After Brahmos attack in Operation Sindoor, helpless Pakistan now seeks help from THESE two countries for new air defence... one is India's friend
India launched Operation Sindoor and carried out air strikes on Pakistan on May 7 to 10 causing a lot of damage with attack by BrahMos supersonic cruise missile. This has increased the concern of the Pak Army. After facing the attack of India's BrahMos missile, Pakistan is looking for advanced air defense system to strengthen its air security.
According to reports, Pakistan is currently considering to buy either Germany's IRIS-T or Italy's CAMM-ER air defense system. Interestingly, Germany has recently signed a submarine deal with India. It will be interesting to see whether Germany will give preference to Pakistan over India's friendship or not.
According to Resonant's report, Pakistan is eyeing Germany's IRIS-T and Italy's CAMM-ER but it is likely that it will choose IRIS-T. The reason for this is that IRIS-T has proven its capability in Ukraine. Ukraine has been at war with Russia for many years. It has been successful in stopping missiles with the capability of Brahmos with this system. On the other hand, the range and interception speed of Italy's CAMM-ER is less than that of Brahmos.
Why is Pakistan afraid of Brahmos?
Indo-Russian joint venture BrahMos has demonstrated tremendous capability during Operation Sindoor. This missile succeeded in penetrating Pakistan's air defense system. Pakistan has received HQ-9B and HQ-16 air defense systems from China. When India attacked Pakistan's airbase, this air defense could not stop BrahMos. This was a big blow to Pakistan.
After this strategic setback, the Pak Army has decided to choose either Italy's Common Anti-Air Modular Missile – Extended Range (CAMM-ER) or Germany's Infra Red Imaging System – Tail/Thrust Vector Controlled (IRIS-T) to counter India. The CAMM-ER is a medium-range air defence missile designed for flexibility and integration with various platforms. It hits targets at ranges up to 45 km and altitudes up to 20 km, making it suitable to counter cruise missiles and aircraft.
What is special about IRIS-T
Germany's IRIS-T system, which is said to be Pakistan's choice, is a short to medium-range air defence system, with surface-launched variants (IRIS-T SLM/SLS). The IRIS-T SLM offers a range of 40 kilometres and can engage targets at altitudes of up to 20 kilometres, while the SLS version focuses on short-range threats (up to 10 kilometres).
It uses advanced imaging infrared technology to distinguish targets from air defence decoys, making it effective against cruise missiles and drones. Thrust-vector control enables agile interception of fast-moving targets, crucial to counter the evasive manoeuvres of the BrahMos.
IRIS-T SLM has demonstrated its lethality in Ukraine. This missile has intercepted more than 60 Russian missiles and drones, including the P-800 Onyx. This missile includes technical systems similar to Brahmos. In such a situation, Pakistan is looking at IRIS-T as a strong option to counter Brahmos.

Income tax raids Wazirabad tehsil office, property deals for six years under scanner
Gurgaon: A 12-member team of the income tax department on Friday carried out a search and survey of the Wazirabad tehsil office, which handles registries and other records of some of the costliest property transactions in the city, and across the country. Officials told TOI that high-value property transactions, some amounting up to multi-million rupees, from the last six years are under scrutiny. The Wazirabad office is the largest revenue earner in Haryana and logs annual property registries up to Rs 25,000-30,000 crore. Areas such as Golf Course Road in Gurgaon fall under its jurisdiction. Accompanied by a police team, the I-T department started the survey early on Friday morning and asked the registrar to provide access to documents. Officials went through the records for the next 13 hours. An I-T department official said the tehsil office was not providing full and accurate information related to property transactions, causing financial losses to the department, which could not levy the mandated taxes. During registrations, PAN numbers of those involved in transactions were not properly filled, preventing the department from collecting taxes from buyers and sellers. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Buy Brass Idols - Handmade Brass Statues for Home & Gifting Luxeartisanship Buy Now Undo "The income tax department was not receiving accurate information. Information about registrations in the tehsil was superficial, and even when details were sent, PAN numbers were not available," the official, who was involved in Friday's survey, said. According to norms, tehsildars have to share details of registries above Rs 30 lakh with the I-T department. The district revenue department has to share details like the name, PAN card and Aadhaar card details of buyers and sellers too. "The disruption in sharing proper information by the revenue department about land transactions hampers our work," the I-T official said. Officials told TOI the search and survey was carried out on the direction of the I-T department's intelligence and criminal investigation wing in Chandigarh. The Wazirabad office came under the wing's scanner after coming across a case of a builder who had registered a farmhouse for Rs 200 crore there. Other than the Wazirabad office, other tehsils in Gurgaon, Faridabad and Palwal are under scrutiny too, they added. Asked about I-T department's action, deputy commissioner Ajay Kumar said on Friday that the govt agency is doing its job and the revenue department is providing all support required. Income Tax: Advance tax first instalment is due by June 15. Check if you are liable to pay
The Income Tax (I-T) department has shared a post reminding taxpayers that the last date to pay the first instalment of advance tax for financial year 2025-26 is June 15 i.e., this Saturday. For the uninitiated - advance tax is supposed to be paid by all taxpayers whose tax liability is more than ₹ 10,000 – be it salaried persons, freelancers or business owners. Notably, only 15 percent of total tax liability is supposed to be paid by June 15. It is worth mentioning that taxpayers are supposed to file income tax return (ITR) at the end of the financial year before July 31 (Sept 15 for this year), however, the tax liability needs to be cleared during the end of the year to avoid accruing interest on tax liability. Under section 234C of Income Tax (I-T) Act, taxpayers accrue interest at the rate of 1 percent per annum for unpaid tax liability. Payment of advance tax is imperative to avoid payment of this extra 1 percent which accumulates to 12 percent by the end of the year. Date Tax payable June 15 15 percent Sept 15 45 percent Dec 15 75 per cent March 15 100 percent For instance, someone has a total tax liability of ₹ 1 lakh during the year. As per the 15 percent advance tax deadline, s/he is supposed to pay ₹ 15,000 by June 15. Else, s/he will have to pay interest on tax liability when he files his return in July next year. Alternatively, if he clears his tax dues before advance tax deadlines, there will be no tax liability in July. And all he will have to do is file the return. The deadlines to pay advance tax are as follows: Taxpayers must pay 15 percent of total tax liability by June 15, 45 percent of tax by September 15, 75 percent of tax by Dec 15 and 100 percent by March 15. Overcoming labour shortage in Vietnam: Tra Ly Hung Yen Spinning
It's hard to find skilled operators for spinning mills in Vietnam. Rapid industrialization is creating competition for young talents and many workers choose roles in other industries. Customer Tra Ly Hung Yen has found a partner in Trützschler to help mitigate the effects of this labor shortage and enable successful operations. Tra Ly, facing labour shortages in Vietnam's spinning sector, partnered with Trí¼tzschler for automation solutions. With advanced machines like T-SCAN TS-T5, TC 19i, TD-10, and TCO 21XL, Tra Ly ensures consistent quality and higher productivity. Trí¼tzschler's local support and My Mill system further help Tra Ly stay competitive and future-ready. Traditionally, yarn manufacturers need many experienced and qualified workers. However, it is difficult to attract and retain these operators. In addition, raw material fluctuations add extra challenges for all spinners. In order to produce yarn with consistent quality, it is necessary to make precise adjustments to the processing system – and this requires trained employees. A major headache for businesses in quality-driven markets like Vietnam! Tra Ly is one of those businesses. The company's success is built on a longstanding reputation for quality, so labor shortages generated a potential threat to its future. The family-owned company mainly produces carded and combed cotton (Ne 20 to Ne 40) through standard and compact spinning methods. It has a production capacity of 60 tons per day, with half of that output exported to China, Pakistan or Bangladesh. To find a solution to its labor shortage, the Tra Ly team contacted its trusted partners at Trützschler. The answer from Trützschler: Highly automated, self-optimizing machinery that helps to maintain consistent quality – even when processing raw materials of varying qualities. This reduces the need for manual intervention. As Do Thi Lan Phuong, Director of Tra Ly, points out: 'Innovations from Trützschler offer efficient handling that frees up time for our employees. In this way, we are able to cope with labor shortages. These machines enable higher productivity, improved sliver evenness and more energy-efficient manufacturing. And working together with Trützschler is always a great experience because of their deep expertise, can-do attitude and positive energy.' Automatized and optimized Tra Ly now operates the following advanced technologies from Trützschler: 1. T-SCAN TS-T5: High-quality foreign part separation This foreign part separator uses state-of-the-art sensors and image-processing technology to detect foreign parts like stems, leaf fragments or other waste – and then automatically ejects them to minimize fiber loss. The highly efficient machine is also easy to clean and maintain, even when production is running. 2. The intelligent card TC 19i with T-GO Tra Ly is also benefiting from the TC 19i with T-GO, which is the world's only proven automatic gap optimizer for carding machines. It increases quality and flexibility by self-adjusting to ensure the best possible carding gap settings in real time, even when raw materials or other production conditions fluctuate. 3. Autoleveller Draw Frame TD-10 Automated functions like AUTO DRAFT and OPTI SET enable this draw frame to ensure excellent yarn quality by self-optimizing the break draft and drafting point in real time. These innovations help machine operators to adapt settings for various raw material types. 4. Boosting productivity: The 12-head comber TCO 21XL This machine increases productivity by about 50% because it operates 12 heads instead of a typical eight head setup, while delivering the same excellent quality. Features like COUNT MONITORING perform automatic checks on sliver count variations from a given limit, thus contributing to consistent quality. Local expertise and fast support Trützschler's local team of technical experts, along with its well-stocked spare parts inventory and repair facilities in Vietnam, ensure that Tra Ly maintains high levels of productivity with reliable quality. This expert team provides fast responses based on indepth knowledge. As a result, Tra Ly can rely on outstanding customer service – and downtime is kept to a minimum. The team from Trützschler is even available to suggest process improvements and potential digital optimizations. Fit for the future Tra Ly recently installed My Mill, Trützschler's mill monitoring system. Based on real-time data from My Mill, Trützschler experts can conduct digital audits to provide on-site guidance, training and troubleshooting. Trützschler is looking forward to continuing to support Tra Ly. The Vietnamese company is excited about the ongoing collaboration, too. 'Working together with Trützschler is always a great experience because of their deep expertise, can-do attitude, and positive energy,' says Do Thi Lan Phuong, Director of Tra Ly.
