45-year-old man struck and killed by hit-and-run driver in Long Beach
A 45-year-old pedestrian was killed when he was hit by two cars in Long Beach on Tuesday night, one of which fled the scene.
It happened at around 11 p.m. near Seventh Street and Channel Drive, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
They say that the man, identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner as Jeffrey Krajeski, was walking across the street when he was hit by a 2024 Hyundai IONIQ 5 traveling eastbound on Seventh towards West Campus Drive, police said.
That driver immediately pulled over to help the victim.
"While stopped, the driver observed a black truck drive over the pedestrian she had just struck," LBPD said in a statement. That driver did not stop, instead fleeing the area.
Paramedics with the Long Beach Fire Department declared Krajeski dead at the scene.
Investigators have not yet declared if the first or second impact killed the victim. They also have not determined if speed, distracted or impaired driving were factors in the collision.

Local perspective Tito Rodriguez, better known as "The Hood Santa" and Executive Director of the Local Hearts Foundation, has been speaking out on Victor's behalf and calling for justice. "Well, the truth is I just want there to be justice," Victor added. "He's out there trying to make an honest living, trying to, you know, do what he can to survive. And somebody try to rob him and basically almost killed him. This guy needs to get caught. This guy is a danger to the community," Rodriguez said. What's next Rodriguez and other community members are urging anyone with information to come forward to help identify the attacker and bring them to justice. The Long Beach Police Department is investigating the case and say they have video of the suspect attacking Victor. A GoFundMe has been created to help cover medical expenses. City on Long Island closes beaches due to school cutting rumors

Father dies in tragic accident while teaching teen daughter to drive
A 64-year-old California man was killed while teaching his teen daughter to drive, the Laguna Beach Police Department (LBPD) confirmed to Fox News Digital on Wednesday.
