Hamas: Israeli aggression against Iran dangerous development
Doha - Saba: Hamas has condemned the large-scale aggression launched by the Israeli enemy entity at dawn on Friday against Iran, stressing that this aggression constitutes a dangerous escalation that threatens to explode the region and reflects the insistence of the extremist Netanyahu government on dragging the region into open confrontations in service of its Talmudic delusions and its efforts to dominate the peoples of the nation. Hamas said in a press statement on Friday that this brutal aggression constitutes a flagrant violation of international norms and conventions and reaffirms that the Israeli project poses an existential threat to the entire region, not just Palestine, and targets all those who refuse to submit and insist on supporting the causes of the nation, foremost among them the Palestinian cause. Hamas expressed its full solidarity with Iran, offering its condolences to the Iranian leadership and people for the martyrdom of several senior commanders, most notably Major General Hossein Salami, Commander of the Revolutionary Guards; Lieutenant General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Army; and a number of nuclear scientists. It noted that Iran is today paying the price for its steadfast positions in support of Palestine and its resistance, and for its adherence to its independent national decision. This calls for a unified stance from the nation and its vital forces in the face of this dangerous aggression. It emphasized that the Israeli entity is the nation's central enemy, and the battle against it is a battle of destiny that requires unity of ranks and integrated efforts to protect our peoples from its crimes and expansionist plans. IRGC mourns commander Major General Hossein Salami
Tehran - Saba: Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) mourned in a statement on Friday its commander, Major General Hossein Salami, who was martyred in the Zionist aggression against Iran, stressing its readiness to respond firmly and forcefully to the Zionist enemy's aggression. The statement marking the unjust martyrdom of the commander-in-chief of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Major General Hossein Salami, and a group of Guard Corps members, according to the Iranian news agency IRNA, read: "With hearts filled with sorrow and grief, we mourn the unjust martyrdom of the loyal and steadfast commander, Major General Hossein Salami, the commander-in-chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, along with a number of his guards and colleagues, in the criminal and terrorist attack on the IRGC headquarters this morning by the child-murdering Zionist entity, while they were performing a sensitive mission to protect the security of the homeland and the country." The statement continued: "There is no doubt that Major General Salami was one of the most prominent leaders of the Islamic Revolution and a man of scientific, cultural, security, and military jihad. He was present in all fields with a sincere, wise, and sovereign spirit on the front lines defending the principles of the revolution and the people." The statement added: "Despite this brutal crime, the noble and revolutionary Muslim Iranian people, while emphasizing the preservation of public security, are reassured that the leadership of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, with all its strength and experience, along with other armed forces and the faithful mujahideen of the Islamic nation, is prepared to respond firmly and forcefully to the aggression of the Zionist enemy." The statement noted that "the necessary measures to combat crimes and prevent the occurrence of such incidents and events have been considered and prepared for a long time, and the heroic and understanding Iranian people will be informed of the details of the enemy's criminal operations and the countermeasures against them." It is worth noting that a number of Iranian military commanders, scholars, and civilians have been martyred as a result of the brutal attacks launched by the Zionist regime on Tehran and a number of Iranian cities. Following this heinous crime, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution issued a statement saying: "O great people of Iran, the filthy and bloody hand of the Zionist regime committed a crime in our beloved country this morning, revealing its evil nature more than ever by striking residential areas. Let the regime await severe punishment." Whatsapp Telegram Email Print

Swedish FM: Israel committing war crime by starving civilians in Gaza
Stockholm – Saba: Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergaard said on Thursday that Israel's use of starvation as a method of warfare against civilians is prohibited and a flagrant violation of international law. During a press conference, Stenergaard added that depriving civilians of food, water, and medicine constitutes a war crime under international law, stressing the urgent need to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. She emphasized that "the situation in Gaza is catastrophic, and it is essential that food, water, and medicine quickly reach the severely affected civilians, most of whom are women and children, who are currently living in completely inhumane conditions." Stenergaard noted that "life-saving humanitarian aid must not be subject to political bargaining or used for military purposes." Last month, Sweden summoned the Israeli ambassador to protest the lack of humanitarian aid for civilians in the Gaza Strip. It is worth noting that the Kingdom of Sweden officially recognized the State of Palestine on October 30, 2014. With American and European support, the Israeli enemy army has continued to commit genocidal crimes in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, resulting in the deaths of 55,207 Palestinian citizens, the majority of whom were children and women, and the injury of 127,821 others. This is a preliminary toll, with thousands of victims still buried under the rubble and on the streets, unable to be reached by ambulances and rescue crews. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print
