Here's how you can watch Friday's MSU-Bryant NCAA Tournament basketball game Michigan State looks to advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament with a win over Bryant on Friday
March Madness is officially upon us and the Spartans will join the party on Friday night from Cleveland.
The Spartans will face off against No. 15 seed Bryant in a South Region first round matchup on Friday night. This game between the Spartans and Bulldogs will be played at Rocket Arena, with the winner moving on to the second round and facing the winner of No. 7 seed Marquette-No. 10 seed New Mexico.
Michigan State comes into this matchup as a heavy favorite over the Bulldogs. But don't expect Bryant to go down easy as the Bulldogs were dominant throughout their conference play this year.
This will be the 27th straight NCAA Tournament appearance fro the Spartans. That is the longest active streak in the country. This will be only the second-ever NCAA Tournament game for Bryant, who made the jump to Division I just 15 years ago.

Michigan State 85, Bryant 67: This feels like a good matchup for the Spartans when you look at what Bryant likes to do and how it really plays into the Spartans' strengths. I envision Michigan State's defensive ability to keep the Bulldogs in check, and if they can rebound efficiently as they've done all season long then this should be a game they control for most of the second half. Anything is possible in March (don't remind me of 2016), but this does feel like a game the Spartans should run away with as long as Bryant doesn't have their own Giddy Potts type of performance.

BELMONT - As Lexi Thompson's approach on 18 landed and found the green, Thompson did something she hadn't for most of her round - she smiled. It was a moment of triumph and relief for Thompson, who birdied 18 and had three birdies in her final four holes to pull within one shot of the lead heading into the weekend at the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give at Blythefield Country Club. Advertisement Thompson, who birdied the first hole on Friday, June 13, had one bogey and 12 pars in the next 13 holes before finishing strong. She had a 3-under Friday and is at 7-under heading into the weekend one shot off the lead shared by four golfers. "I started off well, then kind of fizzled a little bit. I just tried to stay positive. I wanted to get seven birdie looks in the last seven holes, and unfortunately, they were longer looks than I wanted, but ended up with a few birdies coming in," Thompson said. "My first birdie coming in on 15, I ended up making a put off the collar that I wasn't really expecting, down the hill right to left. I was just trying to par, but I really just wanted to stay confident over the last couple of holes coming in. "There were a few par saves that were important to keep me in it. Just staying patient out there because it got really windy. You have to know birdie holes are out there." No one has had that kind of extended success at Blythefield except Thompson, despite two wins for Brooke Henderson and a spectacular three-year stretch for Leona Maguire. A few players who teed off early in the morning had a string of birdies, but it was not the same in the afternoon. Carlota Ciganda had seven birdies in the second round in one of the early groups, but also had a couple of bogeys and finished 6-under for the round and 8-under for the tournament. Celine Boutier had a similar round with seven birdies and three bogies to finish 4-under for the day and 8-under for the tournament. Hye-Jin Choi was 4-under for the second day in a row to tie Ciganda and Boutier at 8-under. One afternoon player had a share of the lead as Karis Davidson shot a 2-under, with a birdie on 18, to share the lead at 8-under. Texas surging with elite edge Jamarion Carlton after recent visit Texas has picked a few huge commitments over the last week for their 2026 recruiting class as four-star defensive lineman Dylan Berymon and four-star defensive tackle Corey Wells made their pledges to the Longhorns. They have another blue-chipper in their sights as well and that's four-star edge Jamarion Carlton. The 6-foot-5, 240-pounder named Texas in his top five schools last week and also set a July 10 commitment date. Carlton was back in Austin last weekend to see the Longhorns, and he got to take in a bunch of what the program has to offer and what they have in store if he commits. "This official visit was amazing," Carlton told Rivals earlier this week. "Just to be able to chill with the players, get some good advice and then being able to know what plan they have for me. At Texas, the plan to develop me into reaching my highest potential as a player and as a person was great. The time with the players and the coaches was pretty fun." Carlton had a productive junior season for Temple High School. He amassed 57 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, five sacks, and a forced fumble. Rivals has Carlton ranked extremely high in their rankings. In addition to being the No. 46 overall prospect he's also the No. 4 edge rusher and the No. 4 recruit in the state of Texas. Texas Tech hosted Carlton at the end of April and LSU in May. He still has official visits to Texas A&M and Baylor before he commits, so last weekend was immensely important for Texas and their chances to land Carlton. After spending time with players on the Longhorns roster as well as edge coach LaAllan Clark, Carlton can envision himself playing in Austin. "I can see myself there," Carlton said. If Texas can snag Carlton, they'll inch closer toward a top 10 class for the 2026 cycle.
