What Time Does ‘Dexter: Resurrection' Premiere On Streaming?
Dexter: Resurrection — a follow-up series to Dexter: New Blood starring Michael C. Hall — premieres this week. What time does it begin streaming and where?
Dexter: Resurrection is the fourth series in the Dexter franchise. The original Dexter series — which followed Dexter Morgan (Hall), a vigilante serial killer who uses skills as a forensic technician with the Miami Metro Police Department to meticulously rid society of heinous criminals — ran from 2006 to 2013.
Next up was the sequel series Dexter: New Blood, which ran from 2021 to 22 that was followed by the prequel series Dexter: First Blood in 2024.
The official summary for the new series reads, 'Dexter: Resurrection takes place weeks after Dexter Morgan (Hall) takes a bullet to the chest from his own son, as he awakens from a coma to find Harrison (Jack Alcott) gone without a trace. Realizing the weight of what he put his son through, Dexter sets out for New York City, determined to find him and make things right.
'But closure won't come easy. When Miami Metro's Angel Batista (David Zayas) arrives with questions, Dexter realizes his past is catching up to him fast. As father and son navigate their own darkness in the city that never sleeps, they soon find themselves deeper than they ever imagined – and that the only way out is together.'
Dexter: Resurrection, which consists of 10 episodes, will begin streaming on Paramount+ Premium (formerly Paramount+ with Showtime) with a two-episode premiere on Friday, July 11 at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT.
For cable users, Dexter Resurrection will begin airing on Showtime on Sunday, July 13 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. After that, a new episode will air weekly.
For viewers who don't have Paramount+ Premium, the service is available for $12.99 per month. However, new subscribers can get the service for $0.99 per month for the first two months through Sunday.
What Other Characters Return From 'Dexter' And 'Dexter: New Blood' in 'Dexter: Resurrection'?
In addition to Michael C. Hall, David Zayas and Jack Alcott, other cast members who return from Dexter and/or Dexter: New Blood include James Remar as Dexter's dead father, Harry Morgan, who realized in the imagination of his son.
Jimmy Smits, who played Miami Assistant District Attorney Miguel Prado in Dexter Season 3 will also return, as well as Dexter Season 4 and Dexter: New Blood guest star John Lithgow, who played Arthur Mitchell, aka the Trinity Killer, Deadline reported.
New cast members joining the Dexter franchise in Dexter Resurrection include Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine as Blessing Kamara, Kadia Saraf as Detective Claudette Wallace, Dominic Fumusa as Detective Melvin Oliva, Emilia Suárez as Elsa Rivera Peter Dinklage as Leon Prater and Uma Thurman as his associate, Charley.
Dexter: Resurrection will also feature guest appearances by Neil Patrick Harris as Lowell, Krysten Ritter as Mia, Eric Stonestreet as Al and David Dastmalchian as Gareth.
Dexter: Resurrection begins streaming on Paramount+ Premium on Friday at 12 a.m. PT/3 a.m. ET with a two-episode premiere. It will also begin airing on Showtime on cable on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

CBS News Digital's WGA East Union Members Reach Deal on Three-Year Contract, One Week Before Skydance Is Set to Take Over
Writers Guild of America East members at CBS News Digital reached a deal with management on their first collective-bargaining agreement, coming after more than a year of negotiations. The pact comes just over a week before Skydance Media is set to officially close its deal to acquire CBS parent company Paramount Global on Aug. 7. The contract also addresses severance pay in the event of job cuts due to AI rollouts and the issue of worker safety on late-night/early-morning commutes by guaranteeing extra pay for working overnight shifts, long days and weeks and standby shifts, WGA East said Wednesday in announcing the deal. The contract was unanimously ratified by the 46-member bargaining unit. The WGA East's CBS News Digital union covers writers, reporters, editors and producers at CBS News' digital platforms including its mobile website, social media channels and the CBS News app. WGA East also reps staffers at CBS News and CBS 24/7 (formerly CBSN). Highlights from the CBS News Digital contract include: Either a 3% increase or a ratification bonus in year 1 of the contract; a guaranteed minimum 3.5% pay increase in year 2 and a 3% pay increase in year 3 of the contract; guaranteed minimum severance for layoffs (two weeks pay for every year of service with a minimum of eight weeks); and a path for promotion to senior reporter. The new contract also codifies existing remote-work policies for current employees through Dec. 31, 2027, including guaranteeing employees working on a hybrid basis will not be required to work more than two days in-office; extra pay for working for short turnaround times, standby assignments and upgraded work; the option to be paid out for earned comp time; and employment protections regarding generative AI, including 1.5 times severance if union members are laid off because of its implementation. 'After organizing in 2024 with the goal of securing critical workplace protections, we're proud to have won a strong first contract for our members at CBS News Digital,' Beth Godvik, WGA East VP of broadcast/cable/streaming news, said in a statement. 'Establishing protections like guaranteed raises and pay that actually matches the job duties being performed will allow our members to build sustainable careers in News.' WGA East, affiliated with the AFL-CIO, represents more than 7,500 members working in film, TV, news, podcasts and online media. In our good year 2025, the last thing we expected to find was a personal blog written by none other than pro athlete, Tom Brady. The seven-time Super Bowl champion penned a candid piece about parenting for his 199 newsletter—and seemingly threw shade at his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, in the process. In his installment published on Tuesday, July 29, Tom reflected on the highs and lows of professional football and how the sport made him a 'great parent' to his three children. He shares Benjamin and Vivian with Gisele, while his oldest son, Jack, is shared with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan. 'I think part of being a great father is being a great example of doing what it takes to take care of your family,' he wrote, in part. 'I chose to do it by playing football.' He added, 'My dedication to the sport, the hours of practice, the moments when I was laser focused—those were times when I believe I was doing the best possible thing for my family and my kids, by prioritizing my profession and teaching, by example, what it takes to be really good at your job, what it takes to follow through on commitments, what it takes to be a great teammate; and showing them, also by example, that work is a big part of all of our lives.' The former New England Patriots quarterback then seemingly made a dig at Gisele, explaining that 'reading bedtime stories and helping them with homework are not the only ways to be a great parent. And neither is winning Super Bowls or MVPs.' He continued, 'Being a great football player didn't make me a great dad, but how I became a great player certainly had an impact—from showing up day in and day out, to doing whatever it took to get better, be successful, be a role model, and to provide.' Tom and Gisele were married for 13 years before finalizing their divorce in October 2022. Earlier that same year, he retired for a total of 40 days before returning to the field for another season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2023 season. The former Victoria's Secret angel, who is now linked to Miami-based jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente, was reportedly disappointed in Tom's decision to reverse his retirement. She opened up about how it shifted their family dynamic during her September 2022 Elle cover story, saying, 'This is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present.' Gisele added that she 'definitely had those conversations with him over and over again,' saying, 'I've done my part, which is [to] be there for [my husband]. I moved to Boston, and I focused on creating a cocoon and a loving environment for my children to grow up in and to be there supporting him and his dreams.'
