Coronation Street has confirmed a new landlord for the Rovers Return Inn after Daisy Midgeley makes her exit from the cobbles in upcoming scenes.
Fans of Coronation Street have been hit with a significant update about the Rovers Return, spelling further trouble for Jenny Connor. Fans will recall that Jenny and her stepdaughter, Daisy Midgeley, became the owners of the iconic pub back in 2023.
They used illicit funds after successfully infiltrating the accounts of Jenny's late ex-boyfriend Stephen Reid, who had stolen the cash from Carla Connor's factory accounts. In true soap opera fashion, Carla eventually learned the truth, leading to an agreement between the pair to settle their debts with her. However, following Carla's health battle and kidney transplant, the Underworld boss demanded full repayment to cover her hefty medical bills.
Unable to gather the required funds, Carla decided to put the famous pub up for sale. Jenny, who recently received £60,000 from shares Daisy's father had put in her name, begged for first refusal.
Jenny kept her scheme and her substantial windfall hidden from Daisy, who retaliated by leaving Jenny penniless and without a pub, with help from her mother Christina Boyd, reports Leicestershire Live.
The pair tricked Jenny by creating a fake dating profile for a man named 'Dom'. When 'Dom' showed up in person, he convinced Jenny to invest in his business, promising her that she would double her investment as part of the trio's elaborate con.
In a shocking twist last week, Daisy made off with Jenny's money. After being a fixture on the cobbles for five years, she bid farewell, leaving Jenny devastated by recent events.
However, in a dramatic sting in the tail, Jenny will depart the pub permanently as she moves in with Rita Tanner, having lost her money and seen the pub put up for sale. Spoilers reveal that Jenny is set to pack her bags, signalling a major turn of events at the Rovers.

Charlotte Jordan, portraying Daisy, reflected on her character's departure, saying: "I think it's very bittersweet for Daisy to be leaving. Weatherfield has been her home for a while now and, early on, was giving her all the things she wanted – family, community, stability, people to love more than she perhaps loves herself – but it's also been the source of so much trauma for her."
Looking back on her time on the programme, she said: "As for me, I'm feeling really grateful for my years on the show and the people I've gotten to work with. Producer Kate has been so supportive about me wanting to go back out into the audition circuit and very generous with Daisy's exit story, as she really wanted to do the character justice."
Charlotte expressed heartfelt emotions about her Coronation Street experience, saying "Coronation Street is a very special building, and I have loved it. And it's just goodbye for now, not goodbye forever."
