Brady House is on the way as the Nationals seek an offensive boost
In an effort to jump-start the offense and with the team on an eight-game losing streak, the Washington Nationals are calling up top hitting prospect Brady House, multiple people with knowledge of the transaction told The Washington Post on Sunday night. The third baseman, who is less than two weeks past his 22nd birthday and in the midst of his best season as a professional, is set to make his debut at Nationals Park in the four-game series against the Colorado Rockies that opens Monday.

Readers Debate: Is Chicago a City of GOATs?
In 'A Pope, a President and a GOAT' (op-ed, May 13), Collin Levy rhapsodizes about Chicago, writing: 'Can you think of another city in the world responsible for a pope, a president and the greatest basketball player of all time?' The GOAT reference is to Michael Jordan. With no choice in the matter under NBA draft rules, MJ arrived in Chicago in 1984. Yet his greatness had been largely baked in via his formative years in small-town North Carolina, not the Windy City. Three years before hitting the winning shot in the NCAA championship game, Mr. Jordan was cut from his high-school basketball team, yielding a manic dedication to training that led to a spot on the University of North Carolina's roster. I'll go out on a limb and venture that Laney High School in Wilmington, and coaching great Dean Smith, had more to do with Mr. Jordan's success than did Chicago. Wilmington and Chapel Hill send their regards, Chicago. No charge.

NEW YORK — Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton was activated Monday and set to start at designated hitter against the Los Angeles Angels after missing New York's first 70 games because of inflammation in the tendons of both elbows. Stanton was 3 for 11 with 4 RBIs in three rehab games last week with Double-A Somerset, an assignment cut short by rainy weather.

FIFA Club World Cup Soccer: Stream Boca Juniors vs. Benfica Live From Anywhere
Boca Juniors kick off their Group C campaign tonight in Miami with a tricky test against Portuguese heavyweights Benfica. Below, we'll outline the best live TV streaming services to use to watch every match of the tournament as it happens, wherever you are in the world, and how to use a VPN if the match isn't available where you are, along with a full fixture list. The Argentine side comes into this match as slight underdogs, but will have the benefit of a fanatic fanbase all set to pack out the Hard Rock Stadium, with a huge number of travelling Los Xeneizes support set to turn the venue into a mini-Bombonera. Benfica will, meanwhile, be hoping for a positive campaign after a solid domestic season tinged with disappointment. They narrowly finished runner‑up to Sporting in the Primeira Liga before losing to them again in the Portuguese Cup. Boca Juniors take on Benfica on Monday, June 16, at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. ET or 3 p.m. PT. That makes it an 11 p.m. BST start in the UK and an 8 a.m. AEST kickoff in Australia on Tuesday. Greek striker Vangelis Pavlidis made 41 goal contributions for Benfica last season.
