NBA Star Kevin Durant Says Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl Halftime Show ‘Meant Nothing to' Him
Kevin Durant wasn't too enthralled with Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl Halftime Show. When asked about Lamar's performance on Monday (Feb. 10), the Phoenix Suns star called the day 'boring' and said it was of little interest to him.
'It meant nothing to me,' he said to reporter Dana Scott. 'No thoughts — I didn't really pay attention to it to be honest. It was a little boring day for a Super Bowl. The game got out of hand. The Super Bowl Halftime Show — I didn't pay attention to it. I kinda skimmed through the whole thing, to be honest.'

With Durant being a diehard Washington Commanders fan, who lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship, and a vocal Drake supporter, Super Bowl LIX wasn't exactly the broadcast geared toward him.
The Super Bowl scoreboard doesn't do the game justice, as the Eagles blew out defending champions Kansas City Chiefs more than the 40-22 final score indicated on Sunday (Feb. 9) in New Orleans.
Durant has been tight with Drake for years now. KD even earned an A&R credit on Drizzy's 2023 For All the Dogs album, and he spent some time with the 6 God in Toronto over the summer.
'Whenever Drake just wants to talk about life I'm there for him and he just gave me that title,' the Suns star previously said of his A&R role with Drake.
It appears Drake may have sent some records from the $ome $exy $ongs 4 U collab project with PartyNextDoor to Durant before the album arrives on Friday (Feb. 14). Durant championed the effort and deemed that Drizzy and PND have a 'classic otw' with the project.
Drake dropped off another snippet from $$$4U along with showcasing the joint project's snowy cover art on Tuesday (Feb. 11). The cover features Drizzy and PND in fur coats backed by the Absolute Towers in Mississauga.

Can The Falcons Overtake The Buccaneers For The NFC South?
Can The Falcons Overtake The Buccaneers For The NFC South? originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Falcons were two games behind the Buccaneers in the standings event though the Falcons were 2-0 against their division rival. With the youth of the Panthers and the quarterback dilemma of the Saints, the Falcons are the main competition for the Bucs, and it will be an interesting battle in 2025. Advertisement It is very important for the Falcons to not drop certain games, especially against division rivals. The NFC has been dominant and it's the kind of conference that is requiring at least 10-11 win to have a shot at making the playoffs. Feb 25, 2025; Indianapolis, IN, USA; Atlanta Falcons coach Raheem Morris speaks during the NFL Scouting Combine at the Indiana Convention Lee-Imagn Images The team has improved over the last few seasons, and they believe that the team they have now is the one that can get them over the hump. The playoffs have eluded the Falcons since 2017, and with Raheem Morris as coach they hope that the improvement reaches an all-time high. The Bucs have won the NFC South every year since 2021, and even when they were second in the division, they ended up winning the Super Bowl. The Falcons must step up and take that crown from them, and they must utilize all their weapons and step up on defense. Advertisement There are still many questions that the Falcons have not answered yet, those include the statuses of Kirk Cousins and Kyle Pitts. There is still a long way to go until the start of the season. The Falcons are hoping to finally get back to the playoffs, and 2025 is the year to do it. They had a successful draft and a good offseason overall. Suns May Make Major Decision on Devin Booker This Offseason
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The Phoenix Suns are among the handful of teams expected to make a significant roster moves. The Suns are coming off a season in which they failed to meet expectations, resulting in a disappointing season for Phoenix. However, the Suns are hoping that their future is bright. Phoenix hired its 23rd head coach in franchise history, Jordan Ott. Ott will try to lead Phoenix back to the heights they reached during the 2020-21 season, but it may take some time. The Suns are expected to make some huge moves this summer, but one of those may not include their superstar guard Devin Booker. According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the Suns are expected to make a seismic contract offer to Booker this summer. Photo byREPORT: The Suns are expected to offer Devin Booker a 2-year, $150M extension, per @TheSteinLine. ( — Legion Hoops (@LegionHoops) June 8, 2025 The future of Booker in Phoenix was a bit unclear, but it appears that the Suns will do all they can to keep him in the Valley of the Sun for the foreseeable future. Booker becomes eligible for a two-year, $150 million extension on July 6, and all signs point to the 28-year-old locking in that massive deal once the window opens. Booker is coming off a season in which he was healthy and played like his All-Star self. In 75 games, the former Kentucky Wildcat averaged 25.3 points per game, 7.1 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 0.9 steals while shooting 46.1 percent from the field and 33.2 percent from beyond the arc. It's clear Phoenix still values Booker as a centerpiece, and they'll have the chance to show it in just a few weeks. This massive extension wouldn't just keep him under contract through the 2029-30 season — it would further cement his legacy as a Suns icon and long-term franchise pillar. Will Kevin Durant Remain in Phoenix? While this is good news for the Suns, it could spell trouble for Kevin Durant's time in Phoenix. The expectation for Durant and the Suns is that he will be traded as the offseason looms. Not only is Booker younger, but he is their first great, home-grown Sun in a long time. That is not the case with Durant, and that may be one of the many reasons why the front office will be willing to trade him this summer. Even at 36 years old, Durant will demand a massive package in return that the Suns could and should benefit from. Booker has played all 10 seasons with the Suns. In his career, he averages 24.4 points per game, 5.2 assists and 4.0 rebounds in 673 games. Dolphins legend comments on Aaron Rodgers signing with Steelers
Dolphins legend comments on Aaron Rodgers signing with Steelers Few know the intricacies of playing the quarterback position better than Dolphins legend Dan Marino. The Hall of Famer joined "The Pomp and Joe Show" on 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh last week to promote the Joe Moore Offensive Line Camp from West Allegheny High School in Pennsylvania. Marino broached a number of subjects, including his thoughts on the Pittsburgh Steelers potentially bringing in quarterback Aaron Rodgers. "If it happens, I still think Aaron has some game. You know he does. He can throw it as good as anybody ever has thrown the football. If his mind's into it and he's ready to go and that works, I don't think it would be an issue with the Steelers. "But, you've got to have someone that really wants to play there and he's getting older. So, I don't know what his mindset is. But, he does still have talent," Marino said. Of course, Rodgers has since signed with the Steelers on a one-year, $13.65 million deal that includes $10 million guaranteed and that could be worth up to $19.5 million. Rodgers passed for 3,897 yards and 28 touchdowns against 11 interceptions last season with the New York Jets, but the Jets finished just 5-12. Now, Pittsburgh is banking on Rodgers elevating the Steelers from the wild card team they were a season ago and into a bonafide Super Bowl contender. The Steelers finished 10-7 during the 2024 regular season to grab second place in the AFC North before falling to the Baltimore Ravens in an AFC wild card game.
