Imps forward Makama has 'crazy' potential
The 21-year-old netted his first professional treble in Saturday's 5-0 League One thrashing of Bristol Rovers.
He broke the deadlock before the break and scored the Imps' final two goals to complete what Skubala described as a "special performance".
"When I came into the building 18 months ago, I said this kid has got talent, you are just going to have to wait for it," he told BBC Radio Lincolnshire.
"But when he does it, and gets it right like today, you can see his technical quality, his power, his physicality and everything he has got."

Lincoln forward Makama signs new three-year deal
Red Imps Club: Lincoln City
The hat-trick took Makama's goal tally to 11 in what has been a breakout season, having managed a total of four goals in the previous two campaigns after his debut in August 2022.
Makama showed great strength and composure for his first two goals on Saturday, driving into the box before beating Rovers goalkeeper Jed Wallace with fierce finishes, while his third was a well-placed effort into the bottom corner after the visitors failed to clear a corner.
"The goals were magnificent," Skubala added.
"He absolutely destroyed their left side and just looked so good today. But I still think he has more to improve and think he can get better, and that's the crazy bit.
"His challenge is to make sure he keeps pushing and keeps making the most of the potential we all think he has. Today, he was just unplayable."

Liverpool make decision on wonderkid's future
Liverpool are looking at potentially sanctioning a couple of final transfer moves before the window closes and we're being very specific about the conditions that we would be willing to accept. So much of the business that has been conducted this summer has been perfect and letting things go slack in the last two weeks would be a mistake. We have to make sure we keep our composure. 🚨2025/26 LFC x adidas range🚨 LFC x adidas Shop the away range TODAY LFC x adidas Shop the home range today! LFC x adidas Shop the goalkeeper range today LFC x adidas Shop the new adidas range today! In terms of incoming moves, Alexander Isak and Marc Guehi remain high on the agenda, although the former appears to be a far more complex deal that the latter to complete. It's a nip and tick situation. 🔴 Meanwhile, we could see Kostas Tsimikas and Harvey Elliott move elsewhere as both them are currently being look as at surplus to requirements, despite still being impactful in the side. But there are also three wonderkids who are currently being assessed for departures and while the intention is to loan them out, a few offers for a permanent transfer might have to be rejected. Liverpool's academy is in flux Anfield Watch understands that 12 more transfers could still be considered before the deadline, and three of them came into focus when James Pearce at The Athletic posted this week's Deal Sheet. We're talking about looking at Lewis Koumas, Kaide Gordon and James McConnell in focus, and especially the former two since they were absent from the U21 squad that lost 4-2 to Leicester City on Monday night in the opening game week of the Premier League second division. All three have featured for Liverpool's first team in some capacity over the last couple of years, but they have not yet been considered to play a more full-time role in the senior set-up. They're still in need of experience and development before they can deliver to a consistently high level. Initially, it appeared as though all possibilities were on the table, looking at permanent and loan moves, but we've now been given an extra bit of clarity on their suitors and Liverpool's intentions. In Pearce's report, he said: "Liverpool are considering loan approaches for youngsters Lewis Koumas, James McConnell and Kaide Gordon. "Koumas, the 19-year-old who has also attracted some permanent interest, is wanted by Sheffield United, Hull City, Wrexham and Preston North End. Norwich City were keen but opted to sign Jovon Makama form League One side Lincoln City instead. "McConnell's suitors include West Bromwich Albion, Oxford United, Hull and Sturm Graz, while Gordon is being pursued by Swansea City and Derby County." A chance to play regular football at a more competitive level is going to do wonders for their careers and they will become far more complete players by the time they return to Arne Slot next summer. It is interested to note that Koumas was looked at as a potential sale, although it appears as though any approaches for him in that manner will be rejected. It certainly gives you an idea about how talented the teenager is for Liverpool to want to keep hold of him at all costs, when a lot of different sales have been agreed already this summer. He's already in the Welsh national team setup. Making permanent transfer calls when the players are still so young is always a bold move, since they've had little opportunity to impress the club and the track-record is limited. Loaning them out seems to be the wisest decision and we'll wish them all the best if any agreements are struck.

Argyle fans have right to air frustration
Head coach Tom Cleverley said Plymouth Argyle supporters are entitled to voice their frustrations after his side were booed off following a fourth successive League One defeat. Argyle went down 1-0 at home to Leyton Orient on Tuesday, to remain pointless and second-bottom of the third tier table. The final whistle at Home Park was greeted with jeers and Cleverley told BBC Radio Devon: "They [supporters] pay their money, they can voice their frustrations and I think they've got the right balance of being demanding as well as not turning on their team and supporting them. "I've been there as a young player when it really can turn and it's hostile and it's not easy to perform under those circumstances. "I would say thanks for the support and keep being demanding as well as backing the team, the best you can." Despite suffering another setback, Cleverley said he was not as "burning angry" as he had been following their previous 3-2 loss at Lincoln City and could see some positives to cling to against Orient. "You can probably tell by my body language I'm not as burning angry as I was on Saturday. I saw a group of guys who were focused, were organised, were trying their best," he said. "We just fell short and that's where we're at at the minute. I thought that the Lincoln and the Barnsley performances were similar in terms of we offered attacking threat but conceded three really soft goals [in each game]. "The Bolton and Leyton Orient performances were similar in that we looked a bit more solid and in control, but that final part, we were just off it. "Putting the two aspects of all those four performances together is what we're striving for. "It's my job to try and figure out the balance of the team in the best way to do that."

Palmer and Bannan 'pivotal' to Wednesday's chances
How important will veterans Barry Bannan and Liam Palmer be for Sheffield Wednesday going forward? Amid all the turmoil with Wednesday, both are doing their best to try to galvanise a threadbare squad made up of youngsters from the Under-21s and Under-18s. There are only 12 senior players left and if Dejphon Chansiri doesn't sell the club, Bannan and Palmer deserve so much praise for sticking around. Rumours of a deduction up to 15 points could pretty much mean relegation to League One. With more than 800 club appearances between them, Bannan and Palmer will be pivotal in the recovery at Hillsborough - whenever that may happen.
