Cheating scandal ‘confirmed' for Gary in Corrie - with another cobbles resident

Metro9 hours ago

Lou Michaelis (Farrel Hegarty) is a woman on a mission in upcoming Coronation Street episodes – and the mission seems to be to drive a wedge between Gary Windass (Mikey North) and Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon).
Since her husband Mick (Joe Layton) killed Craig Tinker (Colson Smith), Lou has had very few friends or allies in Weatherfield but one person who has given her some support is Gary.
He knows what it's like to be perceived as the villain because he's been there himself. He also feels that it's wrong to blame Lou for Mick's crimes as she's also a victim of her husband's violence.
But for a survivor like Lou, Gary's shows of kindness have made him vulnerable to being targeted. When he agreed to help her sell Mick's van, Lou later visited Mick in prison and told him that Gary had been a 'life saver.' She said she would do whatever it took to survive.
Maria is deeply suspicious of Lou, and very annoyed that Gary is even giving her the time of day. The two have already had several run-ins, notably at Craig's memorial when Maria told Lou she wasn't welcome. In return, Lou casually dropped the information that Gary had bought Mick's van, leaving Maria seething.
The next thing that happened was that Maria was arrested for ABH. At the Platts' barbecue Lou fell through a glass coffee table and insisted that Maria had deliberately pushed her.
Maria claimed that she'd caught Lou about to steal the salon takings from Shona (Julia Goulding)'s bag and said she tried to grab Lou, who tripped and fell into the table.
Lou protested her innocence and when Shona confirmed that the money was still in her bag, it looked like it was Maria who was in the wrong.

Gary was certainly on team Lou in the aftermath, telling Maria she should apologise. Lou told Gary that she wouldn't press charges as he'd been so kind to her. A livid Maria accused Gary of fancying Lou. More Trending
Coming up, Maria returns home after being released from custody pending further investigations. She rages at Lou for reporting her to the police, but Lou insists she kept her word to Gary and didn't report Maria.
With tensions between Gary and Maria still high, Lou calls to see Gary on his own and reiterates that she doesn't want any trouble with him or his family. Gary accepts this and thank her, and offers her a beer.

Huge shock as ITV Coronation Street legend collapses in new spoiler video

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video A new Coronation Street spoiler video reveals the moment Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) collapses in front of her family. Last year, Metro exclusively revealed that the iconic character was set to be diagnosed with young-onset dementia. The storyline divided fans – who were pleased that Sue was finally being given her place in the spotlight – but furious that Debbie would ultimately be killed off. Despite the overwhelming number of viewers opposing the plot, it was officially confirmed in January, and within a matter of weeks the character began to suffer memory loss. Her condition was then officially confirmed by a private doctor, with only her younger brother Carl (Jonathan Howard) present. She's since concealed it from all of her family, and ended her relationship with partner Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) for fears he would have to one day become her carer. She also felt like brother Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) was already going through enough, following his cancer diagnosis and subsequent chemotherapy. In upcoming scenes, she suffers another setback. When she arrives at her Chariot Square Hotel and spots Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) at the bar, she challenges him for drinking underage. Debbie's behaviour quickly becomes erratic, and she smashes a glass on the bar. A stunned Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) watches on, and later in the week, she worries when Debbie forgets to pay in the cafe. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? An awards ceremony then gets underway at Speed Daal, and a jealous Debbie watches on as Ronnie laughs with Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson). She also spots Carl having an intimate conversation with Kevin's wife Abi (Sally Carman-Duttine), and they worry that their flirty behaviour has been spotted. More Trending Suddenly, Debbie collapses, as shown in the spoiler video above. When she regains consciousness, her concerned family gather around. They reveal that she's going to the hospital, and she tells them to stop, bravely opening up about her dementia. View More » How will the family react? Laura welcomed daughter Bonnie, whom she shares with ex Gary, in 2023. The couple had an on-and-off relationship, but things are now on bad terms with Laura even branding Gary a "deadbeat dad". Last month Gary seemingly reignited his feud with his Celebs Go Dating ex Laura after warning that "dads matter". The former Footballers' Wives star made the apparent dig while sharing a throwback video of himself and his son Theodore, six. Gary had been filmed in a restaurant as he sat next to Theodore and they could be seen giggling about "spicy" food together. The actor then gently grabbed his son's cheeks and said: "Look at that face, that gorgeous face.." The video finished with Gary giving Theodore a kiss. Gary, 43, shared the footage on Instagram but seemed to have also made a swipe at Laura, 36, in the process. Laura has taken aim at Gary several times in the past over Bonnie being snapped with her dad rarely. Laura Anderson shows off luxury trip with boyfriend Reigniting the row himself, Gary cryptically captioned his video: "Good enough to eat … Gorgeous Boy #dadsmatter." Replying, one follower asked: "Thought you had a girl with Laura..?" Gary shares Theodore with his ex-wife Natasha. They are also parents to India, 18, Elvis, 12 and Sadie, seven. In August 2024, Gary shared a video of himself with Bonnie With Laura hitting out: "Instead of posting videos of the one time you saw your daughter this year, can you please reply to my text from 2weeks ago please, that would be great". Laura marked Bonnie's birthday in September 2024 as she referenced her "beautiful daughter" When someone asked where her relationship with Gary stands, Laura replied: "No matter what Gary has done and not done I will always respect him as Bonnie's father and I hope one day he is capable of being the father she deserves." At the end of 2022, the pair revealed they were expecting a child together. They shared an announcement on Instagram containing snaps of the pair dressed up as elves at Christmas as they celebrated the joyous news. Laura broke things off with Gary shortly after they celebrated the happy pregnancy news together. The couple split after they attended their first baby scan together. Soccer Aid's Harry Kewell is married to Emmerdale star who embarrassed him on TV

Soccer Aid's Harry Kewell is married to Emmerdale star who embarrassed him on TV The Australian football icon is making his Soccer Aid debut at Old Trafford this weekend Kewell met his wife Sheree in a Leeds nightclub in 2000 Soccer Aid is back for another year with a host of famous faces teaming up with some of football's biggest names to play a huge charity match and raise money for UNICEF. As ever, an England team will go head to head with a World XI in order to lift the trophy, which the Three Lions side claimed last year for the first time in eight years. Led by co-managers Wayne Rooney and Tyson Fury, they will look to retain their title at Old Trafford on Sunday night, with the likes of Gary Neville, Louis Tomlinson and Dame Denise Lewis among those taking part. ‌ The World XI team is also stacked with a host of football icons, with Carlos Tevez, Edwin van der Sar and Leonardo Bonucci among the former professionals involved. ‌ Representing Australia in the squad is Harry Kewell, with the former Wallabies winger making his Soccer Aid debut at this year's event. The 46-year-old is somewhat of a Premier League icon, having spent 12 years playing in the top flight of English football for both Leeds United and Liverpool, before seeing out the rest of his career with stints in Turkey, Qatar and his homeland of Australia. To date, he remains the only Australian man to have ever played in the Champions League final, while he won 58 caps for his country and represented them at two FIFA World Cups. Article continues below While his career has taken him all around the world - with his latest managerial stint seeing him take charge of Japanese side Yokohama F. Marinos - Kewell will forever be linked to the UK having married one of the country's most popular soap stars while playing in the English top flight. The 2005 Champions League winner - who has also managed the likes of Crawley Town, Notts County, Oldham Athletic and Barnet since retiring in 2014 - has been married to former Emmerdale and Hollyoaks star Sheree Murphy for 23 years. The couple got together while Kewell was at the top of his game at Leeds, having met in the city's Majestyk nightclub in 2000. ‌ Kewell then married Murphy - who has also starred in Neighbours and Only Fools and Horses as well as being a recurring panelist on Loose Women - in a ceremony in Las Vegas in May 2002. The famous pair have gone on to have four children together, with their son Taylor born in 2001 before they also welcomed daughters Ruby, Matilda and Dolly. Murphy has spoken openly about her relationship with the former footballer, telling the Loose Women panel that she is not afraid to make her feelings known if female fans try and flirt with her husband. ‌ "I'll say 'hello I'm the wife' if they go too far!," she said. "Harry just starts sweating, he gets quite nervous!" She also famously embarrassed her husband during her time on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in 2005 as she told campmates that Kewell "had a peachy bum", leaving viewers in stitches. With the Wallabies star still playing for Liverpool at the time, the remark led to him - quite literally - being the butt of the joke, and Murphy - who finished runner-up on the show - was left groaning as she was put on the spot about the comment after leaving the famous jungle. Article continues below "Oh God, I can't even remember saying that," she told the Liverpool Echo. "But apparently on the telly they're still saying 'a brilliant goal by peachy bum!' "Harry was like 'will people never stop?'. But, actually, he's been fine about it and I think he was so glad to have me home he didn't care. "At least I was saying something nice," she added. "I wasn't saying it was fat or anything!"
