Kenshiro Teraji vs. Ricardo Sandoval live results, round-by-round updates, ring walks, start time for unified title fight
Teraji (25-1, 16 KOs) is a two-division unified champion. He first won a world title when he defeated Ganigan Lopez in May 2017. "The Amazing Boy" managed eight successful defenses before losing his strap to Masamichi Yabuki in 2021. Teraji subsequently defeated Yabuki in an immediate rematch the following year and then added the WBA title to his collection with a dominant performance over Hiroto Kyoguchi.
Teraji moved up to flyweight in October 2024, defeating Cristofer Rosales for WBC honors. He became a double championship in a second weight class after coming from behind on the scorecards to take out Seigo Yuri Akui in the 12th round of a thrilling fight that was recognized, alongside Isaac Cruz vs. Angel Fierro, as the Fight of the Half-Year for Uncrowned's mid-year boxing awards.
Sandoval (26-2, 18 KOs) has won six fights in a row since landing on the wrong end of a stunning upset at the hands of David Jiménez in their July 2022 WBA title eliminator. Promoted by Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy, Sandoval is the No. 2 contender with the WBC and the No. 3 contender with the WBA.
In the night's co-feature, the United States' Antonio Vargas (19-1, 11 KOs), who recently signed with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing, makes the first defense of his WBA bantamweight championship against former WBC flyweight champion Daigo Higa (21-3-2, 19 KOs).
Opening the championship triple-header, the Dominican Republic's Erick Rosa (8-0, 2 KOs) puts his WBA light flyweight belt on the line against the No. 1 contender, Japan's Kyosuke Takami (9-0, 7 KOs)
The Teraji vs. Sandoval main card starts at 5:50 a.m. ET on DAZN, with main event ring walks expected around 8 a.m. ET.

Manny Pacquiao Fight Result: Boxing's Historic Bid Falls Short In Controversial Decision
Manny Pacquiao Fight Result: Boxing's Historic Bid Falls Short In Controversial Decision originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Pacquiao narrowly missed the chance to break his own record as the oldest welterweight champion in history, a feat he first achieved in 2019 at age 40 by defeating Keith Thurman. A win would have extended that milestone to 46, placing him alongside George Foreman and Bernard Hopkins as the only fighters to win world titles at such an advanced age. The Filipino icon also came agonizingly close to becoming the first boxer to win a major world title after being inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame, a distinction that would have further cemented his legacy. After the result, Pacquiao said in his in-ring interview, "I thought I won the fight. I mean, it was a close fight." Despite the draw, Pacquiao defied expectations with a spirited performance, silencing critics who questioned his ability to compete after such a long layoff. He started strong, landing sharp combinations in the middle to late rounds. The crowd, heavily biased in Pacquiao's favor, erupted with every flurry, but Barrios' size and youth gradually became factors as the fight progressed. The champion's reach and disciplined jab disrupted Pacquiao's rhythm in the early rounds, and sharp combinations in the final rounds swayed the judges. Despite having success, Barrios was timid in approaching Pacquiao throughout the fight. 'It was crazy. His stamina. He could still crack,' Barrios admitted. 'He's still strong as hell.' Pacquiao's higher punch output and crowd-pleasing aggression contrasted with Barrios' more measured, technical approach. Pacquiao's return was fueled by a desire to make history and reclaim the glory of his prime years. Earlier in June, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame, a testament to a career that includes 12 world titles across eight weight classes, a record unmatched in boxing history. Manny Pacquiao Pulls Off What No One Expected Despite Age and Draw Result
Manny Pacquiao Pulls Off What No One Expected Despite Age and Draw Result originally appeared on Athlon Sports. At 46 years old, Manny Pacquiao has once again proven that his legacy in boxing is far from over. This past month, he made his highly anticipated comeback to the ring and fought to a majority draw against WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios. Now, the Filipino icon was recently entered into Ring Magazine's latest welterweight rankings, coming in listed at no. 9 in the division. The ranking is a significant milestone for Pacquiao, who returned to the ring after a four-year hiatus and nearly dethroned a champion 16 years younger than him. His performance, which had flashes of his vintage speed and precision, convinced Ring Magazine that he still belongs among the elite at 147 pounds, and was impressive enough to earn recognition despite the draw result. Shortly after his bout, Pacquiao believed he won the fight, telling BoxingScene, 'For the 11th and 12th [rounds], I'm okay with them giving those to Barrios because, in my mind, I was thinking, 'Even if they give him these two rounds, I did enough in the others [to win].'' 'PacMan' still took the loss with dignity, saying, 'I was surprised by the decision. But I am in sports. The first thing you learn in sports is sportsmanship.' Barrios, who retained his WBC title, is ranked just one place above Pacquiao at no. 8 in Ring Magazine's rankings. A rematch between him and Pacquiao remains a strong possibility, especially now that Pacquiao has regained his foothold in the rankings. Even in the post-retirement comeback arc of his career, Pacquiao has already defied expectations by proving he can still at least compete at the highest level. Knibbs move leaves Reading boss Hunt frustrated
Reading head coach Noel Hunt says he was frustrated by the nature of Harvey Knibbs' move to Charlton Athletic. The goalscoring midfielder moved to the Championship club on Friday - just a day before the start of their League One season. Knibbs had been linked with a move away from the Royals after an impressive 16-goal campaign in 2024-25, but Hunt says the timing was difficult for his side. Reading lost their opening league game 2-0 at Lincoln City on Saturday. "It was like Christmas tree lights, wasn't it? It was on, it was off, it was on, it was off," Hunt told BBC Radio Berkshire. "We were just as frustrated because we were told it was off, he comes in and then 24 hours later they've managed to do something and it was on. "Harvey came and expressed his wishes, said his goodbyes and that was that. "He was a very good player for us. He came here on a free from Cambridge, he had two fantastic seasons and if we're being honest you can't begrudge him the move. "He deserves a shot at the next level so we wish him all the best."
