CONSIDERED (7) is a So You Think granddaughter of Kiss From A Rose which belies her $30,000 price-tag. Chalk her up as another bargain for Group One Thoroughbreds; she's already won back her purchase price in four starts. Last start winner, drawn well, at home. VISUALISE (6) has been rock solid in his four runs since he got to local trainer Jacob Perrett's stable. Beaten a lip at this track and trip by To Be Frank the other day.

RACE 6: Koobah Performance Horses (Bm82) 1600m
RAJNISH (5) has raced at Tamworth twice for a second and then that last start win which also happened to be over the mile. It was a very comprehensive victory too; he came from off the speed to chase down a very respectable bunch. WEALTHY INVESTOR (6) won his fourth race at start 41 out at Dubbo on June 29 but for one, he won very easily indeed and two, his poor win record is more a reflection of some of the strong races he has contested.

RACE 7: Kel Penfold Finance Country Boosted (Bm58) 1200m
SAINTLY SANDS (10) turned in a fantastic debut here when third to a nice style of horse in Savethebesttilast back on January 6. The Rodney Northam trained filly came back to Tamworth 17 days later and won her 1400m Maiden. Spelled, no public trials, but she is clearly handy filly in a top barn. DEEBO (1) boasts some outstanding figures right across the board but those home track, and trip, numbers are hard to go past.

RACE 8: Concrete Industry Supplies (Bm82) 1000m
ZAKOR (6) has always raced well at Tamworth from the day he broke his Maiden here way back as a two-year-old prior to his fourth in the Romantic Dream. The Justin Bowen-trained gelding tries his heart out every time, if he gets beaten it is usually either bad luck or he just wasn't quite good enough on the day. SPECK (8) resumes on a hat-trick, bearing in mind that the second of the sequence was a Randwick TAB Highway. WHO GOES HERE (3) is four from four at the track and trip.

RACE 5: Plus Fitness Thurgoona Mdn Plate 900m
LUNAR MOJO (1) has been awfully costly to follow but at the same time he has placed at six of his eight starts and four of them are seconds. On top of that he has two seconds and a third from four Albury runs and has twice placed second on Heavy It's now or never again. FITZALAN (6) led and was passed late on debut at Wangaratta, One would imagine that is the modus operandi again here from barrier 2. MACHETE (8) is trained here now and was good in her two Victorian runs.

RACE 6: Jindera Tyre Service Mdn Hcp 1400m
ELLIS BEACH (4) is having his first run for the new management. It will be his first run in NSW as well but he is fit for purpose on the score of a July 7 trial (ran second) at home at Wangaratta. Finds a winnable race. Not sold on the Heavy form of POWERFUL MAJIK (5) but he ran a good race here on debut. CAYMAN ISLAND (7) turned in his best career run when fourth to a handy horse at Wagga at $101.
Bet: Ellis Beach to win, Daily Double 1st Leg 4, 2nd Leg 6

RACE 7: Wello's Plumbing Plate (C1) 1600m
BLAZING SWORD (5) is a Bendigo-housed three-year-old who shares his name with Contract Racing's exceptional late 1980s colt who ended up as a stallion in Thailand. The 2021 model of Blazing Sword has a tidy little resume of one win, three seconds and a third in his 10 starts. Best of all, the son of Too Darn Hot has a win and a third on his only two Heavy runs. GOOFINATOR (10) sent out some rather positive signs second-up that a win was close at hand. FLUTTERBY (6) is flying.

RACE 8: Kiewa Valley Spring Water (Bm58) 1500m
JUST LIKE LIAM (6) is from the 17th and final crop of Albert Stapleford's beloved Magic Albert, a great little over-achiever at stud he was too. Anyway, Just Like Liam is trained here at Albury by Garry Worsnop; 11 times he has raced there for two wins and three placings. He has also won at the track and distance. FREDDY'S SHOCK (10) ran second to Sorry Sunshine on a Heavy 10 at Wagga last start. Both are clearly in the mix here. As is RUSHFORD (1) who was fifth in that same race.

A quick back-up and drop in distance paves the way for Stardeel to shine with an all-the-way win at Rosehill
Bjorn Baker's decision to back-up the 'strong-willed' Stardeel delivered the desired outcome at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday. Last week the Dundeel gelding was his own worst enemy at Randwick, never relaxing and failing to run on when unplaced for the first time of the campaign. Seven days later and it was a different version of Stardeel, sent straight to the front, and never giving his rivals a look in when leading throughout in the Congratulations Braith Nock 3&4YO Benchmark 72 Handicap (1200m). 'He was a real handful last week, he pulled my shoulders out from the moment I got on him but today he was a different horse,' jockey Josh Parr said. 'Genius decision by Bjorn to back him up, bring him back slightly in distance and it has paid dividends. 'We allowed him to do his thing today, he did it at both ends and that won't be his last win.' Stardeel ($3.40 eq fav) defeated Grand Prairie ($3.40 eq fav) by three lengths with a half-length back to Totoka ($9.50) in third. The win was Stardeel's second in five starts this preparation and Baker said the four-year-old is now off to the paddock with the hope the time off can fast track his mental development. 'He's still a bit of a galah but in time, he's going to develop into a pretty handy horse I think,' Baker said. 'As much as back-up Baker would like to take advantage of another wet track next week, he's done his job this prep. 'He's a big lean horse that will love getting into some spring grass. It will do his really well physically and hopefully mentally.' Baker is coming off his best ever training season, finishing second in the Sydney trainers' premiership with 90 city winners. 'It's always important to kick off the season with a winner and while it's not all about strike rate, we are currently at 100 per cent,' he said. â– â– â– â– â– Dubbo trainer Dar Lunn and his stable star Elson Boy were two that relished the terrible winter conditions at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday. 'I thought he was the first horse beat but he found another gear, picked himself up and was good to the line. 'It was a good win because he didn't get everything go his way. Last year Elson Boy finished ninth in The Kosciuszko and Lunn would be keen to gain another shot, especially if the heavens opened in the lead-up to The Everest Day at Royal Randwick in October. 'I wouldn't say no if we get another chance,' Lunn said. 'If we did get in and it was wet, you never know. 'He gets better the deeper he goes into a preparation so he should hold his form now. 'Hopefully this weather can hang around now for a while too.' Elson Boy is a $51 chance with for The Kosciuszko.

Zou Sensation set for Group 1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes after third straight win at Flemington
Zou Sensation will be aimed at the Group 1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m) next month at Caulfield after a third straight win. The in-form Zoustar gelding, trained by Leon and Troy Corstens and Will Larkin, raced keenly early and through the middle stages but maintained a strong gallop under 'passenger' Jamie Melham. Melham rolled forward from barrier 10, hopeful of being able to settle nicely, but Zou Sensation had other ideas. It mattered not at the finish though for the stable, jockey and connections as Zou Sensation held off Running By and Fortunate Kiss. 'I was an absolute passenger then,' Melham said. 'From the wide draw I thought that might happen, I wanted to let him bounce and be where he was but the second we landed he was just in too much of a good mood. 'For him to win like that is very impressive. The team has got this horse absolutely peaking. 'He's run so well, I just wish he would control himself early because he'd be next level this horse, anyway, he's winning so we're happy.' He's just an arrogant horse, he knows he's good.' Larkin said Zou Sensation warranted Sir Rupert Clarke consideration. 'He's definitely a horse starting to put his hand up as someone who could probably go to the Rupert Clarke,' Larkin said. 'We'll look at that and how he gets there we'll work it out.' Larkin said Zou Sensation would appreciate racing in the better grades where the tempo is faster. 'He's definitely a better horse when he's chasing and allowed to get cover,' Larkin said. 'In those better races there's going to be better tempo and he's going to be allowed to do that.'

Trainer Denim Wynen celebrates her first city success as new stable recruit Sunshine Law triumphs at Rosehill
Yulong's loss was Denim Wynen's gain as Sunshine Law delivered the young trainer her maiden city winner at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday. Wynen, 29, enjoyed the biggest moment of her career to date when her new edition handled the heavy conditions to prevail in the Congratulations James McDonald Benchmark 78 Handicap (1400m). Sunshine Law had previously been trained by Annabel and Rob Archibald and raced in the silks of breeding powerhouse Yulong before being sold online to Wynen's connections for $85,000. 'I am so stoked,' Wynen said. 'Coming into today, I hate being too confident with people but in myself I knew I had quite a good horse coming here. 'The trackwork rider, after the first gallop she had on her, said she thinks she is quite a serious horse so for her to say that, I thought I have a nice horse.' Sunshine Law had won her last two starts for the Archibalds at Canberra and Hawkesbury but her latest success ensured her new owners for an immediate return on their investment. The daughter of Alabama Express banked just shy of her purchase price with an $82,500 winner's cheque. 'Credit to them, they picked it,' Wynen said. 'They rang me the day before and said they were looking at some tried horses online. 'They have been a big support to my stable in the last six months and bought some weanlings and wanted to get to the races sooner. 'They decided to go to the tried sales and picked up two nice horses from Yulong so I think we are going to have some fun with them.' Apprentice Anna Roper brought up a quick-fire early double with a confident steer aboard Sunshine Law. 'It was a really good win,' Roper said. 'I thought she was feeling the pinch a bit the last 100m and I think she started to have a little think about it but the horse to her inside kept her going. 'It was a really good tough effort first-up today.' Wynen dipped her two in the water as a hobby trainer but has taken over the past two years and is building a small stable on the Central Coast. 'I had a hobby, just a couple of my own, but just two years for owners and I am loving it,' she said. 'I only have six in work, I do all the work myself, literally seven days morning and afternoon so it's a good number.' Meanwhile, the Joseph Pride -trained Headley Grange bounced back to his best as the rain poured down in Sydney. He faced vastly different conditions in his return to town on a heavy 10 surface for the National Jockeys Trust Handicap (1500m). Headley Grange ($3.70) thrived in the tough going under the urging of Adam Hyeronimus as he surged away to score by two lengths from Adam Duggan 's Diamond Diesel ($20) while Pride's Estadio Mestalla ($5) was third. 'He is honest and genuine,' Pride said. 'I think people who like backing him, keep backing him because he turns up and wins when he gets the opportunity. 'I would be forgiving of him for his last start at Grafton when I really thought that track was too hard for him. 'I wouldn't run him on a surface that firm again, he enjoys tracks with the string out of them.'
