The 1% Club players tripped up by 'easy' spot the difference question - but can YOU solve it within 30 seconds?

The 1% Club players were tripped up by an 'easy' spot the difference question - but can you solve it within 30 seconds? A previous episode of the ITV quiz show, hosted by Lee Mack, saw 100 contestants attempt to win a huge cash prize. The programme's questions were put to the public, with the percentage who got it right determining the difficulty of each round. Aptly, the final question is one that just 1 per cent of the public answered correctly. The 70% question, which is supposed to be one of the easier ones to figure out, proved to be tricky for several players. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. It read: 'What is the difference between these two images?' Alongside the question, two images were displayed of Coronation Street pub, The Rovers Return Inn. Host Lee quipped: 'That's easy this, one's on the left and one's on the right.' The question tripped up three contestants who were knocked out of the game. Lee revealed the answer and pointed out that the name of the pub on the right picture had changed to 'Ravers Return Inn' instead of 'Rovers Return Inn'. An instalment last month of The 1% Club saw a question knock out a whopping 14 players. The 30% question read: 'Jamil is writing a limerick but needs a word that follows these rules to complete the last line... 'Two syllables, only two different vowels, starts with an even -numbered letter and contains at least three letters from the second half of the alphabet. Which of these words would work?' Players had to choose between Doggie, Blades, Hotel, Prizes and Rabbit. After 30 seconds, it was revealed 14 contestants got the answer wrong and were wiped out from the game. The correct answer was Prizes. The 1% Club airs on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.

Coronation Street spoiler confirms new Rovers Return landlord spelling trouble for Jenny Connor

Coronation Street has confirmed a new landlord for the Rovers Return Inn after Daisy Midgeley makes her exit from the cobbles in upcoming scenes. Fans of Coronation Street have been hit with a significant update about the Rovers Return, spelling further trouble for Jenny Connor. Fans will recall that Jenny and her stepdaughter, Daisy Midgeley, became the owners of the iconic pub back in 2023. They used illicit funds after successfully infiltrating the accounts of Jenny's late ex-boyfriend Stephen Reid, who had stolen the cash from Carla Connor's factory accounts. In true soap opera fashion, Carla eventually learned the truth, leading to an agreement between the pair to settle their debts with her. However, following Carla's health battle and kidney transplant, the Underworld boss demanded full repayment to cover her hefty medical bills. ‌ Unable to gather the required funds, Carla decided to put the famous pub up for sale. Jenny, who recently received £60,000 from shares Daisy's father had put in her name, begged for first refusal. ‌ Jenny kept her scheme and her substantial windfall hidden from Daisy, who retaliated by leaving Jenny penniless and without a pub, with help from her mother Christina Boyd, reports Leicestershire Live. The pair tricked Jenny by creating a fake dating profile for a man named 'Dom'. When 'Dom' showed up in person, he convinced Jenny to invest in his business, promising her that she would double her investment as part of the trio's elaborate con. In a shocking twist last week, Daisy made off with Jenny's money. After being a fixture on the cobbles for five years, she bid farewell, leaving Jenny devastated by recent events. However, in a dramatic sting in the tail, Jenny will depart the pub permanently as she moves in with Rita Tanner, having lost her money and seen the pub put up for sale. Spoilers reveal that Jenny is set to pack her bags, signalling a major turn of events at the Rovers. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! But Glenda quickly finds herself struggling, confiding in Carla about being short-staffed and in urgent need of more employees. This raises the burning question - can Carla find a new barmaid, and who might fill the vacancy? ‌ Charlotte Jordan, portraying Daisy, reflected on her character's departure, saying: "I think it's very bittersweet for Daisy to be leaving. Weatherfield has been her home for a while now and, early on, was giving her all the things she wanted – family, community, stability, people to love more than she perhaps loves herself – but it's also been the source of so much trauma for her." Looking back on her time on the programme, she said: "As for me, I'm feeling really grateful for my years on the show and the people I've gotten to work with. Producer Kate has been so supportive about me wanting to go back out into the audition circuit and very generous with Daisy's exit story, as she really wanted to do the character justice." Charlotte expressed heartfelt emotions about her Coronation Street experience, saying "Coronation Street is a very special building, and I have loved it. And it's just goodbye for now, not goodbye forever."

Coronation Street blunder as actor slips up and uses co-star's real name on air

During the latest episode of Coronation Street one soap star had an awkward blunder during the hit ITV show. An awkward slip-up occurred in the latest episode of Coronation Street when actress Sally Carman, who plays Abi Webster, accidentally referred to a fellow character by their real name during a scene. The blunder went unnoticed by the show's editors and made it into the final broadcast. The gaffe took place at the Rovers Return Inn during Christina Boyd's Bingo night, while Abi was grabbing drinks at the bar from the landlady Jenny Connor and viewers noticed the slip up. ‌ Instead of saying "Cheers, Jenny" she mistakenly said "Cheers, Sal" instead of calling her character's name. Sally accidentally used Jenny's real life name, which is Sally Ann Matthews, reports Leicestershire Live. ‌ One fan was quick to notice the error, as another spotted that Sally Ann Matthews seemed to flash an understanding smile following the name blunder. They took to X, which was previously known as Twitter, writing: "I'm crying, does she say 'cheers sal' and they kept it in?" while another fan replied: "Yes she does!!!" As another noticed Sally's reaction, penning: "That's too funny! And it looks like Sally (Jenny) genuinely smiled like she caught it." Although the fans seemed to see the funny side to the blunder, as one said: "I AM DEAD" as another agreed simply stated: "BIAHAHAHAH." ‌ Meanwhile, in the same episode, Jenny Bradley uncovered Christina's scheming and successfully exposed her attempted theft in front of the pub's patrons. After Christian's deceptive act was uncovered, the police were called to the scene leading to her arrest as her friends and family looked on, stunned. Following closely after this event, viewers will witness the departure of Daisy Midgeley, played by Charlotte Jordan and the daughter of Christina. ‌ Charlotte has portrayed Daisy for four memorable years, and has had many memorable moments on the iconic cobbles - storylines which have fans constantly gripped. Daisy's journey has been defined by pivotal moments - including a miscarriage, a hidden pregnancy, and the return of her estranged mother - which have shaped her journey, culminating in her exit from Weatherfield. ‌ Charlotte even hinted at her plans to depart the soap last year, stating she was eager for a new challenge and a different adventure from the cobbles. Daisy's final scenes are scheduled to air tonight, May 2. ‌ A source claimed to The Sun, stating: "Charlotte's decision to quit Corrie was leaked at a time when the show was going through a bit of a crisis. "When the news broke the narrative was very much, she's moving onto bigger and better things which raised quite a few eyebrows on set." The insider continued: "No one ever wants to leave in the back of a cab, but that's exactly what's happening with Charlotte. "They're not killing her off, but she leaves after burning all her bridges with step-mum Jenny Bradley."

Funny Coronation Street blunder as character accidently uses co-star's real name

An awkward mishap has been spotted on Coronation Street when actress Sally Carman, known for her role as Abi Webster, accidentally addressed a fellow character by the actor's real name during the latest episode of the ITV soap, which airs on Virgin Media in Ireland. The blunder was seemingly missed by the show's editing team and made it through to the broadcast. The gaffe took place at the Rovers Return Inn, specifically during Christina Boyd's Bingo night, when Abi went to fetch drinks from the bar. Instead of calling Jenny Bradley by her character's name, she said: "Cheers, Sal." This slip of the tongue saw Sally Carman inadvertently using Jenny's real-life name, Sally Ann Matthews. One particularly observant fan caught this error and mentioned that Sally Ann Matthews seemed to flash an understanding smile following the misnaming incident. They commented on X, which was previously known as Twitter: "That's too funny! And it looks like Sally (Jenny) genuinely smiled like she caught it", reports Plymouth Live. Another, who shared a clip of the error which has racked up nearly 20,000 views, wrote: "i'm crying, does she say 'cheers sal' and they kept it in?" Someone else suggested: "given they're both called Sal maybe it's an in joke, carla once called leanne Jane." Others simply wrote, "BIAHAHAHAH" and "I AM DEAD". Meanwhile, during the same episode, Jenny Bradley foiled an underhanded plot by Christina, successfully exposing her attempted theft in the midst of the pub's patrons. Subsequent to Christina's deceptive tactics being uncovered, the police were summoned resulting in her arrest as friends and family looked on. Following closely after this event, viewers will see Daisy Midgeley, played by Charlotte Jordan and the daughter of Christina, making her departure from the show. Daisy is expected to make a rather understated exit, leaving behind the world of Weatherfield in the backseat of a taxi cab presumably headed for new adventures. A source alleged to The Sun: "Charlotte's decision to quit Corrie was leaked at a time when the show was going through a bit of a crisis. When the news broke the narrative was very much, she's moving onto bigger and better things which raised quite a few eyebrows on set." The insider continued: "No one ever wants to leave in the back of a cab, but that's exactly what's happening with Charlotte. They're not killing her off, but she leaves after burning all her bridges with step-mum Jenny Bradley." Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on Virgin Media.
