"What Lies Beneath" TV Series in Works
Robert Zemeckis' 2000 supernatural horror thriller "What Lies Beneath," starring Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer, is heading to the small screen as the latest Hollywood blockbuster to be getting a TV adaptation.
The synopsis for the movie reads: "It had been a year since Dr. Norman Spencer (Harrison Ford) betrayed his beautiful wife Claire (Michelle Pfeiffer). But with Claire oblivious to the truth, Norman's life and marriage seem so perfect that when Claire tells him of hearing mysterious voices and seeing a young woman's image in their home, he dismisses her terror as delusion. Claire moves closer to the truth and it becomes clear that this apparition will not be dismissed, and has come back for Dr. Spencer and his beautiful wife."
Mark Johnson, who is well known for producing features like The Chronicles of Narnia trilogy, Rain Man, The Notebook and more, said the property as one of several projects being considered for TV adaptation.
We're very excited about the idea of maybe doing a television show — I'm not sure I should say this but I'm going to — our movie What Lies Beneath, that could lend itself to a very good, perhaps limited, perhaps not, TV show," he told
Deadline
.
Johnson has been part of the production team for some of AMC's biggest hits over the last two decades, and that doesn't seem about to change as he has recently penned a renewal of his first-look deal with AMC Studios.
Currently, one of his biggest roles is overseeing the Anne Rice universe that has delivered "Interview With the Vampire" and "The Mayfair Witches", and even as he turns 80 this year, the producer has no plans to step away from making shows he loves.
He added in his interview: 'Why wouldn't I be at AMC? They truly celebrate the story. You look at the success they've had, it is still very much the leader and the benchmark: good writing, good characters and good television.'

Palestinian PM Arrives in Cairo to Discuss Gaza Ceasefire, Reconstruction Efforts
Nada Mustafa The media office of Palestinian Prime Minister (PM) Dr. Mohammad Mustafa announced his arrival in Cairo to discuss halting the Israeli aggression on Gaza. He is scheduled to meet today with Egyptian PM Dr. Mostafa Madbouly during his official visit to Egypt, where talks will focus on ending the assault on Gaza and advancing reconstruction plans for the Strip. According to the statement, Dr. Mohammad Mustafa will also meet with Egyptian Foreign Minister (FM) Badr Abdelatty at the Cabinet headquarters to discuss the catastrophic humanitarian and medical situation in Gaza, as well as Egypt's ongoing efforts to achieve a ceasefire and secure the entry of humanitarian aid into the enclave. The media office further revealed that Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa and Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty will hold a joint press conference tomorrow, Monday, at the Rafah border crossing, following an inspection of the crossing facilities and warehouses designated for humanitarian and relief aid storage for Gaza. The visit will also include a tour of the field hospital operating in the area. Both sides are expected to discuss preparations for convening an international conference on Gaza's reconstruction once the aggression ends, while updating joint plans to ensure rapid humanitarian response, economic recovery, and rebuilding efforts that would thwart any displacement schemes. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated

Protests Erupt Outside Israeli Ministers' Homes Demanding Release of Hostages
Ahmed Emam Israeli media reported on Saturday that demonstrations broke out outside the homes of several government ministers, including Foreign Minister Israel Katz, with protesters demanding the immediate release of hostages held in Gaza, according to Alqahera News. The protests reflect growing public anger and pressure on the Israeli government as families of hostages and supporters call for swifter action to secure their release. In response, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich criticized the demonstrations, warning that they could undermine national security. He said the protests 'push Israel toward surrender and endanger its security and future.' Smotrich further argued that the rallies ultimately 'serve Hamas and will not bring back the hostages,' urging unity and resilience instead of public dissent. The demonstrations come as the government faces mounting challenges in balancing military operations in Gaza with increasing domestic pressure to prioritize the fate of the hostages. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated
