paul here, and it's touch and go for a few minutes as it seems like he's going to push her off the edge while she's sitting on a balcony. However, Victoire interrupts and encourages him to come back to the party.
When he spots Leo and Samia kissing on the dancefloor, he heads to the stage, grabs the mic and shows the video… where we see that Victoire has double-crossed Paul and stitched him up completely. The video shows a simple animation with 'game over'.
What was the real plan here?
Victoire was working with the group all along, determined to take Paul down. They spied him burying the hard drive outside, and thus, switched it with a fake. The kiss between Samia and Leo was also staged to piss Paul off, but the pair realize that they have real feelings for each other, and no longer hold that back.
It's also revealed that the documents Paul signed weren't for 50% of the company, but actually for 50 individual shares. With Paul ruined, his flimsy excuses to Samia don't work, and he eventually slips away.
How does Young Millionaires end?
At the hospital the next day, the group head in to see Mr Pivot who's all recovered and out of his coma. He no longer wants a million though. After being struck by two cars, and being in a coma for three months, he wants 2 million euros.
The group manage to clear up their dilemma after all, agreeing to these terms (off-screen but it's fair to make that assumption!) while they all walk on the beach togehther.
Instead of recklessly spending, Jess suggests that they invest their money, while Samia and Leo touch hands. As the group walk up the beach, the episode comes to an end.
The Episode Review
So Young Millionaires comes to an eventful ending, one that wraps up all the big drama with Paul, the blackmailing game and the issues getting their money. For the most part, the series has done a good job in keeping this thread going, even if its done so in a rather contrived and forced manner.
The show hasn't been a bad watch, but it certainly could have been tightened up in places. There's been a bit of filler too, especially during the middle slew of episodes, and the comedy has been quite hit or miss as well.
We still don't get full confirmation of Samia and Leo together by the end, nor do we learn the truth about David's parents either. These two threads have been left open, potentially for a second season, while we do get the Paul situation wrapped up – but not entirely. He could easily come back and try to blackmail them again or make their life difficult.
However, it's good to see Mr Pivot at the end, in a nice touch, and the drama with the money is finally wrapped up too.
As a simple binge, Young Millionaires isn't a bad effort, and the ending has been one of the better episodes this season.

Gabby Logan and Kirsty Gallacher show off their youthful looks as they pose during Greek holiday together

They have been friends for more than a quarter of a century, having first got to know each other in their mid 20s. However, as these holiday snaps from their time relaxing in Greece this month show Gabby Logan and Kirsty Gallacher look as youthful as ever. The pair have been friends for 25 years and have been pictured together numerous times - often at glitzy bashes and red carpet events. In one photo, taken at the 2002 Elle Style Awards, Gallacher donned a sleeveless top with black trousers as she posed with Logan in a black top and leather skirt. However, fast forward to a photo from their recent holiday in Greece and it's clear that the pair's healthy lifestyle has paid dividends. The latest snap, which showed the pair posing in the sunshine in similar black dresses, was taken as they enjoyed a break with Logan's husband and children on the Greek island of Kefalonia. One of the snaps from the holiday showed the Logan family, including Gabby and her Scots rugby legend husband Kenny, their jockey daughter Lois, 20, and her twin brother Reuben, 20, who plays rugby for Sale Sharks and the Scotland national team. A video also captured the luxury property the group stayed at, which benefitted from a private pool and a view out over the Ionian Sea. One friend even commented on Logan's seemingly timeless appearance next to the younger women in the group, writing: 'You look [like] the older sister.' The family trip comes after Logan's daughter Lois made her debut as a jockey. The 20-year-old rode at Goodwood in the Markel Magnolia Cup and although she did not place with Spirit of Ecstasy, she said she was itching for more. 'It was over so quickly and such a thrill,' she said. 'The horse was incredible and put up such a fight. We finished in midfield, which was not a bad result. 'I have got more of an edge for winning now and am not so scared of speed. It was really good fun.' Her sports broadcaster and former gymnast mother, who co-hosts Match of the Day, said Lois had put her heart and soul into the training and confessed: 'It's harder to watch than rugby ... It is over so quick and like being a sprinter.' But she said: 'All those 4.40am starts and the months of physical training have been worth it.' The invitation-only Magnolia Cup sees riders from the world of business, sport, fashion and media take part to raise money for charity. Lois, whose twin brother Reuben has followed in their ex-Scotland international father's footsteps to rugby, said they had both been encouraged by their parents to participate in sports - but had worked hard and 'never had anything handed' to them. Lois, a student at Loughborough University, won two classes at the 2021 British Showjumping National Championships and qualified for the Horse of the Year Show. But she told the Telegraph she had never even sat on a race horse before this year - with her mother warning that fitting in training with her studies was going to be a challenge.

Brittany Mahomes sends Taylor Swift a message over viral quote from Travis Kelce podcast appearance

Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes' at times rocky friendship appears stronger than ever after the singer's New Heights podcast appearance this week. This time last year, the brand new besties appeared to suddenly be at odds after Mahomes endorsed Donald Trump in the upcoming election while Swift, who has a long-running feud with Trump, backed Kamala Harris. But earlier this week, as excitement reached fever pitch about Swift joining Travis and Jason Kelce on New Heights, Patrick Mahomes revealed the singer facetimed his wife after finishing recording the show. And her appearance clearly went down well with Brittany, who shared on Instagram what has become a viral quote from Swift when she said on the show: 'Think of your energy as if it's expensive, as if it's a luxury item. 'Not everyone can afford it. Not everyone has invested in you in order to be able for you have the capital to care about this.' Mahomes reposted the clip on Friday morning and wrote, with three applauding emojis: 'That. Is. The. Day.' Wise words from Taylor — New Heights (@newheightshow) August 15, 2025 Swift also announced her new album on the podcast, with he 12th record 'The Life of a Showgirl' released October 3. Three-time Super Bowl winnner Patrick revealed Wednesday he had an early heads-up that Swift was finally appearing on the show, telling reporters at practice: I knew before y'all did just because they called me after the podcast was done.' He jokingly corrected himself, adding: 'They didn't call me, they called Brittany. I was in the back of the FaceTime.' Soon enough, Mahomes and Swift will be reunited at Arrowhead Stadium once the Kansas City Chiefs start the new NFL season. The Chiefs play their first game in Sao Paulo, Brazil against the Los Angeles Chargers on Friday, September 5. In Week 2, it's a Super Bowl rematch against the Philadelphia Eagles at Arrowhead in what is a difficult start for Kelce and Mahomes. They also meet Baltimore Ravens, Detroit Lions, Washington Commanders and Buffalo Bills by November 2. Earlier this week, Chiefs quarterback Patrick made some eye-opening quotes about Brittany giving birth to their third child, Golden Raye, back in January. 'Brittany crushed it. I was watching playoff games the entire day. She went to labor after one game,' Patrick Mahomes recalled in a clip of 'The Kingdom' which aired on the latest episode of 'Good Morning America.' 'Baby was here before the next game, so I didn't even miss a playoff game. So, she is as locked in as I am as far as football goes.'

Emmanuel Macron decries ‘antisemitic hatred' after memorial tree cut down

The felling of an olive tree planted in memory of a young French Jewish man tortured to death in 2006 caused outrage in France on Friday, with Emmanuel Macron promising to punish an act of 'antisemitic hatred'. Politicians across the political spectrum condemned the act as an attack against the memory of Ilan Halimi, who was kidnapped by a gang of around 20 youths in January 2006 and tortured on a low-income housing estate in the southern Paris suburb of Bagneux. Found three weeks later, the 23-year-old died on the way to hospital. An olive tree planted in Halimi's memory in the northern Paris suburb of Épinay-sur-Seine in 2011 was cut down on Wednesday night, probably with a chainsaw. The incident stoked fresh concerns about an increase in antisemitic acts and hate crimes in France as international tensions mount over Gaza. 'Every effort will be made to punish this act of hatred,' Macron wrote on X, adding that France's fight against antisemitism would be uncompromising. 'The nation will not forget this son of France who died because he was Jewish,' Macron wrote. The French prime minister, François Bayrou, called the tree 'a living bulwark against oblivion'. 'The never-ending fight against the deadly poison of hatred is our primary duty,' he said. Officials promised to plant a new memorial tree as soon as possible. Members of France's Jewish community, one of the largest in the world, say antisemitic acts have surged since Israel launched it bombardment and subsequent aid blockade of the Gaza Stripin response to Hamas's 7 October 2023 incursion. Halimi's murder struck horror into the country's Jewish community and stirred debate about antisemitism in France. Police at the time initially refused to consider the murder a hate crime, and tens of thousands of people protested to demand justice. The president of the Representative Council of Jewish Institutions in France, Yonathan Arfi, said on Friday that the felling of the tree was extremely painful. Sign up to This is Europe The most pressing stories and debates for Europeans – from identity to economics to the environment after newsletter promotion 'There is nothing more cowardly, and those who have murdered his memory are no better than those who took his life 20 years ago,' he said. 'This is not just another antisemitic act, it is a way for antisemites to shout that they are here more than ever.' The mayor of Épinay-sur-Seine, Hervé Chevreau, filed a criminal complaint. The Paris police chief, Laurent Nuñez, condemned what he called a despicable act and said an investigation had been launched. Halimi was lured by a 17-year-old girl to a housing estate basement, where he was attacked and subdued with ether. Held prisoner for ransom, he was tortured for 24 days before he was found naked, bound and gagged on 13 February 2006. Youssouf Fofana, the head of the gang called the Barbarians, was sentenced to life in prison for Halimi's murder. The son of Ivorian immigrants, he had recruited followers among youths from Paris's bleak immigrant suburbs. Two other trees planted in memory of Halimi were vandalised and sawn down in 2019 in the southern suburb of Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois, where Halimi was found dying near a railway track. Reported antisemitic acts in France surged from 436 in 2022 to 1,676 in 2023, before dipping to 1,570 last year, according to the interior ministry.
