Dhamar - Saba:
Dhamar province has launched a "Facilitated Ploughing Initiative" to expand the cultivation of wheat, corn, and legumes. The initiative, spearheaded by several agricultural cooperatives, aims to help farmers prepare hard lands for the upcoming agricultural season.
The initiative, launched on Wednesday, involves Ans Multi-Purpose Agricultural Cooperative Society, Dhamar Rural Agricultural Cooperative Society for Grain Producers, Maifa'a Ans Multi-Purpose Agricultural Cooperative Society, and the Doran Agricultural Cooperative Society for Grain Producers, in collaboration with the Agricultural Cooperative Union and Bunyan Development Foundation.
Province undersecretary Ali Atef emphasized the initiative's role in reclaiming hard lands and achieving food security and self-sufficiency. He urged farmers to utilize the opportunity and plow owners to contribute to its success.
Dr. Adel Omar, Director of the Agriculture Sector, highlighted the initiative's alignment with agricultural development goals and the program to expand grain cultivation.
Local directors and cooperative leaders stressed the importance of the initiative in helping farmers prepare lands for cultivation and encouraged participation.
The initiative will provide 1,176 hours of plowing at symbolic prices, utilizing the societies' plowing machines, and will cycle through the targeted districts.

Dhamar-Saba: The Undersecretary of Dhamar Governorate, Ali Atef, inaugurated on Sunday the sixth festival for productive families, organized by the branch of the National Committee for Women, with the support of the Small and Micro Enterprise Development and Zakat Authority, and will continue until the end of Ramadan. The festival includes handicrafts, food products, clothing, perfumes, and leather, in coordination with the Bureau of Economy and Industry and the Tax Authority. Undersecretary Atef stressed the importance of the festival in supporting productive families, promoting local production, and providing permanent sources of income, pointing to its role in reducing unemployment, achieving economic empowerment, and promoting a culture of buying local products. In turn, the head of the branch of the National Committee for Women, Dr. Ashwaq Al-Mahdi, explained that the festival aims to market local products, provide job opportunities, and support the national economy, stressing that encouraging local production contributes to achieving self-sufficiency and reducing imports. She praised the official support for the festival, stressing the importance of strengthening economic initiatives and enabling productive families to compete in the markets. Distribution of wheat seeds, diesel to farmers of Ans and Maifa'a Ans in Dhamar

Dhamar-Saba: The Ans Agricultural Cooperative Society launched the distribution of 14 tons of improved wheat seeds and 4,000 liters of diesel to 73 farmers in the Ans and Maifa'a Ans districts in Dhamar Governorate, as white loans funded by the Executive Unit for Agricultural Project Financing Management, during the winter agricultural season. Dr. Adel Omar, Director of the Executive Unit, stressed the importance of this initiative in enhancing agricultural production and achieving self-sufficiency, calling for activating agricultural associations and forming them in the districts that lack them to benefit from the available facilities. The head of the Agricultural Cooperative Union, Abdul Wahab Alaya, also pointed out the importance of supporting agricultural associations to encourage farmers to expand the production of grains and legumes. The head of the Ans Cooperative Society, Muhammad Al-Hajj, explained that this initiative covers the cultivation of 36 hectares, praising the role of white loans in supporting farmers and achieving an agricultural renaissance. He also called for strengthening the efforts of the society and providing funding to complete the Agricultural Export Development Center project, with the aim of achieving self-sufficiency and reducing dependence on imports.
