Sri Gouri Priya: Style is comfort with elegance
Excerpts
What do you prefer when it comes to jewellery?
I've always been like a kid in a candy store whenever I visit a jewellery shop. I used to go with my mom and cousins and get completely fascinated. I wouldn't say I'm drawn to one particular style; jewellery is something every woman loves, and no matter how much you have, you always want more! That's how it is for me. I do invest in gold whenever I can, be it buying for myself or gifting others.
What do you like about this store?
I absolutely love how aesthetically and minimally it's designed. The ambience and the vibe are beautiful. What stood out to me is their collection of lightweight jewellery. Given how gold and diamond prices are soaring these days, everyone wants pieces that look grand and elegant but are also budget-friendly. I think this store specialises in offering exactly that, which is fantastic. I definitely recommend that people visit and explore the collection.

Bridal tale woven with emotion
Brides have their own unique choices when it comes to picking the perfect outfit for their big day. It's often an emotional, time-intensive process, one that Ridhi Mehra understands deeply. With an eye for elegance and a deep understanding of modern bridal sensibilities, she introduces her latest collection, 'Becoming Her', now available in Hyderabad. Every ensemble has been crafted with the bride's preferences at heart, offering a blend of tradition and contemporary flair. CE caught up with the designer as she unveiled her new store and collection in the city. Excerpts Tell us about your new store in Hyderabad. Why did you choose this city? After our flagship in Delhi, Hyderabad felt like the natural next step. The demand from this city was growing consistently, our client base here is strong and very connected to our aesthetic. Even though our designs are more contemporary compared to what's traditionally seen here, we noticed that Hyderabadis are open to experimentation. It's a conservative market in some ways, but also one that's evolving and embracing change. That balance really works for our brand. What inspired the new collection, 'Becoming Her'? This is our second bridal collection, and we've gone bigger this time, both in scale and vision. Priced between Rs 2 to Rs 4 lakhs, it offers a sweet spot for brides seeking exclusivity without going overboard. 'Becoming Her' captures the emotional transition of a woman becoming a bride — her dreams, her hesitations, her excitement. It's about the anticipation before the big day. We've designed the collection for the girl who's still waiting for her special someone, but has already found her perfect outfit!

Prince Harry DENIES physical fight with Prince Andrew; slams new book's claims about alleged feud involving Meghan Markle and Prince William: Read
is strongly denying shocking claims made in a new royal book, 'Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York'. The book suggests that he once got into a physical fight with his uncle Prince Andrew at a family gathering in 2013, and that Andrew later insulted . Tired of too many ads? go ad free now As reported by PEOPLE, a spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex said, 'I can confirm neither of those things are true. Prince Harry and Prince Andrew have never had a physical fight, nor did Prince Andrew ever make those comments about the Duchess of Sussex to Prince Harry.' Legal action already underway Along with denying the claims, Prince Harry has also taken legal steps against the Daily Mail, which published parts of the book. His team further confirmed, 'Such are the gross inaccuracies, damaging and defamatory remarks made in the Daily Mail's story, I can confirm a legal letter from Prince Harry's counsel has been sent to the Mail.' Book claims punches were thrown The book, written by author Andrew Lownie, describes a 'heated argument' in 2013 that reportedly turned physical. It alleges the row was sparked by 'something Andrew said behind Harry's back.' According to the book, things escalated until 'punches were thrown' and Andrew ended up with a bloody nose. Meghan called 'opportunist', says book In another major claim, the book says that Andrew later made harsh comments about Harry's then-girlfriend Meghan Markle. He reportedly told Harry that Meghan was an 'opportunist' and said he didn't think their marriage would last. Tensions with Prince William too The book also claims that Prince Andrew has had long-running tensions with both Harry and his brother William. It says Prince William has worked behind the scenes to remove Andrew from Royal Lodge, the estate in Windsor that he still lives in. According to the author, William has 'privately expressed disdain' for both Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Book looks at Andrew's past The book also digs into Prince Andrew's reputation and controversies. It mentions his past ties to convicted sex offender , which led to him stepping back from royal duties and being stripped of official roles. It paints a picture of Andrew as a troubled and controversial figure within the royal family. Royal family stays silent While Prince Harry has spoken out through his spokesperson and taken legal action, the rest of the royal family is staying quiet. As per the above mentioned report, Kensington Palace declined to comment, and Buckingham Palace did not respond to their request for a statement. This is just the latest book to stir up trouble for the royal family. Since Prince Harry and Meghan stepped down from royal duties and moved to California in 2020, there have been several tell-all books and interviews revealing behind-the-scenes tensions. Harry and Meghan's new life Prince Harry, now 40, and Meghan, 43, are living in Montecito, California. They are raising their two children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, away from royal life. The couple now focus on philanthropic work and building their own projects.

Bringing honesty to every role is what matters most to me: Sri Gouri Priya
Born and raised in Hyderabad, Sri Gouri Priya grew up watching films in local theatres before stepping into the limelight herself. With notable roles in films like Mail (2021), Writer Padmabhushan (2023), and the coming-of-age comedy MAD (2023), she is part of a growing wave of homegrown talent making a mark in Tollywood. Now working alongside names like Abbas and GV Prakash in an upcoming Tamil family entertainer, she talks about the beginnings that shaped her, the language that grounds her, and her drive to bring alive stories that stay with audiences long after the credits roll. 'Hyderabad has shaped me, both as a person and an actor' For Sri Gouri Priya, Hyderabad is not just home but the foundation of her love for cinema. 'I'm a proper Hyderabadi girl. I was born and raised here, went to school and college here, and I think so much of who I am today comes from this city. Growing up, I spent countless weekends watching my favourite films in the classic theatres here. That's where the dream really began,' she says. Even before she made her mark on screen, she was no stranger to the stage. 'I participated in every school cultural activity, was part of a singing reality show, and then, quite randomly, I entered a beauty pageant and won. I also had small roles in films like Fidaa. But at that time, I honestly didn't imagine I'd become a lead actress. Things just started falling into place naturally,' she reflects with a smile. 'I became known as the girl who slaps in MAD' While she gained recognition with Mail (2021) and Writer Padmabhushan (2023), it was her role as Shruthi in MAD that brought Gouri widespread attention. 'Post-MAD, things changed significantly,' she says. The film connected her with younger audiences, who often associate her with her character's punchy moments. 'People often come up to me and say, 'You are MAD!' I have to clarify, 'No, I'm from MAD,' she says with a laugh, adding, 'But, it's nice to be remembered for a role that resonated with viewers. ' 'No matter what language you speak, your job is to bring truth to the character' For decades, Tollywood has largely been dominated by non-local actresses, which has fueled the lingering perception that Telugu-speaking girls get fewer chances. 'I've met many directors and producers who specifically look for Telugu-speaking girls for their projects. In that sense, I've personally found the industry to be quite welcoming,' Gouri says. Drawing from her own journey beyond Tollywood, she recalls working on the Tamil anthology Modern Love Chennai: 'I wasn't familiar with the setting or the dialect, but I trained with a local woman to get the nuances right. For me, no matter what language you speak, the essence of acting lies in portraying the character truthfully and bringing authenticity to the screen.' -There's something special about seeing yourself on the same screens you grew up watching as a kid. That full-circle moment is hard to describe. I carry that sense of gratitude and responsibility into every role I take on - In True Lover, I played a woman who walks away from a toxic relationship. That experience made me realise how much I value being part of films that create meaningful conversations and spark dialogue - Divya Shree
