Who is representing Great Britain at Eurovision 2025?
The Sun exclusively revealed in February 2025 that the UK would be represented at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest by girl group Remember Monday.
Made up of members Lauren Byrne, Holly-Anne Hull and Charlotte Steele, the country-pop trio may be new to Eurovision, but this isn't the first time they've performed on a big stage.
The girl band performed in front of Olly Murs, Will.i.am, Jennifer Hudson and Sir Tom Jones when they took part in The Voice 2019.
Remember Monday has also performed at several major UK events including Country to Country, The Long Road and Buckle and Boots.
They previously supported Billy Joel and Natasha Beddingfield on tour — before embarking on their very own UK tour.
Joining Scott Mills on BBC Radio 2, band member Lauren Bryne explained: "We met at sixth form college a few years ago and, essentially, we always had free periods on a Monday which is when we just used to get together and sing.
Lauren continued: ''That turned into us singing every single day of the week and not going to our classes and our teacher used to come and find us in random spare classrooms and knock on the door and be like, 'Girls are you coming into class today?' and we were like, 'No Jenny, we're just going to stay in here, sorry!'
"So we did that for years and years and it kind of became a little in joke that it was always happening on a Monday so that's where Remember Monday was born and, yeah, about a year and a bit ago, we packed in the day job and went full time and it's going OK! [laughs]. Here we are.''

France, The Netherlands and Spain tied with The UK on 18 points and there were no rules in place to decide an overall winner.
All four countries were declared winners but Finland, Norway, Sweden and Portugal did not participate in the 1970 Contest as a protest against the result the following year.
The rules were then changed to make sure the situation never happened again.

Cilla Black is 'irreplaceable' — but Blind Date fans want these new reboot hosts
Iconic British TV show Blind Date is rumoured to be returning, and Metro readers have shared their dream presenters. The game show, which was hosted by Cilla Black, saw one hopeful single introduced to three members of the opposite sex with the aim of securing a date with one of them by the end of the show. The twist? The three potential suitors were hidden behind a sliding wall. The contestant asked three questions of the hidden singletons and used their answers to decide who to take on a date. Blind Date aired between 1985 and 2003 on ITV, though it had a brief revival on Channel 5 for two years in 2017, when Paul O'Grady took on hosting duties. Now, according to The Sun, the reality show is set to get a new home on Disney Plus, with an insider saying: 'Although there's likely to be some modern twists, the bosses very much want to keep the essence of the original. 'There'll be key elements returning, including the famous sliding wall. 'Plus, there will be a prize up for grabs of a wedding package, which echoes Cilla's famous gag whenever couples had enjoyed a successful date, and she used to ask, 'Do I need to buy an 'at for the wedding?'' It's not the first time reports of a Blind Date revival have surfaced, but so far nothing has been confirmed by Disney Plus. That hasn't stopped the rumour mill, however, and producers are said to be eyeing up Claudia Winkleman, Holly Willoughby and Davina McCall to host. We asked Metro readers to tell us who they want to see front a potential Blind Date revival, and a few notable names were mentioned several times. Malcolm Edward Young said: 'Alan Carr would be great, I can just hear him saying surprise surprise chuck.' Francis Linsey echoed: 'Alan Carr would be fab, I would definitely watch it if he was to present it,' while Jenni Hodgkinson added, 'Alan Carr would be good. Needs someone funny.' Alan Carr and Cilla Black appeared on screen together when she appeared on the 2009 Christmas special of his talk show, Alan Carr: Chatty Man. Rachael Espin said the comedian would be a great replacement for original host Cilla, writing: 'Alan Carr or Rylan Clark because I think they'd do Cilla Black justice'. And she wasn't the only person to tip former X Factor star Rylan for the role… On Reddit, Iam_The_Lizard_Queen wrote: 'Rylan was actually the first person I thought of, do actually think he'd be good for it'. Madamemercury1993 echoed: 'Rylan would be good! He's genuinely a funny guy fueled off innuendo. But genuinely seems to like interacting with regular folks.' Meanwhile, Unusual_Rope7110 said: 'Rylan would work well' and Debra Bishop added, 'Rylan Clarke would be hilarious'. Recently, Rylan was a Eurovision commentator alongside Scott Mills, and he has also presented Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two, Supermarket Sweep, The One Show and This Morning. Metro's Ellie Hutchings has shared who she'd like to see take on hosting duties, should Blind Date return: 'Whoever fronts the Blind Date reboot will have big shoes to fill — Cilla Black was revered for her cheeky charm and effortless rapport with contestants. 'For me, Rylan Clark is the best fit. His infectious energy, razor-sharp wit and natural warmth are all reminiscent of the iconic Cilla. 'Plus, having interviewed people from all walks of life on TV shows such as Big Brother's Bit on the Side and This Morning, I'm sure he'll make the contestants feel at ease (going on a reality dating show is an incredibly vulnerable situation to put yourself in, after all). 'Having spoken openly in the past about his own experiences of love and identity, including his struggles following his divorce from Dan Neal and discussing modern masculinity in his podcast How to be a Man, I'm confident he can bring a fresh approach to the iconic reality show.' Another popular presenter du jour, Bake Off and This Morning's Alison Hammond was touted by fans as the perfect Blind Date presenter. Wesley Bear wrote: 'She is hilarious without trying to be. And would certainly fit the ethos of the show I believe.' Gordon Smith added: 'I think Allison Hammond is almost a shoo-in,' while Tony Finch simply said, 'Can only be Alison Hammond!' Alison's infectious laugh and down-to-earth personality have made her a firm favourite among TV fans since first appearing on Big Brother in 2002. And funnily enough, she previously revealed she almost chose appearing on Blind Date over the Channel 4 show. The Chase's Bradley Walsh received heaps of recommendations from Blind Date fans, with Jessica Jane Peers praising the presenter as 'completely hard to dislike'. He's hosted the enduringly popular ITV game show The Chase since 2009, and in 2024, it won the TV Choice award and NTA for Best Game Show. Many suggested Bradley Walsh should present Blind Date in tandem with one of his peers. Rachel Slucock said: 'Bradley Walsh or David Walliams, both would be hilarious,' and Anjii Cooper wrote: 'Bradley Walsh or Lee Mack, they would have a laugh'. Melle John added: 'It can only be Bradley Walsh or Stephen Mulhern. Yes they do get all the jobs. Cause they're good.' Speaking of Stephen Mulhern, the presenter was named by several Metro readers as their ideal Blind Date host. He's previously presented Dancing on Ice and Britain's Got More Talent, and is no stranger to a game show reboot, as the presenter of revived versions of Catchphrase and Deal or No Deal. Recommending him for Blind Date, Dave Butler said: 'Stephen Mulhurn, funny man BUT knows where to draw the line.' Victoria Hamilton echoed: 'Stephen Mulhern would be amazing at this,' while Tracy Purches suggested, 'Stephen Mulhern with the narrator from Come Dine with Me as 'our Graham''. 'Our Graham' was how Cilla referred to Graham Skidmore, who provided the voice-over for Blind Date. He died in 2021 at age 90. Jane McDonald, who fans may recognise from ITV's Loose Women as well as her Channel 5 travel show, Cruising with Jane McDonald, is another popular choice. Anne-Sarah Cassidy said: 'Jane McDonald would do a brilliant job,' and Tina Smith echoed, 'Jane McDonald would be great'. Carol Davies simply said: 'I think Jane McDonald would fit the part'. Jane has most recently hosted the British Soap Awards on ITV on June 5. And plenty of other popular presenters were named by Blind Date fans too. June Rae Elvidge said: 'First I thought Graham Norton, but for a laugh I thought how about Jeremy Clarkson? Or even Richard Hammond…it might be worth a giggle'. IshamaelSunSoar added: 'Davina [McCall] would be my first choice but would like to see Holly [Willoughby] come back and do more TV too'. And Paul Stables wrote: 'Claudia Winkleman, love her sense of humour on Strictly, she makes that show. You'll never replace Cilla though, that scouse/northern humour.' Paul certainly isn't the only Blind Date fan who felt no one could live up to the iconic Cilla Black, who passed away age 72 in 2015. Carl Turner said: 'No one is good enough to replace OUR CILLA… She was everything that kept us glued to our TV screens every Saturday night'. More Trending Samantha Cunningham agreed, writing: 'Can't imagine anybody being as good as our Cilla'. Meanwhile, others were keen to see fresh faces host the revival. Cindy Sanderson said: 'Someone totally new!! Get some open auditions out there, we need fresh new talent!' View More » And Karen King echoed: 'A fresh new up and coming presenter. Give them a chance to show their talent. Stop giving the new roles to already set up presenters.' Got a story? Fans stunned by Celine Dion appearance at Coldplay concert amid stiff-person syndrome battle
Celine Dion sent fans into a frenzy as she made a surprise appearance at Coldplay 's Las Vegas concert over the weekend amid her ongoing health battle with stiff-person syndrome. The Grammy winner, 57 - who recently shared a moving message amid Eurovision's semi-finals - was spotted in the stands at Allegiant Stadium and received a sweet serenade from Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. In a TikTok video taken by one of the concertgoers, a camera panned to the songstress at one point during the evening - causing the crowd to break out into loud cheers and applause. Dion became emotional as she took in the warm reception and stood up to send a friendly wave before placing a hand over her heart. The Fix You hitmaker then began to give a special shoutout to the star as he sang, 'Oh Celine, my beautiful sister. You make my heart go on and on. 'Near. Far. You're a total superstar. Let's hear it for the legendary Celine Dion!' Martin concluded. She also appeared to be accompanied by her three sons Rene-Charles, 24, and twins Nelson and Eddy, 14 - whom she welcomed with late husband Rene Angelil. Another snippet showed Celine dancing on her feet as the band performed one of their hit tracks. Dion wore a pair of blue glasses as she grooved to the upbeat song and was also filmed making a heart symbol with her hands towards nearby fans. The Power Of Love songstress also shared photos from her time at the concert to both her Instagram and X accounts. In the caption, she penned to her followers: 'What an unforgettable evening with @Coldplay at @AllegiantStadium…My heart is still singing! 'A heartfelt thanks to the band and their amazing team for welcoming my family with warmth and kindness. It was all…fantastique❤️.' Social media users flocked to the comment section of the posts to share their excitement over seeing Dion at the concert with her children. One penned, 'What a special night! Long live the Queen of Vegas. We miss you!!' 'This is how you respect legends,' another penned as they referenced to the standing ovation Dion received as well as Chris Martin's tribute. During the concert, Dion put on a stylish display wearing a chic gray suit while her locks were pulled back into a sleek bun. Back in 2022, Celine revealed her stiff-person syndrome diagnosis and canceled her remaining tour dates at the time. Stiff-person syndrome is a rare neurological disorder which 'causes muscle stiffness and painful spasms that come and go and can worsen over time,' per John Hopkins Medicine. In a video uploaded to her Instagram page, the singer had emotionally explained, 'Unfortunately, these spasms affect every aspect of my daily life. 'Sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I'm used to.' Dion added, 'I'm working hard with my sports medicine therapist every day to build back my strength and my ability to perform again, but I have to admit it's been a struggle. 'All I know is singing. It's what I've done all my life, and it's what I love to do the most,' the mom-of-three continued. Last year in May, Celine gave a health update during an interview with Vogue and expressed that her 'happiness has come back.' She continued, 'It has been a big burden on my shoulders, and a lot of that weight's now I can just focus on reality. That's wonderful.' And during an appearance on Today also last year, the performer stated, 'I believe in myself, in my bravery' while adding that she will not let the disorder 'control my life'; seen above at 2024 Grammy Awards in L.A. And during an appearance on Today also last year, the performer stated, 'I believe in myself, in my bravery' while adding that she will not let the disorder 'control my life.' 'I'm going to come onstage because I'm ready. And my vocal cords will not scare me because I'm going to be ready, and I'm going to hit those notes.' Celine - whose experience with the disease was shown in her documentary I Am: Celine Dion - gave a moving performance at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics as she belted out L'Hymne à L'Amour by Edith Piaf. She also presented the Album of the Year award to Taylor Swift at the 2024 Grammy Awards.

Netflix fans urged to watch 'incredible' new movie with shock twist
Fans of Netflix have been urged to watch the thriller Straw following its recent addition to the streaming service. Written, directed and produced by Alex Cross star Tyler Perry, the film stars Taraji P. Henson as a single mother who becomes embroiled in a sequence of terrible and violent events as she struggles to care for her ill daughter. The film also stars Jingle All the Way actor and comedian Sinbad, and Precious actress Sherri Shepherd. Released on the streaming service on June 6, the film has already picked up traction among viewers, swiftly moving up the charts to become the platform's most streamed movie in the UK this weekend. Emerging to strong word of mouth from audiences, it has already been described as one of the director's best films to date (admittedly, this mixed-bag of a catalogue does include his Madea and Mrs. Brown's Boys crossover). Wake up to find news on your TV shows in your inbox every morning with Metro's TV Newsletter. Sign up to our newsletter and then select your show in the link we'll send you so we can get TV news tailored to you. Viewers were particularly vocal about its 'heartbreaking' ending – which featured a twist to the tale which will ensure Straw won't be forgotten in a hurry. After watching, fans took to social media to share their thoughts on what they had just witnessed. 'Straw is such a humbling movie. The rawness was so real and the plot twist was crazy,' wrote she_mego on X. 'What a walk through emotions @tylerperry's STRAW. The plot twist at the end wallowed me up. A good watch indeed!' exclaimed sandra_buma. 'After watching Straw, I no longer know how my heart is feeling. When what gave you purpose is suddenly gone. It speaks to a pain that's hard to name. Raw, emotional, and deeply human. Kudos to the writer… truly outdone🖤' said david_harris_r. 'Tyler Perrys STRAW absolutely incredible i literally cried blown away!' said MelisaWhiskey. From its reviews, critics heaped praise upon star Taraji, with Screen Rant describing her performance as 'an acting masterclass.' 'Straw has a cultural pulse-taking urgency that lifts it above [Tyler Perry's] usual run of comedies and melodramatic potboilers, flawed as it is,' wrote Dennis Harvey of Variety. Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly described the film's emotions as 'so raw and the performances are so earnest that you've really got to have a heart of stone not to care for these people.' Award-winning Taraji – nominated Best Supporting Actress for her performance in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button at 2008's Oscars – previously starred in hit movies The Color Purple and Hidden Figures. Her performance in the film comes two years after she spoke out on the issue of inequality in pay for Hollywood's women of colour. 'I'm just tired of working so hard, being gracious at what I do, getting paid a fraction of the cost,' she told Gayle King on SiriusXM Radio. 'I'm tired of hearing my sisters saying the same thing over and over. You get tired. I hear people go, 'You work a lot.' I have to – the math ain't mathing. 'And when you start working a lot, you have a team. Big bills come with what we do. We don't do this alone. The fact that we're up here, there's a whole entire team behind us. They have to get paid. 'When you hear people saying, 'Oh, such and such made $10million.' That didn't make it to their account. Know that off the top, Uncle Sam is getting 50%. Do the math. 'Now we have $5million – your team is getting 30% off of what you gross, not after what Uncle Sam took. Now do the math.' As the interview went viral, fans and peers in the acting community shared messages of support. 'Not a damn lie told. Not. A. Damn. Lie. We go TO BAT for the next generation and hell even our own generation and above,' wrote Gabrielle Union in response. More Trending 'We don't hesitate to be the change that we all need to see AND it takes a toll on your mind, health, soul, and career if we're keepn it [100]. [Love] u @tarajiphenson. [sic]' 'We feel you, @tarajiphenson and we love you. It's a fight we ALL are waging,' agreed Community star Yvette Nicole Brown. 'For ourselves and for the ones coming up after us. This mess sucks!' Straw is now streaming on Netflix. Got a story?
