Vikings have history on their 2025 schedule
The NFL announced its international schedule on Tuesday, showing that games will take place in Brazil, the United Kingdom, Germany, Ireland and Spain this season.
The Vikings will be the first NFL team to compete overseas in back-to-back weeks. Minnesota will faceoff against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Croke Park in Dublin on Sept. 28. The game will be seen on 9:30 a.m. ET and broadcast on NFL Network.
"Playing in Ireland's first-ever NFL game is an opportunity to introduce new fans to the Minnesota Vikings and help the league continue to make the game of football more accessible globally," Vikings team owner Mark Wilf said in a news release. "To do so against a storied franchise like the Pittsburgh Steelers adds a unique challenge that makes this even more special.
"We are honored to be selected for this historic game and will be anxious to see what promises to be an electric game day environment in Croke Park."
The following week, the Vikings will go up against the Cleveland Browns. The game will start at 9:30 a.m. ET as well and take place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
"Our experiences in London have always been memorable, so to return in 2025 as the first team to play in back-to-back international games in different countries was something we could not pass up," Wilf added. "UK fans have a history of showing up and embracing the Minnesota Vikings, creating what often feels like a homefield environment, and we are hopeful that is what we see again in 2025."
Minnesota first played Pittsburgh overseas in 2012. It was the first season the NFL had multiple games in London. The team played the Browns in London in 2017 and returned to play the New Orleans Saints in 2022.
Last season, the Vikings defeated the New York Jets at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Ashton Jeanty had little production in a brief outing in his first NFL preseason game. Jeanty looked better in his second game, but also had a welcome to the NFL moment. For those who have fantasy drafts coming up in the next couple weeks, seeing Jeanty suffer an injury was some alarming news. The good news was that Jeanty came out of the medical tent with his helmet and uniform on, and was back on the field on the next drive. And on his next drive he ran over a defender on a nice run. Jeanty looked fast and explosive. He also ran hard and initiated contact. He showed off his power on a touchdown run, keeping his legs moving at the goal line until he was in the end zone. That will be the first touchdown of many for him in a Raiders uniform. Jeanty was the sixth pick of the draft and one of the best running back prospects in many years. Seeing him go to the medical tent caused some skipped heartbeats, but he looked healthy. And for a few carries, looked every bit as good as advertised.

Fabrizio Romano has essentially confirmed that one Premier League star will join Liverpool. It seems this one is going to happen. Liverpool have been busier than anyone in this transfer window as they've overhauled their squad. There's potential for a cut-price deal there as the centre-back is now in the final year of his contract at Crystal Palace. Chairman Steve Parish has publicly admitted they'll try to sell, too. It's all about finding the right price. But Fabrizio Romano claims that even if Liverpool don't find that price, Guehi will ultimately land at Anfield. It might just need to wait a year. "On Liverpool, I insist they are still working for Marc Guehi," Romano said on YouTube. "There's still a conversation ongoing with Crystal Palace, still a conversation ongoing with the player side because the agreement with the player is okay, from what I'm hearing. "Still waiting to see what happens club to club. But Marc Guehi wants to go to Liverpool. If it's not now, it's going to be in the future." It seems we're either seeing Guehi arrive at Liverpool in the next two weeks or we're seeing it next summer, then. Romano certainly believes so. We imagine a lot of it might hinge on what Real Madrid plan to do with Ibrahima Konate. He's also out of contract in a year and Los Blancos want to sign him. Maybe they'll wait, but maybe they'll try a late push. Guehi would certainly be an ideal replacement.

Zach Wilson and Quinn Ewers lead Dolphins to 24-17 preseason win over Lions
DETROIT (AP) — Backup quarterback Zach Wilson had a strong first half for the Dolphins and third-stringer Quinn Ewers threw for two second-half touchdowns as Miami beat the Detroit Lions 24-17 in the preseason on Saturday. The teams had a pair of joint practices earlier in the week. Both teams' starters participated in those workouts, but Saturday's game was all about the reserves who are trying to earn roster spots. Wilson, the Dolphins' No. 2 QB behind Tua Tagovailoa, completed 15 of 23 passes for 151 yards and a touchdown. Ewers went 11 of 17 for 116 yards. The Lions also took a long look at their second- and third-string quarterbacks with Jared Goff on the sideline. Kyle Allen impressed in the first half, going 14 for 17 with 124 yards and two scores. Hendon Hooker struggled in the final two quarters, completing 6 of 13 throws for 61 yards and an interception. Ollie Gordon II had 50 yards rushing for the Lions on 10 carries. Jacob Saylor had 13 carries for 39 yards. The Dolphins took a 7-0 lead on Wilson's 11-yard pass to Dee Eskridge late in the first quarter. Detroit tied the game midway through the second on Allen's 11-yard pass to Jackson Meeks. The Lions drove to the Miami 13 in the last 30 seconds, but Ethan Robinson intercepted Hooker's pass with 22 seconds left.
