Moment burglar smashes into nan's home before stomping her to death – as helpless daughter heard attack on doorbell cam
THIS is the horrifying moment a burglar smashed his way into a gran's home before stomping her to death in a brutal murder.
Catherine "Queenie" Flynn, 69, was dragged from her bed by Dean Mears, who broke every bone in her face.

Her daughter Natasha Flynn-Farrell was forced to listen to her mum's final moments after the attack was caught on doorbell cam.
Footage showed Mears ringing the bell at the home in Rhyl, North Wales, after he took cannabis and ketamine.
The 34-year-old was then captured smashing a downstairs window to gain access to the house to burgle it.
Once inside, Mears stomped on 4ft 10ins Catherine 15 times in a "senseless" attack.
Tragically, the doorbell footage triggered a message on Natasha's phone - meaning she was forced to helplessly listen to her mum's killing.
Brave Natasha kept the app open in order to record the video, which was the key evidence in the harrowing case.
As a result, she told how she just "had to watch it play out' as her mum desperately begged "please don't".
Mears could also be heard yelling "where are the keys?" as Catherine pleaded with him not to hurt her.
The sickening sound of 15 thuds was also captured as the killer attacked Catherine.
Natasha said: "It was horrendous, it was sickening.'
Mears was then captured just two minutes later throwing himself through the broken window and fleeing.
Frail Catherine, who used a Zimmer frame, suffered catastrophic injuries before dying the next day in hospital.
Mears, who admitted manslaughter, has now been found guilty of murder following a trial.
Caernarfon Crown Court heard after the horror last October, Mears returned to his pal's home and stripped off his trousers and underwear.
He was then seen on CCTV walking semi-naked around the town.
Mears admitted he had carried out the attack but claimed he had no recollection.
Prosecutor Andrew Jones left Catherine "dying on the floor of her own bedroom".
A post-mortem likened the injuries Catherine suffered to those seen in car crashes.
A pathologist said the wounds were caused by "repeated, severe blunt force trauma that shattered all her facial bones".
He added: "He inflicted such severe damage to the face of Mrs Flynn that she had no chance of surviving this vicious, unprovoked assault."
Catherine's family described the gran as a "rock" and best friend to her three children and said "her house was so welcoming and warm".
They said: "Catherine was a wonderful mum, nan, great nan, auntie, and sister, and also a second mother to many and a great friend.
"She loved her family more than anything, she was a fantastic cook and was always wanting to feed anyone in her company.
"Her pride and joy (after her family) was her love for her garden, she would sit for hours just watching the birds and the bees come in and out of her little wonderland, with every flower imaginable.
"We often wondered how her garden was always so beautiful - now we know, it's because she was the ray of sunshine."
Mears was remanded in custody ahead of sentencing in June.

A former police officer who was sacked because of his 'aggressive' detention of a 15-year-old boy has said he is being treated like an 'abuser' and is appealing his case. Lorne Castle was dismissed by Dorset Police after an independent disciplinary tribunal found that he had committed gross misconduct in relation to the arrest of the youth in Bournemouth town centre on January 27 2024. The ex-police constable had admitted misconduct in relation to breaching the standards of professional behaviour relating to authority, respect and courtesy, conduct and use of force but denied gross misconduct. Following the hearing, a Dorset Police spokesman said that Mr Castle had acted 'inappropriately' as he detained the teenager after receiving reports of two assaults in the seaside town. The spokesman said: 'Pc Castle was seen to use unnecessary and inappropriate words towards the boy and place both his hands on his throat. 'The panel found that Pc Castle failed to act with self-control, did not treat the boy with courtesy or respect. 'His shouting, swearing, finger pointing, taking hold of the boy's face and throat and suggested use of leg restraints was not necessary, reasonable or proportionate.' A video clip of the incident, released by the force on Tuesday, shows the officer tackling the boy to the ground before taking hold of the teenager's face and throat while repeatedly swearing and shouting at him. The boy can be heard shouting and crying 'what have I done' and 'what did I do' before the officer shouts 'stop screaming like a little b****, do you understand that? Shut up'. The teenager also screams 'my f****** neck, get off me, I don't want you on me', while Mr Castle is on top of him. The officer later shouts 'stop resisting or I'm gonna smash you, do you understand?' and says the boy is being arrested on suspicion of assault. Speaking on LBC radio, Mr Castle said that the suspect, who had been wearing a mask, had been 'an unknown risk' and was found to be in possession of a knife during the arrest. The 46-year-old father-of-three said: 'If I'd have known on those circumstances that he had a knife that would have probably been a firearms incident. 'The real danger is the unknown. We knew he was potentially violent, but we didn't know how violent. 'Now, the risk for any police officer is the moment you go to detain someone, until you know you've got them safely detained.' He added that it was a 'scary situation' because he was on the ground with the offender with other people nearby. Mr Castle said he had received thousands of messages of support but felt that people were questioning his nature despite previously having '10 years of exemplary service' and having previously received a bravery award from the Humane Society. A GoFundMe page set up for Mr Castle by a retired police officer has so far raised £49,616. He said: 'I've got a phenomenal family and everyone knows that but people are asking that question now 'am I some sort of abuser?' because I attempted to arrest someone who was potentially violent, who resisted and my risk analysis was 100% correct.' In a statement Dorset Police Federation criticised Dorset Police's decision to release the footage, saying the force had done so 'without also providing context or balance'. The federation added: 'Our view is that the showing of selective clips of an officer's body worn video is not a useful or responsible way to properly inform the public about an incident – and only serves to entice the public into making judgments without having the benefit of all the facts. 'This is not fair or just. ' Dorset's Deputy Chief Constable Rachel Farrell said: 'We are sharing body worn video to address concerns about misinformation and to reassure the public that, while tackling crime in Dorset, our officers will continue to be proactive and robust – but by using their powers proportionately and with respect.'

Teen killed by poisoned cupcake sent by classmate who claimed it was from a 'secret admirer'
A teenager in Brazil allegedly killed her friend by sending her an arsenic-laced cupcake - and claiming it was from a secret admirer in a bid to 'scare' her. The 'jealous' perpetrator also sent two notes - purportedly written by the mystery paramour - praising the 'most beautiful' 17-year-old unnamed victim. She then watched silently as her classmate Ana Neves fell ill and was rushed to hospital where she died, according to the victim's father, Silvio das Neves. 'After my daughter died, she still greeted me and hugged me,' the grief-stricken father claimed. The two separate notes read: 'A treat for the most beautiful girl I've ever seen' and 'A gift for the sweetest girl with the most incredible personality I know.' In an attempt to trace the mystery benefactor, a curious Neves had sent an audio message to a group chat asking who among her pals in Itapecerica - about 310 miles north of Sao Paulo - had sent the treat and the notes. But there was no response, according to Brazilian news outlet G1. The victim fell sick around an hour after eating the cake at 6pm on Saturday but was initially discharged from hospital that night. Neves returned home for a sleepover with the suspect, not knowing she had tried to kill her. Her condition took a turn for the worse on Sunday when she became ill and fell in her bathroom. Neves' father told reporters that she was dead by the time she had arrived at the hospital, where doctors failed to revive her from a cardiac arrest. 'This girl went to sleep at my house and was there for the whole thing,' Neves said after his daughter's burial service. While at home, she added the toxic chemical on the cupcake and then requested the courier service, paying around 88 cents (5 reals) for the delivery. The teen also admitted to poisoning another classmate, 17-year-old Kamilly da Silva, on May 15 because she just wanted to frighten her. She said she targeted da Silva because she had not gotten over her breakup with her two previous boyfriends, according to a statement that was obtained by CNN Brasil. She told investigators she 'did not intend for any greater harm to happen' to both of the victims and that she just wanted both girls to 'experience bad symptoms, such as vomiting.' Da Silva made a full recovery, but never filed a police report. Silvio das Neves could not understand why his daughter's classmate wanted to cause harm. 'My daughter didn't deserve this,' he said. 'She was a good person. She had no vices, she didn't mess with anyone. She was a hard worker.'
