SP T. Srinivasa Rao Ensures Swift Action on Public Grievances in Jogulamba Gadwal
Gadwal: In a move to ensure justice and maintain law and order in the district, Jogulamba Gadwal District Superintendent of Police (SP), Sri T. Srinivasa Rao, IPS, has directed police officials to take appropriate legal action on complaints received at police stations and ensure justice for the complainants.
On Monday, during the Public Grievance Day (Praja Vani), the SP personally reviewed 16 petitions submitted by citizens from various parts of the district at the District Police Office. In the presence of the Deputy SP and Circle Inspectors, he examined each petition, interacted with the complainants to understand their issues in detail, and issued necessary instructions for legal redressal.
SP Srinivasa Rao emphasized that no delay or negligence should be shown in addressing the complaints. He instructed the officials to take immediate and lawful action, and also to ensure that the progress of the investigation or action taken is regularly communicated to the complainants.
The nature of the complaints received today is as follows:
Disputes and altercations: 06 complaints
Land disputes: 05 complaints
Domestic disputes: 01 complaint
Crop damage due to pigs in the village: 01 complaint
Miscellaneous issues: 03 complaints
The SP reiterated that the police department is committed to resolving public grievances in a transparent, lawful, and timely manner, and encouraged citizens to approach the police with any issues affecting their safety and peace.

He urged the public not to believe or spread rumors circulating on social media and asked them to report any suspicious activities or issues by dialing 100 or informing the nearest police station. 'Do not take the law into your own hands. Share information with us, and we will take prompt and lawful action,' he assured. SP Patil further highlighted the need to protect the future of the younger generation by maintaining peace and promoting communal harmony. He affirmed that Kurnool district will continue to be a symbol of religious tolerance and unity. Speaking on the occasion, Additional SP (Admin) Hussain Peer stressed the role of the community in fostering a cordial environment. 'We must be vigilant, act with presence of mind, and not fall for misinformation. Let us ensure that both Bakrid and the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi festivals are celebrated in a peaceful atmosphere with full cooperation from the public,' he said. During the meeting, community leaders also requested the establishment of a police outpost between Balaji Nagar and Stantonpuram under the Kurnool Taluk Police Station limits to enhance local security. ANPR cameras installed at eight locations in two blocks of Perambalur district
The police have installed Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras at eight locations in Alathur and Veppanthattai blocks in Perambalur district. The high-resolution cameras are linked to the central monitoring room established at the District Police Office in Perambalur. Perambalur District Collector Grace Pachuau inaugurated the monitoring room. Superintendent of Police Adarsh Pachera was present. The monitoring room will function round-the-clock and the police personnel at the facilitiy can see live video feeds of the road. A total of 16 ANPR cameras have been installed under the Focus Block Development Programme 2024-2025 at a cost of ₹40 lakh at Chettikulam, Padalur, Allinagaram and Mangoon in Alathur block and Kaikalathur, Arumbavur, Veppanthattai and Devaiyur panchayat (Ranjankudi) in Veppanthattai block. The cameras are linked to the central monitoring room and would have backup for more than 30 days. The ANPR cameras help the police track vehicles that are used in committing crimes besides in identifying those involved in road accidents. The cameras will zero-in on the registration number of vehicles passing through the road. In case of any information of crime being committed, an alert would be sounded to the field-level police personnel and to the highway patrol teams. The Perambalur district police have five Highway Patrol teams deployed to cover important stretches such as Thirumandurai - Perambalur Four Road; Perambalur Four Road - Padaluir; Perambalur - Udumbiyam and Perambalur T. Kalathur, the sources added.

During the inspection, the SP reviewed station records, premises, and staff duties. He emphasized the importance of maintaining high levels of preparedness, especially in view of possible flooding from the Krishna River due to heavy inflow from Karnataka, and instructed that residents of riverbank villages be alerted and prevented from entering the river areas.
