Texas Women See Themselves In ‘The Hunting Wives'

According to the hit Netflix show 'The Hunting Wives,' wealthy women in small-town Texas love guns, go to church (even if they aren't especially pious), believe abortion is a sin and like to have sex—lots of it. The show stars Brittany Snow as Sophie, a liberal Boston woman, who moves to a fictional Texas suburb and befriends a group of wealthy, conservative wives. A web of murder, secrets and infidelity unfolds when Sophie meets Margo (Malin Akerman), a sexy, confident Texan in an open marriage whose husband wants to be governor. With its melodramatic story line and graphic sex scenes, the story serves up campy social commentary that skewers both liberal and conservative culture.
