Kansas City Chiefs' 'Defensive Triplets' Disrespected in NFL Rankings
Kansas City Chiefs' 'Defensive Triplets' Disrespected in NFL Rankings originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Kansas City Chiefs hope to rebound from a disappointing loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX just four months ago. Advertisement The defense will look different as there have been additions and subtractions, mostly part of general manager Brett Veach's plan to get better. But it's three familiar faces that show up on SI's "defensive triplets" rankings, where the Chiefs' trio of Chris Jones, Nick Bolton and Trent McDuffie show up at No. 6, inside the top 10 but not in the first five, which is curious. 6. Kansas City Chiefs Triplets: Chris Jones, Nick Bolton, Trent McDuffie "Jones again played like the best defensive tackle in the NFL. His elite performances helped the Chiefs make the Super Bowl for the third consecutive season. McDuffie had no trouble playing on the outside full-time, and Bolton's consistency was rewarded with a three-year, $45 million extension." Advertisement Jones, the six-time Pro Bowler, posted 37 tackles with 19 solo and nine for loss with five sacks, a forced fumble and 20 QB hits. That's his lowest sack total since he registered two in his rookie year in 2016. In his fourth season last year, Bolton amassed 106 total tackles with 73 solo and 11 for loss. He added a career-high three sacks, an interception, six passes defended and two fumble recoveries with one forced fumble. McDuffie posted 59 total tackles with 45 solo and six for loss with half a sack and four QB hits across 16 games. He added a pair of interceptions, 13 passes defended and a forced fumble. If the Chiefs are going to bounce back from a disappointing end to the 2024 campaign, then it will be partly due to the play of their "defensive triplets." Taylor Swift Dance Wedding Video with Travis Kelce Reveals Unmatched Vibe
Taylor Swift Dance Wedding Video with Travis Kelce Reveals Unmatched Vibe originally appeared on Athlon Sports. One thing we know about Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is that he likes to have fun, and it appears he's found the perfect partner to have said fun with: Taylor Swift. Having been dating for over two years, Travis and Taylor hit their first rough patch after the Super Bowl loss and retreated out of the public eye. However, over the past week, it seems they are slowly re-emerging, with the pair spotted on a date night and, most recently, at Travis' cousin's wedding in Tennessee. We have seen pictures of the pair celebrating the wedding, and now, a video has emerged of the couple watching on as the bride and groom shared what we think was their first dance. In the video posted to social media Kelce and Swift were seen dancing and grooving in their seats, with Travis noticeably having his hand on Taylor's knee/leg the whole time. The vibes are unmatched. Often unable to go anywhere without a host of fans swarming them and cameras going off everywhere, the wedding felt like a welcome change of pace for the high-profile couple. It was a relaxed atmosphere; guests didn't crowd the couple, making it uncomfortable. Instead, both Travis and Taylor were able to do their own thing and pose for photos with guests and others. Hence, that is likely why they felt like they could be themselves and have a good time because they didn't have to worry about being swarmed. And it shows, with Taylor and Travis finally able to act like a "normal" couple in public and enjoy spending time together. Jason Kelce Reveals the Truth on Major Personal Decision
Jason Kelce Reveals the Truth on Major Personal Decision originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Jason Kelce has been doing a lot since he retired from the Philadelphia Eagles in 2024. Since then, the Super Bowl-winning center has gotten himself a deal with ESPN as a football analyst, which also gave birth to his own talk show on the esteemed sports network, "They Call It Late Night With Jason Kelce." Advertisement On top of that, the 37-year-old also runs a very successful podcast with his brother, Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs, entitled "New Heights." Kelce has also ventured into multiple businesses. Apart from being a part-owner of Cincinnati, Ohio-based alcoholic beverage company Garage Beer, the NFL icon also decided to invest in his passion for golf. In May, Kelce was officially announced as a part-owner of the Sullivan County Golf Club in Liberty, New York. The seven-time Pro Bowl center joined actor Bill Murray and entrepreneur Mike Madden, the son of NFL legend Mike Madden, among others, as part of the golf club's high-profile ownership group. In a recent interview, Kelce opened up about his major personal decision to invest in Sullivan County. According to the former Eagles star, it was renowned golf writer and editor Tom Coyne who paved the way for him. Advertisement "So Tom and I played golf and did a podcast that he has," Kelce said, via kelcebrothers on Instagram. "And we just kind of got to know each other through that. "And, you know, I've been getting more involved with golf. I'm doing some stuff with my nonprofit, Underdog ... But (I've) been working with Tom and doing some things on that front. Jason Kelce on the ESPN postseason countdown set.© Kirby Lee-Imagn Images "And then he all of a sudden tells me, 'Hey, do you want to go play a hoopie with Bill Murray?' I'm like, '(Expletive) Yeah, I want to go play a hoopie with Bill Murray.' And that's when we kind of got to talking. "It sounded like this nine-hole course up in the Catskills in Sullivan County was going to be pretty killer. ... From there, we kind of came together, and now we've got a golf course." Advertisement While it was not disclosed how much Kelce invested in this new business venture, there's no denying that purchasing a stake in a golf course had to burn a hole in his pockets. However, as Kelce said during the announcement, his relationship with the sport of golf has grown over the past few years, and he came to the conclusion that it was due time to make "a long-term commitment" by putting his money where his mouth is.
