Andhra Pradesh to use local theatres for video meets to hear villagers' concerns
In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the Andhra Pradesh government has begun using public theatres as a platform to directly engage with rural citizens and address their grievances. The state's Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department launched the special outreach programme, 'Maata-Manthi', with the aim of involving villagers in developmental efforts and listening to their concerns first-hand.As part of the programme, residents of Ravivalasa village in the Tekkali constituency of Srikakulam district were today invited to a local theatre in Tekkali. From the Camp Office, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan interacted with the residents via live video conference, listening to their suggestions and developmental needs.
advertisementConcerns that could be addressed immediately were resolved in coordination with officials who were present, with required approvals given on the spot. Issues that required more time were forwarded to the respective departments with defined timelines for implementation.
Speaking to the public during the event, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said, 'I was deeply moved by the enthusiasm and clarity with which the people of Ravivalasa came forward to express their concerns and hopes. They didn't just speak, they took ownership of their village's future, which reflects the true spirit of democracy.'In a post on X, he further said, 'I strongly believe that this initiative is not just a program, it's a step forward in realising the vision of 'Grameen Bharat Mahotsav 2025', as envisioned by Hon'ble Prime Minister Sri @narendramodi Ji, where the voice of every village is heard and respected.'advertisementPawan Kalyan also expressed gratitude to the Minister for Agriculture and Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Tekkali, K Atchannaidu, as well as officials from the Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, and Rural Water Supply (RWS) departments. The BJP's Karnataka unit on Sunday staged a protest against the state government over the Bengaluru stampede that claimed 11 lives. The Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly, R. They had also recommended prohibiting the event," he said. "The police had instructed that department staff and their families should not attend, yet families were present. Instructions for CCTV cameras were ignored, and drones were prohibited but used," he noted. "The government disregarded all these instructions. The directive to limit the stage to 20-30 people was completely violated, with 200 people, including 11 players, present on stage," he pointed out. Despite the event being listed as a government programme in the order, CM Siddaramaiah claimed it was not a government event, Ashoka charged. "Despite such law violations, police officers were suspended in the end. Action was taken against officers managing traffic on the roads, and even police station staff were suspended," he said. Ashoka demanded that the state government convene a special session of the Assembly to discuss the issue. "Three inquiries have been ordered, but it's unclear which one is genuine. A probe under a High Court judge is necessary, and we are all demanding it," he stated. "If the government is not guilty, it should provide Rs 1 crore as compensation. We will all donate one month's salary to the victims' families," he announced. "Winning a trophy is not new. No such incidents have occurred when other state teams won trophies. No other state's chief minister has gone to such events for publicity," he added.

Andhra Dy CM Pawan extends Rs 50 lakh aid to kin of Pahalgam attack victim
NELLORE: Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan has extended financial support of Rs 50 lakh to the family of Madhusudhan Rao, a software engineer from Kavali in Nellore district, who was killed in a recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. On Friday, Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh, TIDCO chairman Vemulapati Ajay, and JSP Nellore district general secretary Gunukula Kishore visited the grieving family and personally handed over the aid as per Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan's instructions. The aid was distributed as follows: Rs 22.5 lakh each to Madhusudhan's son, a Class 8 student, and daughter, who is in intermediate, and Rs 5 lakh to his parents.

Pawan extends financial help of `50L to Madhusudan's family
Kavali (Nellore district): Minister Kandula Durgesh announced that following instructions from Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan, he personally provided Rs 50 lakh in financial aid to the family of Madhusudan Rao, a software engineer from Kavali, who tragically died in the Pahalgam terror attack during a tour to Jammu and Kashmir in April. The Minister accompanied by TIDCO chairman Vemulapati Ajay, visited Madhusudan's family here on Friday. They offered condolences and reassured the family of financial security. On the occasion, they prayed for the peace of Madhusudan's soul. They also assured the grieving family that Jana Sena would stand by them. Minister Durgesh revealed that Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan personally announced Rs 22.50 lakh each for Madhusudan's son, who is studying in 8th grade, and his daughter, who is studying Intermediate, and Rs 5 lakh for his parents. He confirmed that these amounts were directly handed over. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Durgesh stated that Deputy Chief Minister and Janasenani Pawan Kalyan was deeply moved upon hearing about the incident. The Minister added that based on their leader Pawan's decision to support Madhusudan's family, they travelled to Kavali to personally console the family and offer encouragement. He assured them that Pawan Kalyan's help and cooperation would always be available to the family. The Minister said the Deputy Chief Minister decided to support Madhusudan's family, who unjustly fell victim to a terrorist attack, and has provided personal financial assistance. Durgesh assured the children that they would always stand by the family so they wouldn't feel the pain of losing their father and the main breadwinner. Minister Durgesh instilled confidence, stating that the party would provide support, whether it's for a small-level activist or a state-level leader, for any assistance required.
