Family members of Punit Goenka , CEO of Zee Entertainment , have acquired a 0.18% stake in the company for around Rs 20 crore, according to data available on StockEdge.Goenka's wife Shreyasi purchased 8,39,490 shares worth Rs 9.99 crore (0.09% stake), while his son Udayan acquired 8,40,020 shares for a similar amount and stake. Following the latest acquisition on 12th May 2025, their combined holding now stands at 0.46%.In March, Shreyasi had purchased 13,83,500 shares worth Rs 13.46 crore (0.14%), and Udayan had acquired 14,15,450 shares also worth Rs 13.46 crore (0.15%). Prior to these transactions, the family held a 4% stake in Zee Entertainment.The latest stake purchase was made on 12th May 2025. Following the update, Zee Entertainment shares rose 5.12% in Tuesday's trade, closing at Rs 123.15. Over the past three months, the stock has gained 23.2%, though it is down 49% over the past three years.According to Trendlyne, the average target price for Zee Entertainment stands at Rs 144, implying a potential upside of nearly 17% from current levels. Among the 19 analysts covering the stock, the consensus rating is 'Buy'.From a technical perspective, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) is at 67.2, indicating neutral momentum. The ace comedian's presence intimated heroes to an extent that they would reject starring with him in the same film. In 1996, he released Dushman Duniya Ka , his final directorial. His final on-screen appearance was in Ghar Bazar , a box office flop. The actor passed away in 2004, leaving millions of his fans shattered and heartbroken.

Thug Life Box Office Collection Day 3: Kamal Haasan's Film Mints Rs 28 Crore
Kamal Haasan's Thug Life collected Rs 28 crore on Day 3 but is receiving a lukewarm response at the box office. The film also stars Silambarasan TR and Trisha Krishnan. Kamal Haasan's much-anticipated action drama Thug Life continues its impressive box office run. On Day 3, the film maintained its steady momentum, collecting Rs 28 crore across all languages. Mani Ratnam's Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan TR and Trisha Krishnan-starrer Thug Life is unfortunately receiving a lukewarm response at the box office. Despite facing multiple challenges, Thug Life is putting up a determined fight at the box office. After a promising opening with Rs 15.5 crore, the film witnessed a sharp drop on Friday, earning Rs 7.15 crore which is a decline of nearly 54 per cent. Saturday saw a further dip, with the film collecting around Rs 5.84 crore, bringing the total to approximately Rs 28.49 crore in India. The Mani Ratnam directorial managed a 35.62 per cent occupancy for its Tamil version on Saturday. However, the film's performance has been impacted by a few setbacks including comparisons to Haasan's iconic Nayakan, a disruption in Karnataka due to a language dispute, and stiff competition from Housefull 5. Thug Life stars a fantastic ensemble including Trisha, Silambarasan, Joju George, Ashok Selvan, Nasser, Abhirami, and more. The music is composed by the legendary AR Rahman, with stunning visuals captured by cinematographer Ravi K Chandran. The movie's editing is handled by A Sreekar Prasad. A part of the review of the film by News18 read, 'Thug Life ends up becoming a film that is torn between telling two stories. One is the unkillable and morally ambiguous king who continues to defy death. This story of Rangaray Sakthivel is a stand-in or metaphor for Kamal Haasan himself and how the actor has stood the test of time. However, this is half-done as the film is also about Amar and his tragedy. The climax is supposed to complete the circle. Now, the 'shield' gets shielded but still, the arc isn't organic and the irony kind of gets lost in the immortality of Sakthivel." Before Thug Life hit theatres, Kamal Haasan promoted the film with great energy. He was especially happy to team up with director Mani Ratnam again after 38 years. Their last film together was the classic Nayakan in 1987. Kamal spoke warmly about the reunion during promotions, calling it a special moment in his career. As per ANI, he told the press, 'Every film is a challenge, especially when you add another director like Mani Ratnam and a story that is so interesting. Fortunately, he included me in the story's preparation. I gave him an idea. Most of the time I was getting vegetables and helping him make it more tasty. That's what I did.
