Sydney Sweeney is clearing up rumors about her engagement to Jonathan Davino once and for all.
When asked by the U.K. newspaper The Sunday Times about their status, Sweeney was honest but withheld details.
She confirmed she is no longer planning a wedding with Davino, with whom she co-founded a production company; the two had been linked together for nearly seven years. And she replied "yes" when asked whether she's single now.
"I'm learning a lot about myself, spending more time with my friends. And I'm loving it," the 27-year-old told the newspaper.
Sweeney's comments, which were published in the newspaper's May 31 feature story timed to her new AppleTV+ film, "Echo Valley," come more than three months after rumors started swirling around a possibly rocky relationship. By the end of March, outlets including People, TMZ and US Weekly were reporting the two had split.
Sweeney's representatives did not respond to USA TODAY's request for comment at the time.

Sweeney also touched on the box-office success of the 2023 movie she and Davino co-produced, "Anyone But You." The film – and Sweeney and co-star Glen Powell's marketing stunts – fueled a seldom-seen race to see the rom-com in theaters.
"Glenn and I adore each other, so I think we were so happy for the reception of the film," she said, noting the two are "still close." (Sweeney attended Powell's sister's wedding in Texas in March.)
"When you spend so much time with someone, you become close and you talk to each other about anything," she told The Sunday Times. "So work, life, family, friends, he's just there for me. I'm there for him."
In an April 2024 New York Times interview, Powell admitted the speculation over whether he and Sweeney were having an affair was all a showmance.
"The two things that you have to sell a rom-com are fun and chemistry. Sydney and I have a ton of fun together, and we have a ton of effortless chemistry," he said. "That's people wanting what's on the screen off the screen, and sometimes you just have to lean into it a bit — and it worked wonderfully."
He added, "Sydney is very smart."

Sweeney also opened up to The Sunday Times about being back on the "Euphoria" set.
"Being back is crazy. I love Cassie so much," she said. "She's insane."
Sweeney also got honest about how she feels she is typecast when auditioning for roles.
"I see it all the time where they don't think I am right for [a role] because they watched Cassie in Euphoria. Especially because Cassie was such a sexualized character — that puts a wall up for people," she told the newspaper.
The other battle she's fighting in Hollywood is being "taken seriously as a producer." Sweeney said, "I have to prove myself as a young woman, as an actor, as a businessperson — all of it."
