Shoppers heartbroken as M&S discontinues one of its popular perfume dupes
The posh supermarket is well-known for creating bargain scents that smell similar to high-end perfume brands.
But one of the perfumes in its range is no longer available in stores, much to the dismay of a customer who had been trying to stock up.
They wrote on X: "Oh M&S please don't say this has been discontinued? Blue samphire and cassis perfume, I love it."
The supermarket then responded: "Hi Amanda, I'm sorry to say this has now been discontinued. Our Beauty Team have instead suggested the new Warm Bergamot, which you might like".
The Blue Samphire and Cassis perfume had come in a 100ml bottle and sold for £8.
It was described on the M&S website as a "unique, heady fragrance" that "brings together samphire's wild, ocean-inspired scent and the sweet, berry notes of cassis".
The scent came in a deep blue glass bottle.
Although the perfume is no longer available at M&S, it is currently selling on eBay for £29.95 - much more than its original retail price.
Shoppers can still get their hands on other popular perfumes in the supermarket's range, though.
For £8, you can also get the Pink Pepper scene which is described as "fresh, uplifting and feel-good".
The description reads: "Vibrant orange blossom mingles with floral pink pepper and intoxicating jasmine, all layered over a sweet base of patchouli, vanilla and amber musks."
Shoppers say it is a great dupe for Lancome's La Vie est Belle, which costs £97 for a 50ml bottle.
There is also Sweet Pistachio, which has notes of pistachio, tuberose and warm tonka bean.
It's said to have "soft, nutty notes with a touch of floral sweetness".
This one is widely considered to be a dupe for Huda Beauty's Kayali Yum Pistachio Gelato, which costs £79.
Meanwhile Fresh Mandarin has a zingy citrus scent, with notes of fruity cassis, orange flower and mandarin.
M&S says: "This develops into a floral heart of jasmine, rose and ylang ylang with the sweetness of tonka bean, rounded off with a creamy amber, vanilla and sandalwood base."
Best perfumes from M&S
M&S has now become one of the high street's coolest retailers.
Fabulous' Beauty Writer, Mia Lyndon, tried and tested the latest perfumes from Marks and Spencer.
"This summer, M&S introduced several new beauty brands to its shelves and extended its own-label offerings, meaning it's becoming one of the best beauty retailers on the high street.
And the new Provenance perfumes piqued my interest; starring seven fragrances from earthy sandalwood to sugary rose - they're some of the best-value fragrances I've reviewed this year.
Costing just £16 each, here are my favourite perfumes from the new collection..."
Provenance No.1 Citrus Soleil Eau de Parfum Set
Sugary, sticky and fresh, Citrus Soleil smells like a mouthful of boiled sweets with sparkling notes of lemon peel and orange blossom. It gives you an instant hit of sunshine.
Provenance No.2 Neroli Blush Eau de Parfum Set
Crisp and floral, Neroli Blush smells like fresh laundry and powdery pink musk. With sumptuous notes of jasmine with tangy grapefruit, it's perfect for hunkering down this autumn/winter.
Provenance No.3 Coastal Breeze Eau de Parfum Set
Coastal breeze smells like the first breath of morning air. It's totally unisex, it stars seaweed and crisp white musk, striking a balance between sweet and cool.
You can read the full article, where Mia shares her thoughts on every perfume in the collection - here.
It comes as M&S is dealing with a major cyber attack that has left it unable to take orders on both its website and app.
The incident began a week ago when customers were unable to use contactless payments in store or pick up click-and-collect orders.
On Friday, the supermarket said it was halting taking online orders as part of its "proactive management of the incident".
It said it was "working extremely hard" to restore its online operations and that stores remain open and ready to serve customers.
The full product range is still available to browse online and it's understood shoppers can still get the M&S range through the Ocado website as normal.

Check your attic for these items to sell at your local car boot and make £100s
MoneyMagpie Editor and financial expert Vicky Parry shares the best-selling items for car boot sales ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend A summer clear out before the "back to school" feeling in September (which we still feel as adults, even without kids) feels great and is a perfect way to raise some extra cash. The bank holiday is looming, and that means one thing: lots of mega car boot sales. Car boot sales are perfect for clearing out your clutter. But what sells well – and what should you sell elsewhere? Check your attic for these items right now to find some hidden goldmines that could raise a bunch of cash. Books, CDs, and DVDs As people turn back to physical media, books, CDs, and DVDs always do surprisingly well at car boot sales, even though the individual prices are usually around 50p to £1 per item. If you have a large collection you want to downsize, this is one of the best ways to raise some extra cash quickly rather than donating to charity, thinking you can't get any money for them. If you have any special editions make sure to research the online resale price first, taking into account what it would cost you to pack and send it if you sold online instead. This will help you get a fair price for limited editions. Kitchen gadgets When did you last use that breadmaker? Did you try a slow cooker once and now it's gathering dust? Kitchen gadgets that are in working order but take up valuable counter space can be easy to sell at car boot sales. Similarly, unusual mugs and dinnerware sets can catch a collector's eye. It's probably not the place to get rid of your Spode or Wedgewood, but vintage designs and mismatched tea sets can do very well. Children's toys If your child has outgrown or lost interest in a toy, it's almost guaranteed to sell at a car boot if it's in good condition. People love to spoil the kids in their life and it's even better when they can do so on a budget! Vintage toys can also do really well. If you still have some LEGO from your childhood, it's likely to be considered vintage. There are collectors for things like original computer consoles, original Polly Pockets, and Barbies. Make sure you do your research online first, as you might make a bigger profit selling to a specialist retailer or on eBay. Vintage clothes Vintage clothes and shoes can sell well at car boot sales if you make sure they are clean, in good condition, and displayed well. Rather than a big bundle on a table, hang each item out and put your vintage shoes out in pairs. As for what counts as vintage? Clothes from around the year 2000 and earlier are considered vintage. Original band t-shirts, classic Converse and Doc Martens, and vintage coats and jackets do very well. Memorabilia and trends Finally, check out current trends before you head to the car boot sale. You might find that, for example, your Ozzy Osbourne original merchandise could fetch a decent penny right now. Or, if you've been gifted Labubus that aren't your style, or have Oasis memorabilia, you could earn some extra cash. Check out what's popular online, look for social media trends, and see if you have something that used to be mundane and is now popular. Even things like vintage Pyrex dishes have a niche audience of collectors who love to go to car boot sales! When car boot sales aren't right for selling A car boot sale is perfect for getting rid of your bric-a-brac and some popular items. But if you have a collection of rare items, or even some vintage toys or vinyl LPs, you could get a better price elsewhere. It takes a bit more legwork than standing at a car boot sale on a Saturday, but you could net yourself a lot more cash for specialist items if you take the time to do some research. Collectors will often use websites like eBay, which means you can research how much items are likely to sell for and price them realistically for auction or Buy It Now. For particularly rare or niche items, check out forums, local marketplaces, and specialist retailers. They'll take a commission from the sale, or offer you a lower price so they can profit on the resale, but it is likely to still net you more than haggling at a car boot. Selling tips To make the most of your wares at a bank holiday car boot sale, try these tips: Arrive very early to get a good pitch Remember to take tables and clothes racks to display your items Price items up before you go and be prepared to barter Don't agree to set items aside in the first few hours – if somebody is serious about buying, they'll get it on the spot Take someone with you to ensure you can take a break and keep eyes on your items when unpacking Make sure you have a float of change on you at the start: this helps reduce the pressure to barter to a lower number if someone only has a twenty-pound note to offer! Be ready to let items go for a lower price towards the end of the day, but for some items, have a lower limit in mind and stand fast on it when bargaining. People can haggle hard, because they know they're about to get a bargain: be realistic, but don't back down if you have researched an item's value beforehand. If it doesn't sell at the car boot, you can always try eBay or other marketplaces.

Boden shoppers have been raving about a 'versatile' jacket that is stylish for both the summer and autumn seasons. The jacket comes in three different colours - navy and ivory (was £140 now £56), warm ivory (was £130 down to £52) and strawberry tart red (was £130 down to £52), with sizes ranging from 6 to 22. The Holly Collared Knitted Jacket comes with gold-tone buttons, which adds a touch of elegance to the clothing. It also comes with a neat, boxy cut, creating a regular, easy shape that isn't too tight. You could style this jacket with a pair of trousers, skirt or dress for any informal or formal setting. From superstar gigs to cosy pubs, find out What's On in Wales by signing up to our newsletter here. Elsewhere, Joanie's Soft Tailored Blazer, which comes in eight different colours, was £99 but is now as low as £39.60. But for a jacket with a different style, you could purchase the Per Una Pure Cotton Embroidered Gilet for £49.50 at M&S. Back at Boden and the Holly Collared Knitted Jacket has received a rating of 4.5 out of five stars and 66 reviews. One happy reviewer said: "Fits perfectly. Very good quality and looks fantastic". While another had one issue with its sizing, they were overall happy with their purchase. They said: "This is a fabulous jacket and excellent quality. I purchased size 12 and body wise it fits me perfectly but I am short so it may be too short for a taller lady. Sleeves are too long for me but I will shorten them". Meanwhile, another shopper described the jacket as "very chic" with "Parisian vibe" and said they would be "stylish in summer and autumn". They added: "Gorgeous button detail. Bargain in sale too. Thank you Boden. Very happy indeed". Unfortunately, not everyone was pleased with their purchase. One customer reviewed: "Lovely jacket and beautiful colour. Unfortunately the style didn't suit me, so I sent it back. The return/refund was quick and easy." And another shopper said: "I ordered this thinking it was more of a cardigan, my fault as it does say jacket. It is quite heavy and felt a bit stiff and uncomfortable. Also quite short in the body so unfortunately not for me I returned it." But others praised the jacket for its versatility. "Such great quality and I can wear it with jeans, smart dress and as a jacket with lots of other clothing," one remarked. And another said: "Beautiful knitted jacket! I have worn with jeans and kitten slingbacks as a casual outfit but could definitely wear with smart navy trousers, very versatile. "The knit is beautiful and a good weight to it, very good quality as usual from Boden. The fit is true to size."
