Stunning 100 acre estate in 'prime Winnie the Pooh country' on sale for £5.5m
A stunning country estate in "prime Winnie the Pooh country" is on sale for £5,500,000. The property, known as Top Hill Farm, is in Hartfield, on the edge of Ashdown Forest. The stories of Winnie the Pooh were inspired by A.A. Milne's adventures through the forest with his son Christopher Robin. Top Hill Farm, a part of this cherished landscape, has now been listed by Savills after being in the same ownership for the last 35 years. The estate comprises a main house, an external office or playroom, and various facilities including stables, a barn and a recently rebuilt indoor riding arena. The estate covers more than 100 acres (Image: Savills) There is also a two-bedroom detached lodge cottage, a granny flat above the garage, and a one-bedroom annexe. While Winnie the Pooh took place in the fictional setting 100 Acre Wood, Top Hill Farm contains 100 acres of its own. Surrounding the main house is 100 acres of land, including paddocks, gardens, a walled water garden, a private pool area and woodlands. Savills director Edward Wain-Heapy said: "Top Hill Farm is in prime Winnie the Pooh country, and with its very own 100 acres, offers an incoming family a lifetime full of adventures. "The main house has the most spectacular views across Ashdown Forest, and its accommodation could be adapted to suit a buyer's requirements. The property borders on Ashdown Forest (Image: Savills) "In what is the centenary year of Winnie the Pooh first being published as a story in the London Evening News, this sale provides an exciting opportunity for someone to take on a country estate in a special and sought-after East Sussex location." The main house is described as "generously proportioned" and "ideal for family living". It is situated up a long private driveway in an elevated position with "lovely views to the rear" and away from neighbours. 'Sleepless in Seattle' child actor Ross Malinger reflects on 'genuine' and lasting Tom Hanks friendship
"Tom and I worked together in harmony, and ultimately that is what I believe made this film a classic," says the former actor, now 42. It's been 32 years since theater audiences melted at Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan's Sleepless in Seattle finale atop the Empire State Building. But while the marquee names were the film's romance, its heart was all child star Ross Malinger — something that has stayed with fans, even if they aren't entirely sure what he looks like anymore. "Everywhere I go, people are always telling me that I look familiar,' says Malinger, 42, who played young Jonah, the matchmaking son of Sam (Hanks), in Nora Ephron's 1993 film. Malinger, who was 8 during production, recalls off-camera moments with Hanks: "We were filming at the fish market and were waiting around to start rolling, and Tom kept picking up different fish and moving their mouth and making them say goofy things," Malinger says. "He was always joking around and making me laugh." Their connection continued beyond the film, with Hanks inviting him to the premiere of his other 1993 film, Philadelphia, and 1996's That Thing You Do!. "We genuinely cared about each other," says Malinger. "That natural chemistry allowed me to really bring a lot of intensity and emotion to Jonah's character." Malinger took on more than 20 TV and film roles post-Sleepless, including six episodes of Party of Five and series regular roles on the CBS sitcom Good Advice and the WB comedy Nick Freno: Licensed Teacher. He also voiced T.J. on the first season of Recess, and concluded his acting career in 2006 with an episode of Without a quitting acting, Malinger got married in his late 20s, and worked as a classic-car restorer before starting a small IT and computer-repair business and eventually as a finance manager for a car dealership company. But he will always remember his time on the Sleepless set fondly. "After filming our fight scene, Nora told me that she knew this was going to be a very special film," he says of a dramatic scene between him and Hanks. "Tom and I worked together in harmony, and ultimately that is what I believe made this film a classic." Read the original article on Entertainment Weekly

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is releasing early in the US, but with a catch – and it involves the highest tiers of Crunchyroll subscriptions
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is getting an early release in North America, but only for those who have signed up to the higher membership tiers on anime streamer Crunchyroll. As revealed by Crunchyroll, 250 theaters will host "limited" screenings on September 9 for Mega and Ultra Fan subscribers. That arrives three days before the general release of the Demon Slayer movie in the US and UK on September 12. Adapting the Infinity Castle manga arc, the new anime movie sees shonen protagonist Tanjiro dive headfirst into the belly of the beast – the titular Infinity Castle, where a legion of demons (led by series Big Bad Muzan Kibutsuji) lies in wait. The Infinity Castle movie, subtitled Akaza's Revenge in Japan, is set to be the first of a trilogy of feature films designed to bring the Demon Slayer story to a close. The first Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle reviews have been slightly mixed, though that hasn't dampened the spirits of moviegoers as the Ufotable-animated feature smashed all kinds of box office records in Japan, including the best single day for tickets sold and the highest-grossing opening weekend in history. In a surprise move, Channing Tatum has joined the English-language cast as Keizo, Akaza's former master – though not everyone is pleased by the Deadpool and Wolverine actor's inclusion. Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle kicks off a packed fall season for anime, which also includes the Chainsaw Man movie, One-Punch Man season 3, and Spy x Family season 3, among others.
