Andrew Tate accused of sexually assaulting far-Right influencer
Lauren Southern, a Canadian YouTuber, alleges that she was strangled by the self-proclaimed misogynist and pleaded for him to stop his sexual advances after a night out in Romania.
Ms Southern, 30, said she was introduced to Tate during a trip to Bucharest with activist Tommy Robinson, where the pair were exploring funding for a media startup.
In 2018, the year of the alleged incident, she was refused entry to the UK on the grounds of her involvement 'in the distribution of racist material in Luton,' after handing out flyers that read 'Allah is a gay god' outside a restaurant in the town centre. Ms Southern, who has 700,000 subscribers on YouTube, claimed it was part of a 'social experiment' video.
The new claim about the alleged incident is the latest against Andrew Tate, who alongside his brother Tristan, has been charged with rape, among other offences.
In her memoir, This is Not Real Life, Ms Southern recounts how Andrew, 38, drove her to a steakhouse in his 'polished sports car', where he complimented her work and came across as 'flirtatious' and 'charming.' Although she admitted to enjoying these conversations, she said things eventually started to 'feel off.'
Ms Southern claims that she and Robinson's video team were later taken to the Tates' compound but the meeting to discuss a potential new-right wing media company went nowhere.
Ms Southern, alongside her team, returned to their hotel, only to then be messaged by the Tates, who wished to meet with her again. When she returned to the compound, Andrew Tate demanded to take a photo with her, where he posed with a hand around her waist. The brothers then took her to a nightclub, assuring Ms Southern that cars would be sent to bring Robinson and the video team- but her travelling partners never arrived.
She claims that she began to feel nauseatingly drunk after drinking a cocktail and a shot of liquor, and was carried to the bathroom where she vomited. Andrew Tate then allegedly drove her back to her hotel where he carried her to her room.
Ms Southern, who was 'incredibly intoxicated,' was asked by Tate to sleep beside him on the bed, at which point he suddenly kissed her.
'I kissed him back briefly and then told him I wanted to sleep. I said no, very clearly, multiple times, and tried to pull his hands off me. He put his arm around my neck and began strangling me unconscious. I tried to fight back. He repeatedly strangled me every time I regained enough consciousness to pull at his arms,' she claims. I'd prefer not to share the rest. It's pretty obvious.'
In response to the allegations, Tate wrote on X: 'Chooses the chapter about me to release 'for free' to get attention so she can sell her memoirs of promiscuity. Coincidence I'm sure.
'I'm glad you admit you're a drug addict in this post, that might explain why you forgot about all the txts you sent begging to see me again.'
In a reply to another X user, Tate wrote: 'Was 10 years ago. Needs book sales I guess.' He also said he would 'release the txts of her begging for money for her 'company' and begging to see me again.'
The Tate brothers are set to return to the UK to face more than 20 charges of rape and human trafficking. Andrew Tate, 38, faces 10 charges, including rape, actual bodily harm, human trafficking and controlling prostitution for gain, relating to three women.
His brother Tristan Tate, 36, faces 11 charges relating to one woman – including rape, actual bodily harm and human trafficking.

Donald Trump has given Keir Starmer the green light to go ahead and recognise the state of Palestine. It came as the prime minister met with the US president at his Turnberry golf resort in Scotland for crucial talks on the Middle East crisis, trade and Ukraine. He also made it very clear that he does not agree with Benjamin Netanyahu, after the Israeli PM claimed 'nobody is starving in Gaza'. He said: 'Based on television I would say [on agreeing with Netanyahu] 'not particularly', because those children look pretty hungry to me.' He also was not enthused about Israel's tactics saying that nobody was coming out of the crisis well. 'It's a real mess,' he added. But the US president warned that Hamas will not release its final 20 hostages and that was now the sticking point. The issue of recognising Palestine has moved up Sir Keir's agenda in the last week with the issue set to dominate a cabinet meeting this week with ministers deeply divided over what to do. But with a threat on his left flank from Jeremy Corbyn's new party and its support from so-called 'Gaza independents' and more than 250 MPs from nine political parties signing a letter calling for recognition, the prime minister is under pressure to act. Sir Keir made a point of thanking President Trump over his efforts in the Middle East. The prime minister appears to be putting together a plan for peace there following his talks over the weekend with Macron and German chancellor Friedrich Merz in the E3 group of leaders. The prime minister told journalists: 'It's an absolute catastrophe [in Gaza]. Nobody wants to see that. And I think people in Britain are revolted at seeing what they're seeing on their screen. So we've got to get to that ceasefire. Turning to Mr Trump, he added: 'Thank you, Mr President, for leading on that, and also to just get more and more aid in. And again, America has done a lot on this.' The two were also set to discuss the war in Ukraine, with President Trump again emphasising that he is losing patience with Russian president Vladimir Putin. He said: 'We thought we had that settled numerous times, and then President Putin goes out and starts launching rockets into some city like Kiev and kills a lot of people in a nursing home or whatever, you have bodies lying all over the street. And I say that's not the way to do it. So we'll see what happens with that. I'm very disappointed.'

US woman accused of murder plot claims she flew to UK for birthday celebrations
An American woman alleged to have been involved in a failed assassination attempt in the UK has told a jury she flew into the country to celebrate her birthday and attend a boat party. Aimee Betro, 45, is alleged to have flown from Wisconsin as part of a plot orchestrated by co-conspirators Mohammed Aslam, 56, and Mohammed Nabil Nazir, 31, of Elms Avenue in Derby, to attack a rival family on September 7, 2019. A trial has heard allegations that Betro disguised her appearance with a niqab when she tried to shoot Sikander Ali at point blank range outside his home in Measham Grove, Birmingham, but the gun jammed, allowing Mr Ali to flee. Giving evidence in her defence on Monday, Betro, from Wisconsin, told Birmingham Crown Court she had slept with Nazir at an Airbnb during a visit to the UK spanning December 2018 and January 2019. Betro, who denies conspiracy to murder, possessing a self-loading pistol and a charge of fraudulently evading the prohibition on importing ammunition, said she did not meet Nazir – who she 'had feelings for' – during a second visit to the UK in May 2019. In her evidence, Betro said the first two visits had seen her doing 'touristy' things such as attending music events, viewing street art in east London, visiting a friend in Birmingham and taking care of a dog 'at someone's house in the middle of England'. Asked why she had paid a third visit to the UK, arriving at Manchester Airport from Atlanta around two weeks before the shooting, Betro told jurors: 'To celebrate my birthday and I won tickets for another boat party in London. 'And there was another little festival that was at Crystal Palace that I wanted to go to.' Betro's barrister, Paul Lewis KC, asked her what she thought of Nazir after meeting him on a dating app, communicating with him via Snapchat and meeting him in London. Betro answered: 'He was charming and I did like him. He was sweet and I did have feelings for him.' She told the court 'I would guess so' when asked if she thought Nazir had feelings for her, but added that she was not trying to build a relationship with him because they lived in different countries. Standing up in the witness box, Betro, wearing a casual round-necked navy blue top and square-rimmed glasses, began her evidence by giving personal details, including her height as being 5ft 5ins. During her evidence, Betro was asked about messages between her and Nazir which referred to a gun broker website and a silencer. She said she did not remember the message referring to a broker, but told the court she had posted 'gaming things' relating to an an old gaming system. She also told the court she had lived at an address in West Allis, Winsconsin, from 2013 to 2019 and had 'a couple of different degrees' in early childhood education and graphic design. The Crown alleges that Betro returned to the scene hours after the shooting and fired three shots into Mr Ali's house, which was empty at the time, before leaving the UK and flying back to the US the next day. The court heard father and son Aslam and Nazir, who were jailed last year for their part in the bungled assassination plot, were involved in a feud with Mr Ali's father, Aslat Mahumad. Nazir and Aslam had been injured during disorder at Mr Mahumad's clothing boutique in Birmingham in July 2018, jurors have been told, leading them to conspire to have someone kill him or a member of his family. The trial continues.

Councillor ‘reported to cops for racial hatred' after asking if homeless vets will get same support as migrants in hotel
A COUNCILLOR who asked if homeless veterans could also be housed in migrant hotels was allegedly reported to cops for "stirring up hate". Cllr John Edwards claims he was "smeared" after he questioned Bracknell Forest Council's decision to house more than 300 Afghan migrants in four-star hotels in favour of hard-hit locals. 5 5 5 The independent councillor, who serves on Sandhurst Town Council, was reportedly put under investigation after he called for more clarity when hundreds of Afghans were placed in local hotels. He was allegedly reported by Labour councillor Cherise Welch, who accused him of "stirring up hate" after he suggested that key information was being withheld from Berkshire residents. But it has since been revealed that the Government secretly relocated thousands of Afghans to the UK following a major Ministry of Defence email blunder. Writing on his Facebook in April, Cllr Edwards called for the migrants to be treated with "respect and dignity", but admitted he was worried for the knock-on effect for desperate residents. He said: "Bracknell is resettling over 300 Afghans in a local hotel—and I don't believe residents are being told the full story. "I'm increasingly concerned that key information is either being withheld or presented in a way that makes it difficult to see how unfair this scheme is. "I want to make it clear that everyone arriving on this scheme must be treated with respect and dignity. But I also believe it's completely reasonable to ask what impact this scheme will have on our area. "If the money is there to house Afghans in a four-star hotel, why aren't any of the Labour, Lib Dem or Conservative councillors asking why this hasn't been provided for Bracknell's veterans or residents first? "As a Town Councillor, I felt compelled to look into this and speak up, because no other elected representative was." In response, Cllr Welch suggested the post was "complete nonsense", adding she had reported him to "the MOD, Council and local police". Others accused the concerned councillor of "spreading far-right propaganda" and targeting "specific ethnic groups". Speaking to the MailOnline, Cllr Edwards explained he had not been contacted by the police, but said his reputation had been harmed, despite his claims of a cover-up turning out to be true. He added: "The council has fuelled a narrative that I'm spreading hate and misinformation, despite my claims being true. "Another councillor has said publicly they have reported me to the police for stirring racial hatred. "It's stressful and potentially very harmful to my reputation. 'It's a way to smear and silence me, and it has a chilling effect which amounts to, 'disagree with the council and you will be call a racist'." He posted pictures of the interior and exterior facilities in the hotel, blurring out the background to conceal the location. But he was also accused of identifying the hotel by posting the images, which he strongly denies. Earlier this month, it emerged that almost 20,000 Afghans had been secretly relocated to the UK after a major Ministry of Defence error. The February 2022 leak was caused by a Special Forces soldier who accidentally shared a list of 18,714 people who had applied to flee to Britain in the wake of the 2021 Taliban takeover of Afghanistan. The list also included names of their individual UK sponsors including SAS and MI6 spies and at least one Royal Marine Major General. The clumsy click has potential to be the most expensive data breach in history. A total of 18,714 Afghans were included on the secret list, many of whom arrived via unmarked planes which landed at Stansted airport. Although Defence Secretary John Healey has said that the cost of relocating the Afghans and their families will total £400 million, the final cost could be even higher. The information was kept a secret for 18 months through a superinjunction used by the MoD – the first time one had been used by the Government against the press. Around 100,000 were put at risk of Taliban death squads when their names or loved ones were revealed in 2022 — with the blunder then 'covered up' by the gagging order. Almost 900 Afghans on the 'kill list' email leak are ready to sue — with lawyers saying thousands more are poised to join them. Legal sources claimed victims whose lives were endangered could be entitled 'to five-figure payouts'. Councillor Welch has been approached for comment.
