Gardeners' World viewers break down in tears as Adam Frost pays moving tribute to 'emotional' co-star - and admits 'I've got goosebumps'
Last Friday's episode of the popular BBC show saw the presenter, 55, pay a visit to Bedfords Park Walled Gardens, near the town of Romford, Essex.
The historic space was built in the 1700s as a kitchen garden for the mansion house on the estate and was later managed by a nursery growing plants for putting in the local area's green spaces.
But it fell into disrepair after the nursery stopped using it in 2000, needing revitalising by a charity - and it is now managed by a group of dedicated local volunteers.
Adam met with Lois Amos, a retired horticultural lecturer and one of the garden's voluntary stewards - and the pair had an emotional discussion about her efforts.

He praised her commitment and the excellent work of her team in preserving the garden: 'Lois, you have got an amazing group of volunteers haven't you?
'They seem to have the same passion about the place that you have.'
Lois quipped in response: 'Yes, I've infected them with it.'
She spoke passionately about the importance of maintaining the space: 'We try to instil into everybody that this is a very historic setting and that these types of places need protection and conservation and they need using and loving.'
Adam was impressed: 'I couldn't put it better. You've just given me goosebumps. You have honestly - it's that sense of legacy, brilliant.'
The gardener was touched by his kind words: 'Thank you. I've gone all gooey. Now I've gone all emotional!'
The presenter said, 'Bless you', at her sincere reaction, offering her a warm hug to comfort her.
The Gardeners' World Instagram account had given a hint of the sweet moment in a post ahead of the episode.
Adam praised Lois's commitment and the excellent work of her team in preserving the garden: 'Lois, you have got an amazing group of volunteers haven't you?'
The caption read: 'Adam's got a wonderful heartwarming story lined up for you this week.
'It tells the tale of Bedford Park's Walled Garden - a community space in Essex brought back to life by Lois Amos and her dedicated team of volunteers.'

First airing in 1968, more than 50 series of Gardeners' World have been released to date - but viewers' excitement has seemingly not let up.
Fans were absolutely delighted when the next instalment of the show was announced back in March.
Its longtime lead presenter Monty Don posted on Instagram at the time to inform viewers about the new series.
The horticulturalist, 69, wrote: 'Gardeners' World back in action in the garden - first programme goes out next Friday.'
Included in the post was a photograph of two cameramen stood behind a fence, with two rows of brightly-coloured crocus flowers lining a grassy pathway.
Fans rushed to the comments and expressed their excitement, with one penning: 'Thrilled! Can't wait! Been watching for years, and this is my first year having a garden.';

TRNSMT 2025 act and Wet Leg singer Rhian Teasdale says she feels the reaction to Kneecap and Bob Vylan's sets at Glastonbury Festival is "messed up". The indie rocker's band played on Friday afternoon at the festival, where Bob Vylan and Kneecap's Saturday sets are being investigated by Avon and Somerset Police to decide whether any offences were committed. Bobby Vylan, of Bob Vylan, led crowds on the festival's West Holts Stage in chants of " death, death to the IDF (Israel Defence Forces)", before a member of Irish rap trio Kneecap joked that fans should "start a riot" outside his bandmate's upcoming court appearance, and led the crowd on chants of "f*** Keir Starmer". Teasdale, who will perform in Glasgow Green on Friday, July 11, told PA News Agency she was concerned by the fallout from their sets, and added she feels it is "powerful" for artists to speak up. The singer told PA: "It shouldn't have to be considered brave to call out a genocide — that should be the absolute bare minimum. "But the fact that people are being punished, silenced, or villainised for doing so shows just how messed up things are. I don't think it's brave to speak out — I think it's necessary. "What's scary is how dangerous or controversial that's being made to seem. The media has focused so much on bands like Bob Vylan and Kneecap, but they weren't the only ones speaking out. "Every other artist showed support for Palestine across the weekend. So why are these two being singled out? It feels like a deliberate attempt to create scapegoats, to distract from the actual message - which is simply calling out a genocide." Kneecap were pulled from the TRNSMT line-up with Police Scotland citing "safety concerns". The force previously said the performance, due to take place on July 11, would require "a significant policing operation". Kneecap said they had played in Glasgow "many times with no issues - ever," adding: "Make of that what you will". The trio made up of Liam Og O Hannaigh (Mo Chara), JJ Ó Dochartaigh (aDJ Provai) and Naoise O Caireallain (Moglai Bap), are playing Glasgow's O2 Academy on Tuesday, July 8 instead. Last month, Mo Chara was released on bail after facing criminal charges for allegedly supporting a proscribed terrorist organisation. He is accused of displaying a flag in support of Hezbollah at a gig in November last year. Teasdale went on: "Coming out of the Glastonbury bubble and seeing how much of that pro-Palestine messaging was cut from the BBC footage was honestly chilling. It shows how reality can be edited, distorted. "That level of control over public perception feels dystopian, and it's exactly why speaking out, even imperfectly, is so important right now." Bob Vylan's set at the festival, which was livestreamed at the time, is not available on iPlayer, and after the festival the BBC said it would no longer livestream acts it deems "high risk". Other acts to show their support for Palestine across the weekend included Wolf Alice, CMAT, and Gurriers. Teasdale says she wants to "do better" at speaking up about important issues. "Speaking about Palestine on stage isn't something I take lightly... but I do feel a huge responsibility to get it right," she went on. 'I don't want to dilute the message or speak over the people whose voices actually need to be heard. That tension can make it hard to know exactly what to say, but the alternative - saying nothing - isn't acceptable either.' Punk duo Bob Vylan issued a statement on Tuesday claiming they were being "targeted for speaking up". The pair have also had their US visas revoked before their tour later this year, were pulled from their Saturday headline slot at Radar festival in Manchester, and from an upcoming performance at a German music venue. Following her instant fame, she has set up a private company called Farmfluence, incorporated on July 1. Popular reality TV shows such as Love Island, Made In Chelsea and Big Brother have produced a host of celebrities. Many often go on to live glamorous showbiz lives as influencers, actors, TV stars or models - but others have embarked on a brand new path away from the limelight. Over the past few years, TV stars including Georgia Steel, Coco Lodge, Verity Bowditch and Kristina Rihanoff have retrained to become Pilates and yoga instructors. The exercise classes have been around for decades, but are starting to boom online and have become the hot girl workout of choice. The hashtag #pilates has more than six billion views on the platform, where devotees showcase their skills and toned bodies. Classes can exceed £35 a time and instructors advise people to practice three times a week, making it an expensive hobby popular with the middle classes. Georgia Steel Alongside the snaps, she wrote: 'Pinch me!!!! Georgia first shot to fame on Love Island in 2018 and later appeared on Celebs Go Dating, Ex on The Beach, Love Island Games, and Love Island All Stars. Now, the beauty - who also works as an influencer - has shared on Instagram she's officially a qualified Pilates instructor. Dressed in a stunning white summer dress, she posted a carousel of photos celebrating her new qualification alongside her parents and boyfriend Harry Clarke. Claudia Fogarty Before announcing her pregnancy, Claudia shared with fans how she is swapping her reality TV roots for a new career in the fitness industry. Claudia has embarked on a new journey as a Kore Reformer Pilates instructor, having recently gained her fitness qualifications. Sharing several stunning snaps of herself in a fitted black activewear set while teaching a full class, Claudia wrote: 'In my Pilates girl era… I have started a Pilates page where I'm going to put all my reformer content on. It comes after she stepped back from her and Mikey Pearce's business Clean Kitchen after the plant-based restaurant added meat to their previously 100% vegan menu. Prior to going on the show and starting her business, Verity studied Biomedical science at Kings College, specialising in anatomy and physiology. Verity now has a Pilates app called Pilates with Verity which is used globally and includes classes for all levels and programs for specific goals. She teaches in person classes twice a month in extraordinary locations around the world such as in London, Bali and Dubai, and has a retreat in Ibiza in October and one in Bali in November. Kristina Rihanoff Since leaving Strictly Come Dancing in 2015, Kristina has been embracing a new career as a yoga teacher in Northampton. Kristina and her ex Ben Cohen started Soo Yoga Group together in June 2017 - four years after falling for each other when they partnered on the 11th series of the hit BBC show. The Russian-born dancer has 20 years of experience doing yoga after falling in love with it at a class in Seattle in 2001. Speaking to the Daily Mail in 2021, she said: 'We invested everything we've ever had, we went into business for very serious reasons, we'd never refer to ourselves as celebs, like, 'Oh I'm going to do some wine business or cheese business just on the side for fun'. 'It wasn't like that for us. I've got qualifications in about 10 different styles of yoga - post-natal, pregnancy, traditional... I didn't just think, "Oh I'm going to do yoga now"'. Ben and Kristina's relationship was the product of the BBC show's infamous curse when he left his then-wife Abby in 2013, before going onto date Kristina, before money troubles reportedly tore them apart. The former couple were left with crippling debts after they ploughed every penny they had into a yoga studio which plunged into crisis during the Covid pandemic. According to The Sun, the couple are now left with a crippling £1million debt. In a tortuously frank admission Cohen told the court: 'I get up every day and I fight not to lose everything - to lose my cars and my house and my relationship. I'm so overdrawn.' When questioned about the strains on his and Rihanoff's relationship, he said: 'We're still living together. We're in it financially. 'We're in business together so the problem is that we opened the business before Covid and we got the worst severities of it and in all honestly this is just another problem for me to deal with. 'I've got credit cards that are overdrawn. I'm overdrawn in both accounts. We have got a business debt because of Covid. It's just another problem.' MailOnline was given an insight into the struggles during an interview with the couple in May 2021. Companies House records showed that the Soo Yoga Group Ltd was £488,470 in the red in its last submitted set of accounts for the year ending on July 31, 2022. The company was facing being struck off and Cohen has since resigned as a director leaving Rihanoff as its sole director - while other companies linked to the couple were also in difficulties.
