BGT: CJ Emmons says he was 'fighting for his life' in hospital
Britain's Got Talent finalist CJ Emmons shared details about his emergency trip to the hospital for 'life-changing surgery' just a few days before the final performance.
In the episode aired on May 24 of the much-loved ITV show, it marked the end of the semi-finals with eight acts showcasing their talents live in hopes of progressing to the grand finale.
The evening kicked off with a spectacular performance from the cast of the new musical 'Here and Now', accompanied by the iconic pop group Steps.
CJ, who had previously stunned the audience in his audition with his rendition of Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You, delivered another sensational performance on Saturday, belting out This Is A Man's World that left judges and viewers alike in awe. He was met with roaring applause and calls for KSI to hit the golden buzzer on his behalf.

It was then that CJ shared the challenging circumstances he faced leading up to the semi-final, reports Belfast Live.
With the hosts by his side, he revealed: "Can I tell you something, I'm fighting for this. Two weeks ago I was in the hospital having life-changing surgery. I am fighting for this, I want this so bad."
He continued, expressing his deep desire to return to the stage next week: "I really want to be here next week, this is something that I've been fighting for. I mean literally two weeks ago I was in a hospital bed for five days fighting, and I am fighting for this."
Following his initial audition, CJ returned to California to gear up for the semi-finals, but his health unexpectedly deteriorated. He found himself in hospital after experiencing intense abdominal pain and collapsing at the nurse's station.

Despite being in the recovery phase, CJ told The Mirror: "I won't let it stop me from my dream and goal. They cut into my abdominal wall and every time after that, it's been hurting to sing."
He continued: "But my doctor's like, 'keep singing, strengthen it, strengthen it, and it's going to get better. ' So there's still a bit of pain. But I can tell it's getting stronger and stronger."
Britain's Got Talent will air on Saturday night at 7pm on ITV and ITVX

You've never heard of the only Englishman to win Champions League with Inter Milan
The only British footballer in history to get a Champions League winners' medal while playing for Inter Milan would use it as a ball marker in the few years he spent as a professional golfer on the PGA circuit. Ben Greenhalgh laughs at the memory of the confusion it would spread in matchplay. 'That was my way of getting into an opponent's head, to let them know that I might be all right at golf but I had also done a bit in football,' he says. 'It would always throw them off for a few holes.' This is the unusual sporting career of a man who, at 17, won an Inter Milan contract in a TV talent show; became a professional golfer; and was a body double for Cristiano Ronaldo and Mesut Özil. When Greenhalgh drops into the conversation that he was a British steeplechase champion as a junior athlete, it is hard to believe that, at 33, he has packed so much in. Greenhalgh is currently the player-manager at Margate FC in the Isthmian League south-east division – the eighth tier of the pyramid. In a successful non-league career spent mainly in his native Kent, he has played around 750 games and says he has never missed a match through injury. For seven years he has run the academy at Dartford FC, one tier above Margate in the Isthmian Premier. He has already had one major success: Martial Godo who now, at 22, is a Premier League player with Fulham. But Greenhalgh is best known for winning the 2010 Sky One show Football's Next Star, a Britain's Got Talent for footballers. Presented by Jamie Redknapp and going head-to-head with Strictly Come Dancing in the scheduling over seven episodes it followed 10 young footballers competing to win a contract with Inter. Sadly the proposed second series – to feature Manchester City – never happened. That despite the show coinciding with Inter's 2010 Champions League triumph under Jose Mourinho.

EastEnders star wiped out of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? after struggling with Shakespeare question - do YOU know the answer?
An EastEnders star was wiped out of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? after she struggled with a Shakespeare related question. On Thursday, ITV aired a repeat of December's celebrity instalment of the quiz show, which saw soap star Nina Wadia, 56, attempt to win cash for charity. She worked her way through the questions and eventually used up three of her lifelines. However the star, who previously played Zainab Masood in EastEnders, found the £64,000 question particularly tricky. Host Jeremy Clarkson, 65, asked: 'The origin of the modern phrase 'there's a method in my madness' can be traced back to which Shakespeare tragedy?' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Nina had to choose between A) King Lear, B) Macbeth, C) Othello and D) Hamlet. 'I love Shakespeare and I actually know this but right now I can't... for me right now it's all of them,' she stressed. The actress was torn between Macbeth and Hamlet, confidently discarding the other two options. In the end, she decided to ask the audience for help and 43 percent selected Macbeth. 'I just instinctively feel it's Macbeth but then Hamlet...' she deliberated. 'Alright, I'm going with the audience and I'm saying my final answer is Macbeth,' the star decided. Jeremy teased: 'Good news, you haven't lost any money.' But then he revealed: 'That I'm afraid is the wrong answer.' The correct answer turned out to be Hamlet. Despite getting the answer wrong, Nina still managed to bag a huge amount for charity. The former Top Gear presenter said: 'Oh that is annoying isn't it. 'But it's not the absolute end of the world because in a way you're still leaving here with, for your charity, £32,000.' Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? airs on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.

This Morning's Paddy McGuinness opens up about terrifying health scare that saw him rushed to hospital at 17 years old
This Morning's Paddy McGuinness opened up about a terrifying health scare that saw him rushed to hospital as a teenager. The 51-year-old and co-host Alison Hammond, 50, were joined by journalist Rachel Johnson and Gyles Brandreth on Friday's episode of the ITV show. Alison started the conversation by saying that research has highlighted that doctors should trust parents' gut instinct about their children's health. This led them all to share their own stories and views on the matter. Paddy, who has presented the show three times this week while Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard are on half-term, said: 'I don't want to throw shade on doctors and nurses, because they do an amazing job... 'A very similar thing, when I was about 17 I keeled over in agony, I didn't know what it was. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'I had really bad stomach pains. The doctor came to our house, he said: "Just give him these tablets" and left.' Paddy's dad decided to take matters into his own hands and took him to seek medical help because he knew his son wasn't well. He continued: 'It was my dad who went "somethings not right". 'Took me to hospital... Within two hours, I was being operated on, I had a burst ulcer!' A shocked Rachel asked: 'An ulcer at 17?!' 'Yeah, hereditary,' Paddy told her. 'Unbelievable,' Alison added. The panel later discussed if they had ever brushed their teeth with their fingers. Alison pointed out that 12% of people are now doing it. 'I've regularly done it,' Gyles confessed. He added: 'What I DON'T do is share a toothbrush. 'Unlike my friend.' Rachel confessed: 'You see that's what I do. I'm feral. 'Rather than using my finger, I would use another tooth brush. I honestly don't care.' Paddy was disgusted and said: 'Oh no. Oh no. 'I'm all for the finger, but sharing a tooth brush... oh no.' Alison then went on to tell viewers than ONLY 41% of people brush their teeth once a day. She said: 'It needs to be twice a day!?' That is a disgrace,' Rachel agreed.
