It should be noted that Dhurandhar is based on true events. Rumours suggested that Ranveer Singh will be seen playing the role of Ajit Doval in this movie.
Ranveer Singh is currently working on his next movie, Dhurandhar. Recently, a photo of the actor from the sets of the film went viral on social media, but grabbed everyone's attention for all the wrong reasons. Netizens noticed that a Pakistani flag was clearly visible in the background.
While it remains unclear why a Pakistani flag was seen on the sets of Dhurandhar, the viral photo has already left many disappointed and angry. 'Pakistan ka flag kyu lagya? Who permitted for it? Shamefully act," one of the users wrote. 'Bollywood has lost it completely," added another.
It should be noted that Dhurandhar is based on true events. Even though details about the film's plot are not known as of now, rumours suggest that Singh will be seen playing the role of Ajit Doval. Reportedly, the film will present the bravery of India's special agents in Pakistan. Therefore, it might be because of this that a Pakistani flag was seen on the sets of the film.
Meanwhile, the makers of Dhurandhar released the film's first look teaser earlier this month. It presented Ranveer Singh in long hair and a smoke in his mouth, killing and beating in style. With upbeat music in the backdrop, the teaser offers a glimpse into the violence and gore in store. Apart from Ranveer, makers also dropped first looks of the film's other leading cast, comprising Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna. Arjun Rampal, who is one of the key characters in the film, looked intriguing in a never-seen-before rugged avatar, sporting a golden tooth, vintage metallic shades, dense grey beard and classic raw expressions. The film's leading leady, Tamil actor Sara Arjun, was also introduced.
Presented by Jio Studios, a B62 Studios production, Dhurandhar is written, directed, and produced by Aditya Dhar, along with Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar. The film uncovers the untold saga of the origins of the unknown men.
Dhurandhar will hit theatres on December 5, 2025.

Ahaan Panday has officially arrived in Bollywood, and he already has the loudest cheerleader in his cousin, Ananya Panday. The actress attended a special screening of Saiyaara at Yash Raj Studios on Friday, and her reaction said it all—she's a proud cousin and a newly minted fan. Taking to Instagram, Ananya shared a few heartfelt pictures from the evening. One showed her hugging Ahaan tightly, while another had her posing with an 'Ahaan Panday Fan Club" sticker stuck to her forehead. She captioned the post, 'A star is born ⭐️ my Saiyaara @ahaanpandayy (sic)." View this post on Instagram A post shared by Ananya 🌙 (@ananyapanday) The film marks the highly anticipated debut of Ahaan Panday, who is Chunky Panday's nephew. Directed by Mohit Suri, Saiyaara opened in theatres on July 18 and has taken a flying start at the box office. According to early estimates by Sacnilk, the romantic musical raked in Rs 20.50 crore on its opening day—making it the biggest Bollywood debut of all time. This record was previously held by Dhadak (2018), which marked the debut of Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter with an opening of Rs 8.71 crore. Even Student Of The Year (2012), which introduced Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Sidharth Malhotra, had opened at Rs 7.48 crore. With Saiyaara, Ahaan Panday has raised the bar for star kids entering the industry. The film revolves around Krish Kapoor, an aspiring singer, and Vaani Batra, a budding journalist. As their love blossoms, they find themselves up against numerous odds. Set to a soundtrack that's already winning hearts, the film blends romance, ambition, and emotional drama. While Saiyaara continues its successful theatrical run, it will eventually be released on Netflix. The OTT premiere date has not been confirmed yet. With massive box office numbers and solid family support, it looks like Ahaan Panday is off to a dream start in Bollywood. And if Ananya Panday's reaction is anything to go by, this star is only getting started. First Published: July 19, 2025, 00:10 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Why Sivakarthikeyan was perfect fit for Parasakthi? Sudha Kongara reacts to rumors of clashing with Vijay's Jana Nayagan

Sivakarthikeyan starrer Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara, is currently in production. As the movie is speculated to clash with the release of Thalapathy Vijay starrer Jana Nayagan, here's what the director has to say about it. What does Sudha Kongara have to say about the Jana Nayagan vs Parasakthi clash? Talking at an event for Galatta, Sudha Kongara said, 'There are reports of Pongal clash between both films, but I honestly don't know. Only the producer will decide when Parasakthi can release.' For those unaware, earlier there were reports that Thalapathy Vijay 's alleged final movie, Jana Nayagan, will clash with SK's Parasakthi. The makers of Jana Nayagan have confirmed that the film will be released on January 9, 2026. While an update on Parasakthi's official release date hasn't been made yet, it is speculated to be a Pongal release next year. Sivakarthikeyan and Ravi Mohan in Parasakthi Speaking at the same event, Sudha Kongara revealed why she chose Sivakarthikeyan as the lead, with Ravi Mohan playing the main antagonist. In her response, the Soorarai Pottru director said, 'Siva is definitely the right actor who suits the character. His boy next door looks, the honesty and sincerity he has in him, these qualities are similar to my hero's personality, which made him the perfect choice.' 'On the other hand, Ravi Mohan is in complete contrast to my character. It is a very different character, and every day working with him is difficult because he is a great person. Casting him goes against the grain,' she added. About Parasakthi Parasakthi is a Tamil-language political drama flick, directed by Sudha Kongara, who co-wrote it with Arjun Nadesan. The film is said to be based on the true story of the anti-Hindi agitations in Tamil Nadu that happened in 1965. With Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, the movie features an ensemble cast of actors like Ravi Mohan, Sreeleela, Atharvaa Murali, and many more in key roles. Interestingly, the movie was initially planned with Suriya in the lead role, titled Puranaanooru (Suriya43). The film was supposed to have Nazriya Nazim Fahadh, Dulquer Salmaan, and Vijay Verma in key roles, but the cinematic venture was shelved with Kongara reviving it with a new cast and production company.
