Wimbledon kicked off this week, and as usual plenty of stars gathered at London's All-England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club to take in the early round action while braving the record heat.
Among them was David Beckham, who sat in the royal box for Monday's five-set, first-round thriller between Carlos Alcaraz and Fabio Fognini. Beckham posed for a selfie with Maria Sharapova, the five-time Grand Slam winner and former Wimbledon champion who retired in 2020.

Other celebrities spotted in the stands this week included rocker Dave Grohl, who sported a suit and wore his hair in a bun while attending with his wife, Jordyn Blum. According to People magazine, it was the couple's first public appearance together since Grohl revealed that he had welcomed a child outside of their marriage last year.

Spotted: The 8 Best Dressed Guests Today At Wimbledon

Despite its long-standing dress code for challengers, Wimbledon has a more relaxed approach to what it hopes spectators wear during the two weeks of matches at the All England Club in SW19. Yet, while there is a freedom to explore and no set textbook, Wimbledon certainly has a look none the less. You could say that dressing for Wimbledon is English fashion at its most quintessential. During The Championships, there's a shared approach from the congregation to choose pieces that are polite, demure and with a sporting angle, be it a Ralph Lauren polo shirt or a pleated skirt that mirrors what is worn in play. For the big-name celebrities in attendance thus far, the 2025 championships have proven no different as a slurry of A-list names have put on their prettiest, preppiest outfits to take in Centre Court. Olivias Rodrigo and Dean have been amongst the standout sartorial champions, both donning sweet summer dresses. By contrast, Cate Blanchett chose an Armani suit to sit in the Royal Box. Of course, there's one person who does Wimbledon dressing best: the Princess of Wales. While Catherine is yet to make an appearance at the 2025 games, there have been some brilliant outfits to observe. Here, ELLE's best dressed of Wimbledon 2025. The British musician wore a butter yellow dress with a brown handbag and pointed white shoes. Fresh from Glastonbury, the popstar wore a gingham dress from Ralph Lauren's SS00 collection. In keeping with the on-court white, Mann wore a full Dior look. The actor chose a double-breasted suit by Giorgio Armani and carried a Louis Vuitton bag. The presenter chose a pair of capris by Conner Ives. Artist Collings-James wore a perfectly pitched outfit for the sporting event, complete with Gucci bag and neckerchief. Match point. Regan did top-to-toe Thom Browne for her trip to SW19. Amfo riffed on ball-girl style with her striped two-piece. Freelancer

Ben Shelton left furious after ‘unbelievable' decision to suspend play at Wimbledon due to bad light

Ben Shelton and Rinky Hijikata were left furious after play was suspended late on day four at Wimbledon moments before the American was due to serve for the match. The second-round contest was approaching a conclusion, despite both players questioning whether the match should continue into the third set with light quickly fading. Advertisement The No 10 seed led 6-2, 7-5, 5-4 before the umpire announced on No 2 Court "play is suspended' at 9:29pm BST. Shelton then raced towards the umpire's chair, waving his finger to protest at the decision. The 22-year-old was held back by an official before hastily packing his bag and applauding the crowd. Shelton was in fine form and had failed to drop a service game all match. Shelton and Hijikata will resume their match, which has currently lasted two hours and 11 minutes, on No 2 Court at around 1:30pm, with the match due on second after Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova v Naomi Osaka in the women's singles third round. 'Four points, four serves, it could be over. I would have preferred to play it out, but you have to think of both players. 'If you're Ben, I want my day off and want to properly prepare, and not have to feel like I'm getting ready for a match. If you're confident, to serve it out in four points, maybe five max. Advertisement While James Blake added: 'A bad decision forced another bad decision... They could've stopped at the end of the second set or at 4-2.' And another former US player Mardy Fish backed Shelton to finish the match in style on Friday: 'Ain't a doubt in my mind Ben will come out and bust four aces. Little hit and giggle tomorrow stud.'
