'Kaanta Laga' girl Shefali Jariwala breathed her last on June 27. As her fans are mourning the untimely demise of the actress-dancer, pictures from her first marriage to musician Harmeet Singh have gone viral on Instagram. The photos were shared by an Instagram pop culture handle called Celebrity Shala. In the photos, the actress was seen draped in traditional attire consisting of a pink kurta and jeans. She also covered her head with a dupatta. She was also spotted flaunting sindoor on her head and maroon-colored 'chuda' or bangles on her wrists. As per a Bollywood Shaadis report, the actress was visiting her in-laws in Gwalior back then.Shefali Jariwala's separation from her former husband, Harmeet Singh, was far from peaceful. Their relationship ended on a troubling note, with serious allegations made by Shefali that highlighted the darker side of their time together. As per police records, she lodged an official complaint at Oshiwara Police Station in Mumbai, accusing Harmeet of subjecting her to both emotional and physical distress. She also alleged that he had withdrawn around Rs 12 lakh from their shared bank account without seeking her permission, further adding to the betrayal she felt in the relationship.During a candid conversation with Times Now in 2021, Shefali delved deeper into the emotional turmoil she experienced during her first marriage. She emphasized that it is crucial to recognize when one is being undervalued in a relationship. According to her, not all abuse manifests in visible injuries—some wounds are internal, stemming from constant emotional neglect, manipulation, or mental distress. She believed this type of suffering can be just as damaging as physical harm, quietly eroding a person's peace of mind and sense of self-worth.Shefali's decision to walk away from her first marriage wasn't taken lightly. One of the key reasons she was able to take such a bold step was her financial independence . She explained that earning her own income gave her the strength and autonomy to make choices that were best for her well-being. She acknowledged that in Indian society, divorce still carries stigma and is often seen as a taboo. However, her upbringing taught her to value personal happiness over societal expectations. She credited her courage to the unwavering support she received from her family and her firm belief in doing what feels right, regardless of judgment from others. She also highlighted how economic freedom gave her the power to shape her own future. By not being financially dependent, she didn't have to stay trapped in an unhappy and unhealthy marriage. Her story underscores the importance of empowering oneself, emotionally and financially, especially in relationships that lack mutual respect or equality. After closing that difficult chapter, Shefali found love again and moved forward. She eventually married actor Parag Tyagi, known for his role in the television series 'Brahmarakshas'. Her journey from emotional trauma to personal empowerment serves as an inspiring example of resilience , strength, and the value of standing up for oneself, even when society makes it difficult.

Why Deepika Padukone will pay ₹73 lakh a year to maintain her Hollywood Walk of Fame star? All about the costly honour

Actor Deepika Padukone became the first woman from India to get a star on the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday. Deepika, who is known in the West for her appearance in XXX: The Return of Xander Cage, was among the new inductees at the Walk of Fame, unveiled in Hollywood on Wednesday evening. While many reports claimed that stars can 'buy' a spot on the Walk of Fame, the reality is that the inductees are selected by a selection panel each year. The celebs do have to shell out money after that, but only for the maintenance of their coveted spot. Deepika Padukone will be the first Indian woman to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Hollywood Walk of Fame is an iconic walkway on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles. It is lined with over 2700 stars on the ground, each dedicated to a celebrity. In short, anyone can be nominated, provided they are considered a celebrity. While there is no official criterion, the star on the Walk of Fame is considered a big honour. The general consensus is that 'has-beens' and 'where-are-they-nows' do not get a spot on the Walk of Fame. To get a star, you need to be one. The Walk of Fame Class of 2026 includes names like Emily Blunt, Timothee Chalamet, Marion Cotillard, Stanley Tucci, Rami Malek, Rachel McAdams, Demi Moore, Chris Columbus, Tony Scott, Greg Daniels, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Deepika Padukone. Who picks the inductees for the Hollywood Walk of Fame? The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, the official organisation that administers the Hollywood Walk of Fame, receives 200-300 nominations each year. A selection panel appointed by the organisation then selects a number of inductees each year. Each star honours artists from the worlds of film, television, music, radio, and live performance for their impact on popular culture. The induction and selection do not involve any fees or payment. It is a decision made by the selection panel of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. However, there is a sponsorship fee of $85000 (roughly ₹ 73 lakh) that the inductee needs to agree to pay. This annual fees is for the maintenance of the star. According to the official website of the Walk of Fame, "The fee is used to pay for the creation and installation of the star, as well as maintenance of the Walk of Fame." The price is subject to change.

‘Ed Sheeran peeche gir gaya': Arijit Singh lookalike's parody of ‘Sapphire' music video goes viral

Last month, British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran teamed up with Indian playback sensation Arijit Singh for a cross-cultural single titled Sapphire. Blending Western pop with Punjabi musical influences, the track has taken the Internet by storm, marking Sheeran's first collaboration with an Indian artist. Amid the song's growing popularity, fans and content creators have taken to social media with their own takes on the music video. One parody, in particular, has gone viral for its hilarious twist. The parody begins with the creator, who resembles Singh, lip-syncing the Punjabi verse while riding a bike alone. He continues solo through the chorus, with on-screen text humorously reading, 'Ed Sheeran peeche gir gaya' (Ed Sheeran fell off the bike). Shared on Instagram by user @commentrrr with the caption 'Urgent Singh'. The video has amassed over 208K views and 12.8K likes on Instagram, with users flooding the comment section with witty reactions. A post shared by Commentr (@commentrrr) Released on June 5, 2025, Sapphire is the third single from Sheeran's upcoming album Play under Gingerbread Man Records and Atlantic Records UK. The song debuted at number nine on the UK Singles Chart, becoming Sheeran's 43rd top-10 hit in his home country. Arijit Singh's vocals, though uncredited, have been widely praised and are central to the track's Indian-Punjabi theme. The official music video, directed by Liam Pethick, was shot across multiple Indian cities, including Hyderabad, Kolkata, Shillong, and Arijit's hometown, Murshidabad. The visuals capture Sheeran immersed in Indian street culture, riding auto-rickshaws, playing football with local children, and exploring bustling bazaars. Key locations include Sultan Bazar, Ramoji Film City, Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad, and Jawaharlal Nehru Football Stadium in Shillong. Singh appears throughout the video, including a charming scooter ride shared with Sheeran. The video also features a surprise cameo from Bollywood legend Shah Rukh Khan, who lip-syncs part of the chorus, adding to the video's massive appeal.
