Royal or not, it really is the most fun to infuse the latest trends into your spring wardrobe, which is exactly what Zara Tindall did when she joined her husband over the weekend at his annual Mike Tindall Celebrity Golf Classic tournament. For the occasion, which fell just a few days after Zara's 44th birthday on May 15, Princess Anne's daughter stepped out in butter yellow. Still, it's the color of her heels in combination with the on-trend hue that I can't stop thinking about.
Muted pastels (be it butter yellow or ballet pink) are totally in vogue for spring—this we know. But Zara's choice to pair her Leo Lin 'Aurélie' Appliqué mini dress (which is still in stock, btw) with a pair of gold pumps from designer Julia Mays (past season) feels elegant and stylish, too. The warmer hues paired together have a brightening effect that feels spot-on for spring and summer happy hours, weddings, even just a fancier brunch. When it comes to summer dress codes, this look is definitely it.
Even better is how universally flattering butter yellow tends to be. And, credit to Zara, but she's also proof that you can pull off a mini-dress at any age. In fact, we'd love to know more about her skincare routine including how she achieves such a natural-looking glow.
More than anything, it was fun to see Zara's husband Mike posting this behind-the-scenes snap with his wife looking all glammed up. Her friend, Denise Van Outen, also posted about the day—and offered a clearer view of the royal's head-to-toe look. Yes, butter yellow is on trend, but it's the details (such as an unexpected color combo) that make it really stand out.
Now, your turn: Here, a few additional options to help you mirror Zara's impeccable style.

Sam Thompson Allegedly Using Cats to Get Zara McDermott's Attention
Gather 'round because there's celebrity breakup drama to unpack, and it involves cats. In case you missed it, Love Island star Zara McDermott and One Direction's Louis Tomlinson are dating. And apparently Zara's ex, I'm A Celebrity winner Sam Thompson, is less than thrilled. Sam and Zara split back in December after five years of dating, and allegedly had some drama over who would get custody of their cats, Cedric and Albus. The exes decided to share custody, and Sam is— according to a source–trying to use them to get Zara's attention. "They are both big on Instagram and still follow each other so it's pretty obvious when Sam posts a picture if it's meant for Zara or not, and that's because it usually involves the cats," a friend of the former couple tells the Daily Mail. "He knows how much the cats mean to her and how much she loved his love for them. It was a major part of her attraction to him. They used to sit in the house and chill out together with the cats for hours, while Sam gamed or made funny videos. It was their happy place. Now it seems that this is the only way that he can get attention from Zara." Apparently Sam posted a picture of himself with Cedric when Louis and Zara were on vacation, knowing it would remind his ex of the "good times." However, the anon friend says "She gave the relationship everything she could but it just didn't work out. She doesn't need to be reminded of the break-up every time she looks on social media." Welp. This has been weird. For more on Zara and Louis' relationship, head...

Joanna Gaines Just Built a Secret Door in This Playroom—and It's Giving Narnia

Woodland vines curl up onto the ceiling. A velvet curtain sways in the corner, hiding a miniature stage. There are climbing rocks disguised as mossy boulders, brass knobs shaped like mushrooms and snails, and a soft, golden light that makes the whole room feel like it's been dipped in whimsy. This is the exact feeling Joanna Gaines just recreated in her latest Mini Reni makeover: a storybook playroom that channels all the magic of Narnia. The moment you pass through the secret bookcase door, you're transported into a space that feels enchanted, immersive and undeniably luxe. The new Magnolia Network series (airing Wednesdays at 8/7c on Magnolia and Max) trades whole-home renovations for deeply personal, single-room transformations—often designed for friends or team members. And in this episode, Jo leans all the way into fantasy, with every detail more charming than the last. Want to know which buzzy products are *really* worth buying? Sign up for our shopping newsletter to uncover our favorite finds. Courtesy of Magnolia Network Step through the bookcase and you're instantly transported to a playroom with warm layers of texture and charm. 'This arched door, flanked by corresponding shelves, served as the inspiration for the rest of the space,' Jo explains in her Magnolia journal. Rather than contrast it, she leaned all the way in, painting the ceiling, walls, and cabinetry in Sherwin-Williams's Jute Brown (Satin Finish). 'A simple paint refresh helped highlight the original beauty of the arched trimwork, molding, and planked ceiling while staying within budget,' she adds. The result? Immersive and cocooning without feeling dark—a clever way to add depth while letting the architecture do the talking. Courtesy of Magnolia Network Then there's the bay window. Instead of leaving it as-is, she turned it into a multifunctional stage-slash-bench, complete with scalloped trim, pull-out drawers and a blue houndstooth cushion that feels pulled from a Wes Anderson set. 'The homeowners' children love performing, so the team added a large cushion that can be easily removed—converting the seat to a stage,' she explains. 'To lean into the theatre feel, we added light blue velvet curtains across a brass rod—perfect for putting on a play!' Not to mention the opposite wall, which highlights a custom interactive panel with colored pegs and a rock wall that would make any Pinterest parent swoon. 'To help foster creativity and curiosity, we added a wooden interactive wall—complete with colored pegs for pattern-making and rocks for climbing,' Jo notes. Courtesy of Magnolia Network The rest of the space is filled with woodland whimsy: arched cabinets with mushroom- and snail-shaped hardware, botanical art in vintage frames, leafy potted plants and C.F.A. Voysey wallpaper that wraps up onto the ceiling like a storybook scene. 'During the process, we discovered that this particular [wallpaper] print is actually a restoration of one of C.F.A. Voysey's most elaborate patterns.' Even the adjacent closet-turned-toy room was given the full treatment, complete with striped wallpaper, scalloped trim and wooden cubbies that make cleaning up feel like part of the play. She explains, 'We chose a light-blue, vertical-striped wallpaper to help elongate the small nook and installed more scalloped picture rail where the wall and ceiling meet.' Courtesy of Magnolia Network All in all, she summarizes, 'I absolutely love how this space turned out. There are so many layers of story and detail within this tiny room that you could discover something new every time you step inside. Even though we created this space for a [longtime friend and her three kids], I hope it's a room that inspires the whole family to savor the magic of childlike wonder for years to come.' So below, find three staples from this look to bring a touch of Narnia into your own kid's playroom. 5 Joanna Gaines Garden Lessons That Stand the Test of Time PureWow's editors and writers have spent more than a decade shopping online, digging through sales and putting our home goods, beauty finds, wellness picks and more through the wringer—all to help you determine which are actually worth your hard-earned cash. Meghan Markle Twins with Daughter Lilibet in New Surprise Video: 'Like Mother, Like Daughter'
Meghan Markle and her daughter Princess Lilibet (3) were totally twinning during a fun activity harvesting honey on Monday afternoon. Posting a short clip of their day on Instagram, the pair could be seen wearing matching white beekeeping suits and gloves, taking a honeycomb inside afterwards to make a tasty treat. Meghan captioned the post, "Look at all of that fresh honeycomb! Harvesting honey with my little honey. (Like mother, like daughter; she's even wearing my gloves)." The Sussexes have been enjoying a lot of quality family time as of late, as the couple reportedly celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary last week with a top secret vacation in Arizona. While neither Prince Harry or Meghan have shared any pictures from the retreat, the Duchess did post a heartfelt pinboard full of images of their family over the years, captioning the post, "Seven years of marriage. A lifetime of stories. Thanks to all of you (whether by our side, or from afar) who have loved and supported us throughout our love story – we appreciate you. Happy anniversary!" Meanwhile, the royal also recently made an appearance on the final episode of the first season of her podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder, where she chatted with Spanx founder Sara Blakely on finding a healthy balance between launching her lifestyle brand, As Ever, while also raising her two kids. "People forget that Lili is 3 and Archie's [6]. So you look at the past five, six years of my life, it's with being pregnant or with a newborn or with a toddler and then another one," she told Blakely. Well, Meghan certainly seems to be doing a great job in my book.
