They will also meet stakeholders including students, faculty members and support staff to assess the institutional culture, experiences of students and the challenges they face.
The committee will suggest measures for the prevention of such incidents in future. The UGC has asked the committee to submit a detailed report on findings and recommendations to it within a week.

The Jammu and Kashmir police on Saturday claimed to have seized a consignment of narcotics that was dropped in the border village of Chillyari in Samba district by a drone sent from across the international border with Pakistan. Wrapped in a yellow tape, the consignment was found lying in an open field, the police said, adding that it contained 498 g of a heroin-like substance. The police launched a search operation in the area after the recovery of the drone-dropped consignment of narcotics. RPF rescues 5 minor boys from Kishanganj railway station
Patna: Railway Protection Force (RPF) in a joint operation with Child Helpline and Jan Nirman Kendra rescued five minor boys from Kishanganj railway station on Sunday. The minor boys were spotted in a suspicious situation on platform no. 2. Three of them are residents of West Bengal, while two are from Kishanganj. A press statement issued by the RPF said during questioning, the boys revealed their names and addresses. Yasin (17), Naseem (15), and Wasim (17) are residents of Lodhan Jharbari village under Goalpokhar police station area of Uttar Dinajpur (West Bengal). Tariq Anwar (16) and Mohammad Umar (16) are from Bholmara village under Poakhali police station area of Kishanganj. Further inquiry revealed that Yasin, Naseem, and Wasim were heading to Kerala to work in hotels, while Tariq and Umar ran away from home to work in Delhi. All the boys were brought to the RPF post in Kishanganj, the statement said. "After completing all the paperwork and verification, the rescued minor boys were handed over to Child Helpline Kishanganj, in the presence of witnesses. These children will now receive better care," said Abdul Qayum, supervisor of Kishanganj Child Helpline. A recent report released by the Bihar Police headquarters revealed that between January and May this year, 231 FIRs concerning human trafficking and child labour were registered. In this time frame, authorities successfully rescued 624 minors, which included 118 girls and 506 boys, from exploitative situations. Meanwhile, the police apprehended 144 traffickers, consisting of 127 men and 17 women, under Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act (ITPA), and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act.
