Indian travel vlogger's amusing reel about a bus ride from New York to New Jersey, packed entirely with fellow Indians, has gone viral.
A light-hearted video by an Indian travel vlogger, Nitish Advitiy, has struck a chord with desis around the world. In a video making waves online, he shared that he found himself on a New York to New Jersey bus that felt more like a ride from New York to Chandigarh. The now-viral Instagram reel shows Nitish reacting in disbelief as he realises that almost everyone on board is Indian.
The overlay text on the clip cheekily reads, 'New York to Chandigarh—Direct Bus Service," offering a quirky lens into the growing Indian population in the US.
Vlogger says, 'Puri Bus Indians Se Bhari Hui Hai.'
In the video, Nitish delivers a humorous voiceover. He was heard saying, 'Mai ja raha hu New York se Changigarh. Oh, sorry, sorry, New Jersey. Ha bhai, aisa hi lag raha hai mujhe. Mere side me, mere aage, jitney bhi log mujhe dikh rahe hai. Koi Gujrati bol raha hai, koi Hindi aur koi Punjabi. Seriously, bhai, pure bus ke andar Indians bhare hue hai. (I am going from New York to Chandigarh. Oh, sorry, sorry, New Jersey. Yes, brother, it seems so to me. On my side, in front of me, are all the people I see. Some are speaking Gujarati, some Hindi, and some Punjabi. Seriously, brother, the entire bus is full of Indians."
After stepping off the bus, he added, 'Ye hai NJ Transit bus jo New York se New Jersey logo ke lekar aati hai. Bhai me hairan tha, puri ye bus Indians se bhari hui thi. (This is the transit bus that brings people from New York to New Jersey. Brother, I was surprised; this whole bus was full of Indians."
Why Does New Jersey Feel Like 'Little India"?
In his caption, Nitish provides context for his experience, explaining that New Jersey is home to a large Indian-American community. Middlesex County, especially towns like Edison and Iselin, is a major hub for Indian businesses along Oak Tree Road. This is the reason why the place has earned the nickname 'Little India," thanks to the vibrant Indian businesses and population.
He also mentions, 'The New York metropolitan area, which includes parts of New Jersey, also has a high concentration of Indian Americans, with some areas like Jersey City's India Square being known for their large Indian population."
The Internet Can't Stop Laughing
With over 62,000 views and counting, the Instagram reel has sparked a flood of hilarious reactions from social media users.
An Instagram user wrote, 'Unity hai bro," with a laughing emoticon.
'Not New Jersey, this is New India," joked a user.
Another quipped, 'This bus has more Indians than a local DTC in Delhi."
Some joined in saying, 'Just visit Northeastern. After a while, you'll feel like you're in Mumbai University."
'Bus mai koi aur Indian bhi apki video bana kar same baat keh raha hoga (There's probably another Indian on the bus making a video and saying the same thing)," another user remarked.
While this video left social media in splits, a few days ago, a woman's emotional plea to the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) left the internet in fury. The woman, currently residing in India, publicly urged to deport her husband, as he was fraudulently seeking asylum in the United States. He accused him of abandoning her and their 7-year-old daughter after moving to the US in 2022.

In her post, she claimed that her husband is now living in California and is eyeing getting a green card. Despite still being legally married to her, she said that he is either in a live-in relationship or attempting to remarry a US woman.

Indian company offers visas for ₹1: Is US visa available? What about UK, Schengen? All your questions, answered

Atlys gave visas for free last year. According to CEO Mohak Nahta, it was great for travellers, not so great for the team. This year, they're being 'less generous'. The travel tech company now offers visas for ₹ 1 only. Here's how it works: Atlys' offer is for Indian residents who have valid Indian passports and apply directly through the company website. It does not apply if you use an agent or a third party. You can apply for only one visa under this offer. If you add family members, regular visa charges will apply for them. The offer does not apply to group, bulk or business bookings. To apply, you must upload your valid Indian passport and a passport-size photo. Depending on the rules of the destination country, you should also upload other required documents like financial proof or travel bookings. The embassy sets document rules, not the company. So, if your documents are incorrect or incomplete, your visa may be rejected. Visa appointments are not guaranteed as slots are controlled by embassies. To get the ₹ 1 visa offer, you must complete and submit your application between August 4 (6 AM IST) and August 5 2025 (11:59 PM IST). Slots are not served on a first-come, first-served basis. It rather depends on who finishes the process first. Selfie verification on the company website is compulsory. For some e-Visa countries, ₹ 1 may cover both the Atlys service fee and the government fee. For in-person visa countries, only the Atlys fee is covered, unless mentioned otherwise. UK visas are fully covered as a special case. For US and Schengen visas, the ₹ 1 offer includes only the Atlys service and appointment fees. The applicant must pay government charges like visa and biometric fees. The list of countries included is available on the Atlys website. This offer is only for self-applications and may end anytime, depending on availability. Some destinations are not part of this offer due to low visa approval rates or limited appointment slots. You can check if your destination is included by visiting the country page on

Princess Diana's Lookalike Niece Lady Eliza Spencer Gets Engaged In Greece; See Pics

Last Updated: Lady Eliza Spencer, niece of Princess Diana, is engaged to Channing Millerd. Millerd proposed during their Santorini getaway, and Eliza shared loved-up images. Lady Eliza Spencer, niece and look-alike of the late Princess Diana, is officially engaged to her long-time South African partner, Channing Millerd. Their dreamy proposal during a getaway in Santorini has taken the internet by storm. The aristocrat, 33, announced the exciting news with a series of loved-up images from the special moment — which took place during the couple's recent getaway to Santorini, Greece. 'Forever and Ever," Spencer captioned the sweet Instagram post. In the images, Eliza can be seen flashing her diamond sparkler with the stunning views of the Aegean Sea in the background. One of the pictures also shows the romantic set-up, which includes a candle-lit dinner surrounded by flowers overlooking the caldera. However, amid the joyous moments and blessings for the couple, Eliza's father and brother of the late Princess Diana — Earl Charles Spencer — is missing. As per a report by New York Times, he has not publicly congratulated his daughter on the news. In an interaction with Hello Magazine in March, Eliza shared her plans for the wedding. 'We love the idea of a destination wedding," she said in March. 'We feel drawn to Italy, especially somewhere by the ocean — that feels so romantic to us. Spain has that same coastal charm we adore." 'At the same time, Amelia and Greg's wedding in Cape Town was unforgettable, and South Africa will always be home," she added. view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Trying to motivate people to visit J&K: Omar

Chief minister Omar Abdullah, who was in Gujarat to promote J&K tourism, said that post the Pahalgam attack, tourist places have been secured in Kashmir and only those places which haven't been cleared by security are closed. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah pays tribute to Mahatma Gandhi during a visit to the Sabarmati Ashram, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. (PTI) Omar on Friday while concluding a two-day tour of Gujarat said he is trying to motivate people of different parts of the country to visit J&K as tourism is the backbone of the economy of the UT. 'In the immediate aftermath of the Pahalgam attack, almost all our tourist destinations were closed for a security audit. We only started reopening them once we were satisfied with the results of that audit,' he said. He added that several tourist places which haven't been cleared by security agencies are still closed. Omar earlier had told mediapersons that even those who were responsible for the attack on tourists were killed. 'They were killed not in the city or close to tourist places but in a far off place,' he said while making his point that Kashmir is a safe tourist destination now. He said that he is trying to motivate people to visit J&K as our economy is relying on the tourism sector.' On Friday, Omar also visited Sabarmati Ashram and said his Ahmedabad visit is now complete. 'My visit to Ahmedabad is now complete. I feel both humbled & privileged to have been shown around the Sabarmati Ashram of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. His teachings ring true even today & point us in the direction we should take but seldom do,' J&K chief minister wrote on X. On Thursday, Omar Abdullah visited Sabarmati River Front promenade and Statue of Unity and praised this place. 'While in #Ahmedabad for a tourism event I took advantage of being here to get my morning run at the famed Sabarmati River Front promenade. It's one of the nicest places I've been able to run & it was a pleasure to get to share it with so many other walkers/runners. I even managed to run past the amazing Atal Foot Bridge,' Omar wrote on X while sharing his jogging pictures which even caught the attention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Good to see Omar enjoying visit to Statue of Unity: PM 'Kashmir to Kevadia! Good to see Shri Omar Abdullah Ji enjoying his run at the Sabarmati Riverfront and visiting the Statue of Unity. His visit to SoU gives an important message of unity and will inspire our fellow Indians to travel to different parts of India,' Modi said on X. Omar on Thursday evening inaugurated a high-profile roadshow and business meet in Ahmedabad, aimed at strengthening tourism and trade ties between Jammu & Kashmir and Gujarat. The event brought together stakeholders from Gujarat and Jammu & Kashmir to foster partnerships in tourism, trade, and business innovation. 'Jammu & Kashmir is open for business,' said the CM, adding, 'And we welcome our friends from Gujarat to explore, invest, and be part of our growth story.' Parra questions Omar's visit to Statue of Unity PDP legislative party leader Waheed ur Rehman Parra on Friday questioned Omar's visit to Gujarat's 'Statue of Unity' monument saying 'that if any other leader from Kashmir would have visited the statue, the NC would have branded them as BJP or RSS agents'. Parra who is legislator from Pulwama alleged that NC has a legacy of shifting definitions in power since 1932. 'True, sir. The transition from @RahulGandhi's Bharat Jodo as the symbol of unity to the Prime Minister's Statue of Unity makes the emancipation clear. Until you attain power, Congress & INDIA alliance are your definitions of unity. Yet, if any Kashmiri party or leader nears the statue, you'd waste no time in branding them as 'Sanghi' or 'Nagpuri.' Your shifting definitions in power & while chasing it remain the only legacy of NC since 1932,' Para wrote on X while reacting to J&K chief minister's post on X. Travel broadens horizons and mind: Omar Omar while addressing PM Modi said travel broadens the horizons and mind. 'I'm a firm believer that travel broadens the horizons & the mind @narendramodi ji. It's especially important for us in J&K as tourism is a crucial part of our economy & has the potential to gainfully employ lakhs of people. That's why I & my colleagues are trying to convince more of our fellow Indians to visit J&K, especially after the tragic events earlier this year,' Omar wrote on X.
