While he's struggling behind the scenes, Michael made it clear that fatherhood remains his proudest role.
'Being a dad is a massive part of my purpose,' he said.
'But somewhere in the life noise, the pressure, the lack of sleep, the negative thoughts… I stopped being much else.'

Joey Swoll caves to leftist trolls as he 'quits' social media over backlash to Hulk Hogan tribute
Joey Swoll, the popular social media bodybuilder and self-appointed arbiter of gym etiquette, has now made enemies on the left and right over his reaction to Hulk Hogan 's death. The 40-something Swoll (born: Joseph Sergo) ignited outrage online this week in the aftermath of Hogan's fatal heart attack by posting a video of himself dressed up like his childhood hero in full Hulkamaniac regalia. But Hogan critics blasted Swoll's tribute due to past racist remarks by the wrestler born Terry Bollea. Hogan famously described himself as 'racist to a point' in a 2007 tape in which he uses the N-word several times. Swoll tried to quell the outrage, but in doing so, used the word 'colored' to describe African Americans, thereby digging himself into a deeper proverbial hole with online critics. As a result, he posted a video this week to apologize to his audience. 'I owe my followers, my community, and all of social media an apology,' Swoll said. 'A few days ago, I reposted an old video of me in the gym wearing a Hulk Hogan costume on the day he passed. 'Last night in my live stream, a lot of people expressed how upset and frustrated they were with me. Instead of listening and understanding like I should have, I became defensive and said that I was posting to celebrate the wrestling icon, the person that so many of us looked up to as kids. 'I didn't know the extent of all the horrible things that he had done. Since last night, I've done a lot of research and learned all of the horrible things that man has done, which is way more than just making a mistake and being human. 'I have taken the video down, and I apologize to anyone that I have offended.' Now, though, its conservatives who are lashing at out Swoll after he apologized for his previous remarks and apparently quit social media. 'Fitness influencer Joey Swoll 'quits' after bending the knee to the woke mob by apologizing for honoring Hulk Hogan after he passed,' wrote conservative Collin Rugg on X. Matt Walsh, another conservative podcaster, had a similar take. 'Influencer Joey Swoll posts a groveling apology for praising Hulk Hogan,' Walsh wrote. 'He thanks the leftist trolls for 'educating' him. Absolutely pathetic. Inexcusable to cave to the woke mob at any time, but to cave to them in 2025? Baffling.' Swoll did not thank anyone for 'educating' him, as Walsh claimed, but he did pledge to 'do better' in the future. In a previous statement he announced he was 'done with social media,' but it's unclear if he's truly resolved to leave his platforms. Daily Mail has reached out for clarification. Swoll's place in media is difficult to explain to those who aren't engaged in social media. Within the world of influencers, there exists a fitness subculture where aficionados share their supposed expertise on all gym matters. And it's within that world that we find Swoll, who now styles himself as the 'CEO of Gym Positivity.' But it's not his corny surname or status as a 'gym positivity influencer' that irked conservatives. It was his decision to apologize to the 'woke left,' according to his critics. 'Joey Swoll got cancelled by the left cause he's racist and then cancelled by the right because he apologized for his racism,' one person remarked online. Another added: 'This guy's pathetic. The woke left mob should have zero influence on your life & the decisions you make.'

Jamie Lee Curtis reveals the real reason behind the 22-year wait for Freaky Friday sequel
Jamie Lee Curtis has revealed the real reason behind the long 22-year wait for a sequel to Freaky Friday. The American actress, 66, starred alongside Lindsay Lohan in the now-smash hit 2003 comedy, which sees the two characters switch bodies, with hilarity ensuing. Fans had long hoped for a sequel to the iconic comedy but had an agonising wait as Freakier Friday is only now hitting cinemas - a whole 22 years on from the original. Now, Jamie Lee has revealed why there was such a long gap between the two releases as she admitted she has long had her eye on a follow-up movie. Appearing on Wednesday's The One Show, Jamie revealed they had to wait until Lindsay, 39, was old enough to have a teenage child for the sequel premise to work. 'The truth is that Lindsay had to be old enough to have a 15-year-old daughter, people would ask me about the movie over and over again,' she shared. 'And finally someone in Australia said, ''well she is'' and I was like ''what do you mean?'' because I know her as this young girl so I don't know how old she is. 'So someone told me and I was, like ''Oh! well maybe we can make the movie. Let's go!''' Lindsay was just 15 years old when she first portrayed Anna Coleman in Freaky Friday alongside Jamie Lee, who played her on-screen mother Tess Coleman. It follows the bickering mother and daughter after a Chinese restaurant fortune cookie mishap causes them to switch bodies, forcing them to live the other's life. Despite barely having been able to see eye-to-eye, the magical switch eventually allows them to see things from the other's point of view. The sequel will see the iconic pairing switch places once again, though this time there is quadruple chaos in store. Anna (Lindsay) is preparing to tie the knot with to Eric Davies (Manny Jacinto), but things are proving difficult as her teenage daughter Harper (Julia Butters) despises Eric's teenager Lily (Sophia Hammons). Harper highlights her disgust as she's heard reciting mock wedding vows, in which she brands her soon-to-be step-sister 'a little demon thing with an obnoxious accent'. They had to wait until Lindsay, 39, was old enough to have a teenage child for the sequel premise to work [pictured Lindsay's on-screen daughter Julia Butters and Sophia Hammons] A flash forward to Anna's bachelorette party sees her and mother Tess Coleman sit down with a fortune teller (Vanessa Bayer), who warns them they may learn another lesson by 'walking in each other's paths'. Anna and Tess then find themselves caught up in yet another 'freaky' body swap incident - only this time, it's not just between the two of them. The next morning, Anna discovers she's swapped bodies with daughter Harper, while Tess, aka 'Grandma', is now in the body of Anna's step-daughter Lily. Quadruple chaos then ensues as the foursome try to navigate their new roles with just days to go until the wedding. Chad Michael Murray is also returning to his role as Jake as the two teenage girls also hatch a plot to try and get Anna to reunite with her first love amid the wedding chaos.

ESPN analyst left 'mortified' as he piles in on woke backlash to Sydney Sweeney's 'racist' American Eagle ad
One ESPN analyst claims they've been left 'mortified' by Sydney Sweeney 's controversial American Eagle advert. Last week, the company rolled out its fall commercial lineup featuring the 27-year-old in various poses and scenarios with the tagline, 'Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans'. The obvious reference to her 'genes' didn't sit well with many people on social media, who accused the ads of being a racial dog whistle. While many continue to debate about the advert online, ESPN analyst David Dennis Jr has weighed in on the matter and didn't pull any punches as he did so. Taking to social media, Dennis Jr wrote: 'I didn't think anything of the Sydney Sweeney ads. 'But then ACTUAL SCHOLARS ON MESSAGING, EUGENICS AND FASCISM explained what was going on then yes I understood and became pretty mortified because hey sometimes IT'S GOOD TO LISTEN TO EXPERTS'. The adverts have divided fans, with one critic calling the clip 'one of the loudest and most obvious racialized dog whistles we've seen and heard in a while.' The phrase 'great genes' is 'historically used to celebrate whiteness, thinness and attractiveness,' which it said made 'this campaign seem to be a tone-deaf marketing move,' a Salon report on the backlash read. In a sarcastic post, Dennis Jr continued: 'I'm just happy that these AE ads are making it safe for conventionally attractive blue eyed blonde women to be accepted by society again. They're no longer the scourges of society they once were! FINALLY!' In a series of images, the Spokane, Washington-born beauty - who is set to play boxer Christy Martin in an upcoming biopic already garnering Oscar buzz - is seen modeling a variety of denim-based ensembles. In an accompanying video, Sydney is seen buttoning up her jeans as she muses: 'Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair colour, personality and even eye colour... my genes are blue'. Alexandria Hurley, a Las Vegas-based publicist, speculated to that the idea to stir the pot was not a mistake at all. American Eagle Chief Marketing Officer Craig Brommers said the campaign is designed to be flashier than competitors' and features Sweeney as one of the most recognizable young stars of the moment 'From a PR perspective, what we're seeing from Sydney Sweeney isn't a 'misstep' or 'Pepsi moment.' It's a calculated brand evolution. The idea that this ad slipped through the cracks underestimates both her and her team,' she explained. Hurley went on to point out: 'Sydney has flirted with controversy before — from her SNL Hooters skit to her recent Bathwater Bliss collaboration with Dr. Squatch — and rather than walk it back after criticism, she's leaned further in. That's not oversight. That's strategy.' She also stressed that the 'Great Genes' tagline was 'deliberately' provocative and that the 'racial undertones being called out aren't subtle.' 'Instead of apologizing, she and American Eagle quickly pivoted with a visual 'fix,' having her paint over the billboard. It's a gesture that looks performative at best, especially in the absence of any direct acknowledgement of the criticism,' Hurley stated.
