Taylor Swift gushes over boyfriend Travis Kelce during album launch: ‘He's like a human exclamation point'

Taylor Swift has openly gushed over her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, as she made her podcasting debut on New Heights alongside his older brother, Jason Kelce.
During Wednesday's episode —which also featured the Grammy winner announcing her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl — the pair discussed their relationship and how it first started almost two years ago.
It all began when the Kansas City Chiefs tight end admitted on New Heights that he tried — and failed — to give Swift his number after attending one of her Eras Tour concerts. He revealed on July 26, 2023, that he made Swift a friendship bracelet, in line with Swiftie tradition, but he was left 'disappointed' when things didn't go according to plan.
'He didn't even reach out to our management... He thought that 'cause he knows the elevator lady, he could talk to her about just getting down to my dressing room,' the 'Karma' singer recalled.
Despite his initial failed attempt, the two later got together, where Swift admitted that during their first few dates, it 'kinda felt more like I was in an 80s John Hughes movie and he was standing outside my room with a boom box like 'I wanna date you!'
'I was like if this guy isn't crazy, which is a big if, this is sort of what I've been writing songs about wanting to happen to me since I was a teenager,' she said. 'I knew that he wasn't crazy the first couple of times that we talked, I was like he's truly getting to know me in a way that's very natural, very pure, very normal.'
'Just the way that he could make me laugh so immediately about normal things. Travis is a vibe booster in everyone's life that he's in. He's like a human exclamation point,' she added.
Travis also took the opportunity to praise his girlfriend as he told both the podcast listeners and her, 'She makes me so much better…It's like I've known you forever...it's like you've knocked my socks off.'
'She blew me away,' he added.
The couple first confirmed dating rumors in September 2023, when the 'Mean' singer attended a Chiefs game alongside Travis's mother, Donna, where she appeared to yell 'let's f***ing go' in response to his third-quarter touchdown reception.
Later, the two were filmed leaving Arrowhead Stadium together — with Kelce wearing a 1989-inspired denim outfit, no less. The two escaped the crowd in Kelce's convertible, according to photos and videos posted online, and he reportedly rented out a restaurant for a private, post-game celebration.

'Forget Taylor Swift's new album launch as eight words she said are life-changing'

Taylor Swift recently confirmed her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, will be released in October but in a recent interview, eight words she said really resonated with one journalist News of Taylor Swift's hotly anticipated 12th album has caused mass hysteria and, while this is a perfectly understandable and relatable response, I was recently more blown away by eight words she said during her first ever podcast appearance. The global superstar recently sat down with her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason on their hit podcast, New Heights. ‌ An absolute dream for Swifties all over the world - two hours of Taylor covering, in detail, many aspects and insights into her personal and professional life, alongside her 'human exclamation point' of a partner. Over her 20-year-career, the 35-year-old artist has been no stranger to interviews but a lengthy podcast appearance hadn't been on the cards until now. ‌ We got the massive news of the album reveal - The Life of a Showgirl will be released on October 3, 2025. The self-described numerology buff opted for this date - 10/3 - to link to her favourite number 13, while the 12 tracks mark the milestone of a twelfth album. ‌ Taylor also spoke about being able to buy her masters back, becoming emotional as she discussed the huge significance of a dream she's held since signing her first record deal as a teenager finally coming true. But it was her take on social media that really resonated with me. In a world dominated by a constant barrage of online content plagued by, sometimes, inescapable opinions, the iconic musician is relatively offline. And she offered a fresh and, in my opinion, life-changing perspective. She said: 'Think of your energy as if it's expensive.' As an anxious person who finds it all too easy to let negative comments run riot in my brain, this was an impressive and considered approach from arguably the most famous person in the world. Taylor was speaking about her friends and acquaintances who seem to respond similarly to me. ‌ She said: 'They'll see one comment they don't like and it'll ruin their day, it'll ruin their night and I just wanna say to them, you should think of your energy as if it's expensive, as if it's a luxury item. 'Not everyone can afford it, not everyone has invested in you in order to be able to have the capital for you to care about this. What you spend your energy on, that's the day.' Taylor Alison Swift, the woman that you are. I am going to carry this with me every day. ‌ Why do we allow ourselves to be so affected by comments from people who don't matter to us? Why do we fall into the trap of caring about nasty comments or warped opinions from strangers on the internet? Another saying I love - though this one wasn't coined by Swift - is 'never take criticism from someone you wouldn't go to for advice'. ‌ Taylor's words reminded me of this clever, helpful piece of advice for navigating an increasingly negative and critical world. To me, it also showed that despite her unfathomable star power which continues to rise; despite the accolades and achievements; and the worldwide obsession with every aspect of her life; she is, at her core, the same person who used to scour Tumblr in the early days of her career, connecting with fans and offering well thought out and considered advice. Her words didn't feel like they were coming from the biggest celebrity on the planet, they felt like those of a great friend who has your best interests at heart. ‌ Of course, Taylor Swift will never know I exist but I will carry her words with me forever. This segment of the podcast was shared on X, where fans shared their thoughts. One person said: 'There's a reason why she's called Dr Taylor Alison Swift." Another said: 'Ok fine [I'll] go and watch the best episode of the podcast again. I need my therapy session.' A third added: 'She's the icon of wisdom, what did you expect."

Mum-of-12 says ‘this wasn't my plan' after falling pregnant with ‘surprise' baby at 43, as she admits making key mistake

A MUM-OF-12 has admitted she was stunned when she discovered she was expecting her 13th baby aged 43. Carly and her pastor husband David have kids ranging in age from two all the way up to 23. 2 2 And after the birth of their youngest - daughter Rosalee - the couple were so "completely content with our even dozen" that Carly even gave away her "stock pile of 2 decades of maternity clothes and baby items". "We launched ourselves fully into our amazing life of children getting married, grandbabies, and living life to the fullest with all the other children still at home," she added in the caption of an Instagram post announcing the pregnancy. Carly went on to say she and David "took several measures" in terms of contraception to ensure they stayed "at an even dozen kiddos". And while "it worked for almost three years", it was when her hormones went "whacky" around two years ago that she made the decision to try and balance them naturally. "Well, it never dawned on me that balancing my hormones not only effected how I felt, but also my fertility!" she added. She insisted another baby is the "best kind of blessing" but also added she's still in shock, as she concluded: "This wasn't my plan for 2026, or any other year!" Carly is due in February 2026.
